[size=6]Survey of the Imperial Northern Territories
This is a thread to cover the fanmade planets that House Horuset has created for the Northern Territories. These planetary objects have been written by our community for our community. This information is collected and presented in an easy to read format to assist with the writing of stories or the setting of operations or other Horuset content. The information is limited to represent what is known about the scattered systems of the Outer Rim, and in some cases approaching Wild Space. These systems represent the edge of the Empire, sometimes untouched by war because of their obscure status or because neither power bloc have been interested in them yet. With a refocus of attention in the Northern Territories new worlds come to light and forgotten secrets revealed.
These planets are all effectively free to use as a story writer sees fit, but to encourage natural exploration of the galaxy the information in this thread conveys what is commonly known about these planets thanks to previous surveys by the Empire or independant factions. When it comes to exploring some of their more intricate details there is a Planetary Manager that should be able to help you with the setup of stories and the natural development of unique cultures and histories.
A small holorecording would play once the file was downloaded. A synthetic Imperial voice would speak, near entirely monotone.
"The galaxy is a large canvas for the Empire to take control of; by the decree of the Dark Lord, Darth Horuset, the Powerbase focuses it's attention on the Imperial Northern Territories with Sernpidal at it's center. Many of these worlds are recent discoveries by the galactic community, or have only just fully come to the attention of the Imperial Diplomatic Corp and Outreach Bureau, and so information may be lacking in some zones. When possible exploration of these systems is encouraged to further Imperial goals, though war time efforts remain first priority for expedition forces."
And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file allows readers to consult various recorded planets.

Sernpidal
System: Julevian system
Suns: Julevia
Galactic Grid: L-3
Class: Terrestrial - Continental
Inhabitants: 21,000,000
Civilization Level: Galactic
Exports: Starships
- The very edge of the Empire, closer to Wild Space, and the major industrial hub on one end of the Tingel Arm.
- Known for it's major orbital shipyards that are split into three major stations, all now operated by the Horuset Powerbase.
- The surface is dusty and arid with the natives growing their food in underground agri-farms.
- The Tauril invasion has largely been recovered from, with the impact well managed with the assistance of the Horuset Powerbase.
- Sernpidal has a constant and ongoing media campaign through the Imperial Outreach Bureau, with the goal of the shipyard gaining public attention and other parts of the Sith Empire assisting where possible.
- The surface of Sernpidal is fundamentally unsustainable, with all agriculture and complex life existing in subterranean cave-farms. So dust-choked and barren is the surface that it never managed to evolve complex life beyond a point at which classification between flora and fauna cannot even be discerned. Even with subterranean farms fed by aquifers, Sernpidal is not able to produce enough food to sustain a population venturing even into the low millions, and thus is fundamentally less efficient to undertake any form of farming not using crops specially adapted for cave-dwelling, such as some fungi. In fact, to sustain its sizeable population the planet relies on consistent and sizeable imports of food and water from the Empire.
- Sernpidal joined the Sith Empire at the onset of the Great Galactic War alongside Belkadan and Ruuria. This saw a Republic Fleet trapped within Sith Empire lines and ultimately eliminated during the opening weeks of the resurgence of the Empire.
- Sernpidal during the Great Galactic War designed and is a primary producer of the B-5 Decimus Bomber used by the Sith Empire and named after Darth Decimus. The Bomber was outlawed as part of the terms of the Treaty of Coruscant due to it's use against less than fully militarised targets but with the breaking of the treaty has seen extensive use in the Galactic War, the War against Zakuul and the Third Galactic War.
- After the Conquests of the Eternal Empire saw the Sith Empire and the Republic paying tithes to the emergent faction, Sernpidal was near entirely stalled out due to it being far from the Sith Empire's heartlands and a refocused Empire ensuring that it's deeper territory shipyards received what few supplies remained.
- During the War against Zakuul, Sernpidal gained the attention of Lord Kalkoran and Lord Sanguinis from the Kalkoran Powerbase, alongside Lord Tokiai from the Vipion Powerbase. As a result, Lord Kalkoran devised a system to see the dilapidated shipyard become the crown jewel of the Horuset Powerbase as a way to ensure that the Empire was able to operate effectively in the north and ensure that the Powerbase remained both relevant during such chaotic times and unable to be ousted from their positions due to their importance to the war effort.
- An event now known as the 'Taurill Invasion' started with an asteroid heading for Sernpidal. The Horuset Powerbase landed on the asteroid with the intention to destroy it and divert the debris. Only partially successful, the planet was hit with debris and a Taurill infestation. Taurill roamed the planet, with the Horuset Powerbase both defending population centres and striking at the heart of the infestation in the caverns and ravines in which the Taurill made their home. After devising a way to see the Taurill Menace ended by rendering the creatures cut off from their hive, the Horuset Powerbase fought for control over a Communications Tower near the Taurill Nest to transmit the signal, which saw the death of Raeniu Vipion but the ultimate success of the mission. The Taurill menace ended when the Horuset Forces, killed the remnants within the Tauril Nest.
- Sernpidal was part of The Northern Territories Campaign that the Horuset Powerbase was forced into due to a fracturing Imperial frontline. The Campaign began with the Horuset Forces arriving just in time to force the retreat of a Republic Fleet that had made orbit of Sernpidal and was attempting to defeat the garrison flotilla and destroy the shipyards. The Horuset Powerbase then led the campaign from an outpost on Plooma, raiding several Republic planets with the impact of diverting all the resources back to Sernpidal and seeing the Republic stalled in the region for several months. Plooma became a planet known for it's role in defending Sernpidal.
- Sernpidal was travelled through by the Horuset Powerbase on their way to Orsus, a partial Ecumenopolis world that saw the Horuset Powerbase ensure the Sith Empire's hold on the region was maintained further.
- Sernpidal has since the Horuset Powerbase's tenue began, transformed from a dilapidated shipyard into one that has at times nearly reached it's output prior to the Conquests of the Eternal Empire. While there is always room to improve, Sernpidal has become the pre-eminent world of the Sith Empire in the north once again.

