Report: Incident at Garrison 2
by Acolyte Agran
I was deployed under Sith Andnoa's leadership alongside Apprentice Veilak, Apprentice Nivalis, and Acolyte Sah’sha, in the response operation at Garrison 2, which had fallen to chaos following the sudden and violent betrayal of its own droid complement. Upon arrival, we were met with death, debris, and live droid fire. We were forced to engage hostile units across the outer segments before reaching the main operational facility, where we located Imperial survivors under siege.
Field Observations:
- The droids attacked without discrimination, wielding any and all weapons or improvised means to kill.
- The outer garrison was nearly devoid of life; by the time we reached the main structure, most personnel were already dead or critically wounded.
- Survivors were few- isolated, surrounded, and short on supplies with communications cut due to the ruinous weather Among them a technician*.
A wounded Imperial, Sergeant Micah, I assisted and spared from death stated that all was calm until the Droids suddenly went haywire and began shooting and attacking everyone present.
Salvage & Technical Review:
Following suppression of the droid threat, I took initiative to recover five of the least-damaged chassis, guided by my very basic training in Droid Engineering under Captain Tillie and Neophyte Kalkoran. These were later transported back to Garrison 1 with the assistance of several rescued soldiers.
Once back, I worked alongside Neophyte Kalkoran to inspect the recovered chassis in a controlled environment. Thanks to her deeper technical insight, we uncovered that:
- This was no ordinary slicer job, nor a one man's job, but clearly a work of multiple figures.
- The receivers were lodged within narrow hollowed-out segments inside the memory cores, designed to evade deep scans and less through physical inspection.
- Every element of the sabotage showed a level of precision rarely seen and sign of a long time-span behind the job.
- Notably, during the analysis, we discovered that all Memory Cores within these chassis, unlike the Unit TX-22 found previously, showed no obvious seams or signs of tampering. The receivers appeared thus fully integrated, matching the internal and external quality standards almost perfectly- as if prepared for direct mounting without arousing suspicion. This sharply contrasts with the TX-22 unit from Garrison 1, which bore the marks of a rushed and/or less skillful modification.
Identification of the Culprit:
Among the survivors was a technician*, located and escorted by Apprentice Nivalis. Though initially presenting as an Imperial, Specialist Vadre, it was later found out that this individual was, apparently, a Republic-aligned Jedi spy who escaped the escorting Apprentice through a leap from the Garrison 2 bridge before mounting a speeder, locations unknown. What is certain is that there were other infiltrators in the other outposts where Droids went haywire as well, signaling a coordinated escalation prepared months-prior.
