Public Call for Operation Team Assembly

Attached to the file would be a prerecorded holomessage that when selected would play. Trakaton's form would blaze to life in the classic display of a holographic transmission, the electric blue tinge accenting some features while diminishing others. Trakaton would be stood with his arms folded across his armoured chest, the cloak hanging loosely from his shoulders and the custom-fit plates of the armour looking as comfortable as an embrace. The scar on the right side of his face would be barely visible, his head ever so slightly turned to the right and he'd speak with a tone of authority:

"Our Sith Empire in many ways is still yet to explore the ruins and remnants of the Sith Empire that came before us. Past Dark Lords of the Sith saw the last Empire crumble and a change underwent our very species as we fought against extinction. We have expanded out once more to challenge the Republic, but without understanding exactly how our past Empires came to an end, we leave ourselves unguarded from the same outcome.
The planet of Upekzar, a relatively minor planet and system within the Stygian Caldera, was lightly inhabited by our previous Empires and was subsequently abandoned as our populations needed to move in order to survive. While the odd modern outpost dots the islands known as the Circle of Visions, what has drawn my attention is the orbital discovery of ruins that exist not ontop of one of the islands, but on the seafloor between a trio of them.
Upekzar was known for it's studies into visions and sorcery alike, attracting Kissai dedicated towards becoming sages and futuretellers as well as being part of the path of an old pilgrimage that Sorcerers would take as they learned their craft across the old Sith Empire. Near all of this knowledge has since been lost with the crumbling of the old Empire, and it is time that we see a part of it returned to the Empire.
I will be providing a DZ-3 submarine intended for usage at the very bottom of the Upekzar sea that surrounds the Circle of Visions island chain. The DZ-3 submarine is equipped with plating and specialised equipment to survive the crushing pressure and short range sensor equipment that will be able to be used to detect the exact layout and specifications of the ruins themselves.
Your objective is simple. Locate and outline the seafloor ruins, give an apt name upon discovery, and confirm an entranceway into the ruins themselves that has not been flooded and report back so that a specialised team can be assembled to investigate.
To those who see this operation complete, you will be rewarded proportional to your position in the Sith Empire.
An Imperial Soldier, will receive access to a single blaster or vibroblade upgrade category of their choice alongside receiving a stipend of credits to do with as they wish.
An Acolyte, will receive a singular piece of armour to protect a body part of their choice that they will wear under their robes with my personal and public confirmation that I permit such. The Acolyte must approach me personally to receive such a reward.
Those who have passed the Acolyte Trials, will receive a reward of their own choosing."

*With that the hologram would flicker and then fade from view. Leaving the viewer able to access the rest of the information provided.*

Location: Upekzar - Abandoned planet of the old Sith Empire

((OOCly: As this event will likely take place entirely within a Submarine, I would recommend using a Manaan SH's lower levels and have it decorated as such!))

Upekzar: Upekzar is a planet of the old Sith Empire, when Dark Lords like Marka Ragnos ruled supreme and pilgrimage between different planets as a way to gain experience within a craft was common. The Circle of Visions is a series of volcanic islands that was the sole point according to records that the old Sith Empire habituated with small shrines and ruins dotting the surface alongside a scattering of modern outposts for archaelogists and students of the dark side alike. Located within the Stygian Caldera, the planet is akin to the likes of Korriban, Ziost and the Dromund system and is less than a day's travel away from any.

DZ-3 Submarine: Specifically designed for underwater use and modified to be useable in the depths of Upekzar's seas, the DZ-3 can house a pilot, geological surveyor, communications operator and a fourth floating crewmember to see the submarine operating at peak efficiency with each defined crewmember having their own station and equipment. It's databanks are filled with information relevant to the time period that Upekzar was used by the old Sith Empire, leaving the submarine as a functional vehicle with the capability to catalogue and provided simple analysis of what it discovers in the depths of the oceans. The pilot is responsible for the navigation of the vessel and ensuring that the submarine can get close enough to detected sites that the geological surveyor can map them. The geological surveyor is responsible for mapping and identifying any sites uncovered while the communications operator is responsible for maintaining contact with the surface and other submarines alongside using their readings to identify any Aquarian wildlife that could pose a thread to the vessel.

Objectives: In this task there will be two primary objectives and one secondary objectives.

Primary Objective I: Scout the seafloor ruins and document it's layout and specifications

Primary Objective II: Find an unflooded entrance so that the ruins can be explored at a later date

Secondary Objective I: Name the site

Time Frame: The team will have 21 days to document the site before another Powerbase lays claim to the ruins.
((The 10th of February will be the deadline!))

Estimated Party Size: The recommendation of Lord Kalkoran is that a party size of four will be necessary to complete the objectives of this mission.

((Four means start planning when to set a date for the Operation at four people with a hard cap of absolutely no more than four. Please find a GM from within this number.))

MISSION PARTICIPANTS:

Apprentice Zotam
Apprentice Viasma
Apprentice Vipion
Apprentice Syndathik

OBJECTIVES:

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

Scout the seafloor ruins and document its layout and specifications - [successful]

Find an unflooded entrance so that the ruins can be explored at a later date - [successful]

SECONDARY OBJECTIVE:

Name the site - [successful]

MISSION REPORT:

For assigned stations on this mission we had Apprentice Syndathik piloting, Apprentice Viasma on comms and sensors, Apprentice Vipion on the geological surveyor, and Apprentice Zotam as a floating crewmember.

We descended to the ocean floor as planned, sensors picking up nothing but nominal aquatic life at a distance, and began to head for the ruins, but after not long we were hailed by another submarine that came into sensor range. After a short discussion between their captain and Apprentice Viasma to the tune of 'let us use your equipment or else' and 'no', they went to board us, placing some sort of docking device on top of our submarine to allow them to enter as they would on the surface.

Apprentice Zotam had Apprentice Syndathik stay in the cockpit and kill the lights while he led point on the rest going to head off the pirates. The pirates tried to begin their assault with a flashbang and smoke grenade, and Apprentice Vipion shut the doors to the entrance compartment to counter this. Apprentice Zotam blinded them with flash before the doors opened again, and dismembered and captured their leader, first bringing him to the cockpit to call his crew off so we weren't shot on our escape, then stuffing him into a crate at the back of the sub for safe storage, while Apprentices Viasma and Vipion dealt with the other five.

Concurrently a dark sided presence had begun to approach us, later revealing itself to be a massive leviathan of some sorts. The sensors could not identify it as anything, and it was perhaps quadruple the size of our sub at least. Apprentice Zotam suggested searching for a remote sealing control for the entrance hatch and after finding and using it Apprentice Syndathik opted to break the sub free of the docking device the manual way. The pirates's sub was soon eaten. By the time they vanished from our sensors we were already some distance away with lights still out, and the leviathan did not follow us in, but did remain close to the point we had left for the remainder of the duration of it being in range.

We took a slow trawl past the ruins, Apprentice Zotam ensuring the geological surveyor was set to the highest detail scans for it, and had time to gather the data we needed. We were nudged by some sharks, but no more genuine threats appeared. Once we had the scans, we took another route away from the ruins and did not turn the lighting back on until we were far from the leviathan, allowing us an uneventful journey back to the surface.

The ruins themselves were named by Apprentice Vipion, dubbed "The Isle of Fire Ruins."

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