- Ganta city is the hub of Imperial rule with a developing industrial zone.
- An Imperial offensive in the Northern Territories claimed Plooma for the Empire and declare a colony world, to boost the initially small population.
- Anti-Imperial sentiment grew from the initial population and spread to following settlers.
- A Republic funded seperatist movement had been crushed by Horuset elements, with the last known leaders fleeing the world.
- Sith Tarimra and Lord Teius Horuset broke the back of the last known major resistance.
- Horuset continues to encourage the industrialisation of Plooma to create essential supplies for nearby Sernpidal.

Trahknor
System: Trakhnor
Suns: Trinary
Galactic Grid: L-3
Class: Terrestrial - Desert
Inhabitants: 640,000 - Slightly Diverse Demographics
Civilization Level: Primitive
Exports: None
- Open deserts and canyons cover the majority of the world, with intense heat making solar rotations dangerous for travellers unaware of the deadly heat.
- Roaming tribes often contest for what little resources the planet holds while avoiding the dangerous animals found in the dunes.
- The large predator animals also defy reasonable explanation as it would seem the planet does not hold enough life to sustain creatures that can grow to the size of tanks or other creatures, like a distant cousin to the Ackley.
- The history of the world is debated as there seems to be no indication of previous civilization yet it is home to Humans, Zabraks, and near-human species that are difficult for biologists to identify.
- Imperial expeditionary forces have recently started probing the world to examine for potential uses.

Alsolun
System: Alsolun
Suns: Binary
Galactic Grid: L-5
Class: Terrestrial - Desert
Inhabitants: 1,800,000 - Slightly Diverse Demographics
Civilization Level: Space
Exports: Imperial fighting forces
- A primarily desert planet with notable caverns, it has been noted to hold a strong connection to the force. Ruins on the planet suggest previous interaction with ancient Sith, or a similar culture. Early scouting efforts indicate that the ruins may predate the Sith entirely, perhaps dating back to the First Great Schism.
- Many caverns and ruins remain unexplored due to a wariness surrounding the force connection and possible inhabitants of the caves.
- Declared a frontier world for settlement efforts, though had been bombarded by Horuset fleet elements due to a threat in the caverns.
- Currently serving as a training ground for military forces.

War in the Northern Territories
The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!
|
"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."
((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
