Leive's Holo Diary IC

#1
The Holo recording would flicker to life:
File loading...
File: Entry one: Reflection Loading...
File opening complete:

The Twi'lek was sat, what seemingly was an urban area, war torn from what was around her. She looked around briefly before speaking.

Reflection

"For a long time I have thought about making and documenting one of these, considered it several cycles ago and here I am, Im not planning anything special...merely a reflection of how far I have become from a scrawny, timid...little girl who had no hopes in life. To being dragged into serving a greater cause, The Empire. One time I feared the Empire, the tales of such an aggressive vengeful force taking revenge on its long standing enemy and anything in its path. And now? I want to see it's enemy gone as much as the next Imperial or sith. For reasons I may share in a later log."

Leive would look away from the holo sat as though she was reflecting, a hint of a smile as she was thinking of what to say, clearly never having done one of these before then she took a breath and spoke:

"As im sure it is stated in the Horuset Archives, I am the Lorekeeper's, Sith Kaer's Apprentice, The person responsible for shaping me into something better, something with purpose. learning and honing skills I would never think available to me. And it is thanks to her. And for that I will always remember. She recently became our Dark Lord's Envoy of inquisition...Serving her well no doubt. Someday I hope to serve Darth Horuset in a greater capacity...however that is likely not to be possible."

"With the Current deployment, which I shall not share due to if this is taken or even hacked... It is tough...I finally understand why soldiers, suffer from mental issues, mental strain. the constant destruction, deaths of comrades, deaths of imperial citizens...family...There is a difficulty to being stuck on a front, for someone who is alien it can be rather...lonely, a feeling I haven't felt since I was caged like an animal in huttspace...being transported places..."

Leive would finally stare back at the Holorecording, a piercing stare as she spoke with certainty

I have a lot to reflect on and hopefully with some of these logs that are to come, I can catch up...reflect on my actions. Reflect on the past. For that has what has allowed me to become what I am...who I am."

At that the file would shut...the holorecording flickering off

Spoiler: Disclaimer

The holo recording would flicker to life once more:
File loadingFile: Entry two: Roots LoadingFile opening complete:

The orange Twi'lek would once more come on screen, sat in a small room...presumably it was the apprentice quarters aboard the Th'asidra, she sat at her desk contemplating.

Roots

"To understand where I fit in...and how I got to where I am I should...go back to the beginning. Where I started this...journey? Yes...journey. I started such on Ryloth, born in my home village, I was the second born of three. A brother being the eldest. A younger sister. I had a relatively fun childhood...I remember several of the others, my friends, Shiah and several others used to play many games. The main one being viev vil kalwan...or hide and seek in basic. I suppose the cause of me being abducted from my family was that game. I was around the age of nine, in fact I had just turned nine when I was taken. Picked up by this...Trandoshan, placing a hand over my mouth as a kicked and tried to scream...but no one heard. it caged me like some animal, locked this little scared girl up dragging her into a life of servitude...as a trophy...a collectable...an entertainer. This little girl alone, no family, no friends. I was scared. I cried, and cried, until I couldn't no more. Until the tears stopped.  Until I could cry no more."

Leive would look away from the recording perhaps out of a window or at something that was out of view before eventually after several seconds of pausing she spoke again:

"Nar Shaddaa, a hutt moon known for its galactic trading hub and is considered one of the places for commerce, its nightlife, clubs and bars...well the nice parts. In reality? It is a cess pit of scum, thieves, thugs, and trapped slaves. The cartels care very little as you can imagine. as long as people stay out of their business and their interests...you can do whatever you want unless you have a shock collar on.

Nearly seven years I spent there... six of them in servitude. Living in cage like dorms...with others who were in my situation...Lashings for punishment...a...amongst other things. No hopes, no prospects. I remember when I was around thirteen and several others tried to escape. Three tried, three were never seen again all three were hung directly in front of the dorm...for all to see."

Leive then sighed shakily before composing herself to speak once more, she briefly wiped her eyes as though she had began to tear up:

"My first kill was during my escape. At the time? I was in tears I had committed murder, and in doing so killed a cartel slaver, and inevitably crossed the Cartels. I feared for my life. When I had hidden I was shaking with both adrenaline and with panic. I was being transported to another buyer not to far of a walk from the place of my current owner's. The boy was clearly a new recruit of some kind, arrogant, and as some males are...upfront, my hands were bound together with cuffs. To miss out his intention, he pinned me against an alley wall with his arms not by my hands...I grabbed his vibroknife and stabbed up, the knife piercing in between his neck and chin. He began to cough spewing the blood at me as he choked on it as well. I never noticed then but the fear in his eyes as he knew this was his end is almost satisfying to remember now, almost like...he deserved it, and that I would do it again, if the opportunity arises again, this time with a smile...one satisfaction. I stabbed him let go of the dagger and placed my bloody hands over my eyes and cried...for several minutes until I heard shouting, then I ran, and ran. Ironically I ended up running into the imperial embassy and being detained... Then a collar put on me once more...a glimpse of freedom taken away.

That was until a Sith found me when on a diplomatic trip...He immediately pointed at me, and once more I was put on a ship to an unknown destination...imperial marked shuttles and guards. I was dragged out of the shuttle on a planet I did not quite understand...into a culture and society I did not understand. For many years I didn't understand, I felt like an outsider, an undesirable who didn't understand their way of life, or the society she lived in. I was no longer a slave for profit or for beauty, but a servant of the Empire's will. From a timid, lonely, shy, little Twi'lek girl, what I am now is a testament of what I have become. Something far better."

At that Leive would turn to and lean over to the recording, switching it off

The holorecording would shut down.

The holo recording would flicker to life once more:

File loadingFile: Entry two: Realisation LoadingFile opening complete:

The orange Twi'lek would once more come on screen, sat in a small room...presumably it was the Household Sith quarters aboard the Th'asidra, she sat at her desk contemplating. cladded in a fur necked trenchcoat her eyes unnatural, but given the blue of the holorecording, it was difficult to tell what colour

Realisation

"It has been a while since I have done one of these. A very long time. This is a short one...given these are time consuming and I have other matters to tend to. After reading the other entries...I have come to the realisation long ago that who this person was...was not me, it was weak, underserving, a child. An origin that has formed and shaped me into who I am -what- I am. I am a Sith of the order, of the Empire. I have become far greater than I ever could have been. An opportunity, a gift I myself do not ever seek to waste."

A pause came shortly after before her orange stained eyes narrowed against the display

"Some still seek to push me down, oppress me. The child who once wrote this would whimper and quiver and accept this as fact, accept this as my place. It is the sith way to break your chains, mine is my genetic disposition, a chain that will continue to make me stronger. With the war going...less than well, I have come to realise that without this Empire, without the Sith. What would I have been...where would I be now. Not that it matters. I will fight, bleed and maybe even die for the Empire, thats less than what many would do here. I have noticed many seem oblivious in acknowledging we are losing, and if we do not fix our problems soon, we may be looking at losing this war. Dubrillion was a 'victory' but even the upper echelons know...our situation is dire. I must do more, as the Dark Lord's Seeker and as her subject to do more. While others will powerplay and squabble, I will seek to prove to her, her most capable spy, a capable sith under her powerbase. She will never admit it, nor would she endorse it, afterall she is a staunch traditionalist, I would expect nothing less from her... "
At that the sith got up picking her her datapad and turning to the door, the camera then shut off and the recording had ended

Trial

"It has been many cycles since my last recording into this diary, part of me had forgetten I even recorded such a thing. Today I find myself with free time to finally reflect on the past, my actions, my triumphs to lead me to this moment. My Sith Trial will be the topic of this entry...with many to follow it given recent events."

The alien shifted in her chair slightly passivley looking at something out of view

"My Sith Trial...where to begin. I was sent on a somewhat unique assignment. Split into two sections I was assigned the first individually, to locate the parchment that contained the map carved onto it. This map lead to a temple associated with the Revanites and relics of old. Zygerrians were also looking for this treasure. Infiltrating their camp was...problematic, and many of my items of value and use such as armour and weaponry had to be left behind. I had assumed this was a one parted mission."

"The Second was to find this relic, only there were now two of us. My Ally and friend, A'tul.

Now joined together in the same cause, A'tul battered and bruised from encountering mandalorians and I armourless in slave robes from my infiltration, we pushed on looting whatever we could, specifically for myself. Upon opening and finding the tomb, we had discovered we had been followed. Two revanites attempted to kill us and take the relic for themselves...I fought with merely a vibrosword and the ambition of survival, A'tul the same, yet to this very day he could have left me to fend for myself, he could have done what many many other sith do when faced with hardship...self preserve. And yet he did not. The bond forged in this trial victory was one we both remember...to this very day."

Leive turned to the recording.

"And yet he is gone, the only true ally I had counted on, trusted, fought side by side with. Gone to wherever he has gone, I do not care. He has betrayed my trust...our friendship and allegiance...more importantly put House Kelsa in a situation of his own doing."

Leive leaned forward to switch of the recording

The orange Twi'lek would once more come on screen, this time she was elsewhere, seemingly within her estate quarters. cladded in a fur necked trenchcoat her eyes unnatural and peircing, the blue obscuring their true Dark intent

Envoy

"With my last log reflecting on the past of my own trial and my relation with my closest Ally. As his successor to the Envoy of Resurgence branch, after we all assumed he had passed on. I have come to realise that the past me, the younger and unknowing me was chained, shackled by the acknowledgement that I as an Alien could never surpass those around me. Oh how I was wrong."

Leive would roll her eyes, as though she seemed to be doing this as rather a chore, and task of logging than a personal diary

"A'tul, publically as a Sith known as Sith Kelsa, strived for this Envoy role to be created, it's purpose was to manage supply chains of our powerbase, encourage growth of assets and to ensure all are contributing to the Imperial war machine. And So with political persuation and support the position of Envoy of Resurgence was created, and Kelsa the first 'Provisional' Envoy of Resurgence. Sith Tarimra the Former was my new Envoy as Seeker, I handled that quickly. Aligning myself with my longstanding ally Kelsa under his purview."

"The role of Envoy was not a thought until Kelsa's demise and considered MIA. However I was called...to it, I knew I was one of few to be able to fill the role and I believe the Dark Lord did too. I went to her and simply stated I wish to take it as mine and with some convincing she and Lord Kalkoran made it so."

A long pause came over her

"I have achieved something the young naive little leive did not think was possible. To break the glass barrier. Break out from the chains that shackled me down. I now have way more responsibilities than merely the Seekers, I am responsible for the Entire logistical supply chain of Horuset forces and Sernpidal. There is no more room for idle and stagnant matters. We are at war, Logistics is keeping this war going, and all will do their part. Even if I have to skull drag deviants and troublemakers out of my branch. With the Ignia gone, Zarchas gone and Tarimra gone, someone must step into this vaccum, and actually focus not on eachother's petty egos or ambition. But this war."

A long pause came over her before she turned off the recording once again

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
