Public Call for Operation Team Assembly

*The image of a dark-haired pureblood woman flickers into view over the holo, blue hues doing little to lessen the unwavering stare presented to whomever was looking at the message. Her visage is but a calm face, with little else to be read from it. Her attire is expectedly maintained in dark colors, favoring lighter armoring though the tactical placing of armored plating and thicker armor weaves speaks of considerations. For observant eyes, her belt holds what appears to be anything from a medical kit to vials tucked on the hip opposite her lightsaber.*

"One of serveral bread baskets of our Empire, Nez Peron has stood the test of time and remains a core contributor to our armies being kept fed. For the Horuset powerbase it holds the location of Atrum Logistics, which provides not only rations but medical supplies. With kolto supplies dwindling and capture of it sparse, Bacta production has become a viable alternative to help curve demands within our medical bays".

"Between Lord Vipion and myself the powerbase holds the means of producing it, yet to meet demands one must scale up".

"Nez Peron's farmlands and local communities has been grateful and coorperative with Atrum Logistics, providing them work when Zakuul took it away and training their sons and daughters to serve in our military proudly. A section of farmland has been resistant to recruitment efforts however, and thus your mission is to uncover the reasoning behind their refusal, as the lands they live on are needed to exspand current bacta farms".

"Nez Peron provides House Horuset and the empire with a continued supply of soldiers thanks to present PR and recruitment campaigns - an entire community going dark would dampen such efforts, thus their compliance is a priority above enslavement".

"Whenever you approach in disguises, imperial uniforms or in full force shall be up to the team".

Operation: Bacta Expansion

Operation Team:

Apprentice Tenacitious (2IC)
Acolyte Sutmua Ronith
Sergeant 'Honour,' Kienix - Beast Handler (Mission Lead per Apprentice Tenacitious' approval)
Specialist Codri - Marksman

Objectives:

Primary - Aurek; Infiltrate the community without causing alarm or wide-spread violence - COMPLETE
Primary - Besh; Identify the source(s) of their reasons for declining invitations to re-locate or cooperate with the local garrison at Nez Peron - COMPLETE

Secondary - Aurek; Obtain potential blackmail or information that can be used to none-violently force an agreement - COMPLETE
Secondary - Besh; Locate any particularly Imperial-supportive locals in the community - COMPLETE

Priority Information:

The cause for the non-compliance and radio silence was the Thalline's suffering from the horrors of war, the father more so. He was struggling and received no support, thus leading him to blame the Empire for a son's death and another's gnarly injuries. We used this information to our advantage.

Community Leader, Zarann Thalline, stepped down from his position after re-connecting the community with the garrison and thus, the wider world. He, and his son, have been put forward to therapists.

Paul Hanes, after discussing with his family, is open to taking up the mantle of community lead.

Force-sensitive child discovered and collected.

Mission Report:

Landing upon Nez Peron, we were greeted by a Corporal Zarenar, if I spelt the soldier's name correctly. He'd introduce us to the ongoing situation at large, stating names among other things that we already knew before landing. The names the Corporal stated are: Ka'ena, Beal Thalline and Paul Hanes. Beal Thalline and Paul Hanes being the two key figures in the trio mentioned. Paul Hanes would be a veteran of the Empire, among several others that happen to reside in the community. Beal Thalline would be the son of what the locals referred to as "The Old Man."  Ka'ena would be unimportant in the wider picture, just a simple alien vendor that travels around.

The Corporal also mentioned that he was the head of the garrison. Understandably, I was a little confused. I asked for his CO and he mentioned a Sergeant Gollix. Which...isn't what I was expecting as an answer but we got on with the mission nonetheless. Since we had three POI's (Person Of Interest) I suggested we split it up in the hopes of garnering information faster and covering a wider area. Specialist Codri decided to stay aboard the shuttle, keeping it secured and ready to move in the events of things going south. Apprentice Tenacitious, under the guise of a Doctor, would approach the alien vendor, the Acolyte seemingly tagging along with him as I ventured on my own path to locate this Paul Hanes.

The Apprentice purchased an old rifle, a rifle from the days of the Corellia campaigns. The vendor stated to him that the rifle he hold belonged to "The Old Man." It was remarkably well kept and maintained, it was a wonder why he even sold it to the vendor in the first place. The answer would be revealed to us later on. Now approaching a building, I could spot the Acolyte interacting with some children but nothing came from it. As I stopped outside a home, I was met by a man standing like he was on guard duty. He asked me if I was, and I quote "Looking for Paul?" end quote. Leaving my definitive answer up in the air, I was surprisingly allowed access to the property.

Upon asking the man on if he lets just about anyone enter the home he replied with the mention of his brother, Paul Hanes, and how he'll let anyone in if they're Imperial. Somewhat satisfied with his answer, I make my entry. There'd be a strong smell in the air, so strong in fact that I could smell it even under the helmet. Seeing as the place seemed very friendly to Imperial personnel, I decided to make my presence known in an upmost friendly manner. I was greeted by the sight of a family, two children, a woman and a man. All of whom would be Human and Imperial by the look of them. This family was particularly friendly, offering me food and drink. I declined, getting on with the mission.

Upon speaking with Paul, he mentioned he was a veteran. However, more importantly, he was a veteran from the campaign on Anx Minor. We'd enter a small side-room, not wanting to have his children listen in. I'd ask him about the situation in the community and if he, an veteran of the Empire, was getting treated properly - a little trick to try and get him to speak up about any wrong-doings he might of suffered. He mentioned of an illness going around and a Doctor by the name of Rane Jenho who ignored said illness. This raised my suspicion of poison being used to keep the community weak, to stop them from trying to forcefully re-join us.

Paul also mentioned how the communities' silence and there defiance started when only one of the Old Man's son returned home, Beal Thalline. He also mentioned the name of this "Old Man," Zarann Thalline. With this information, I would go to make my leave. However, before I do, I asked Paul on if he wishes to be the communities' lead. Paul stated he'd "discuss it with his family." We can confirm he is open to doing such. I say my goodbyes, respect to another soldier, before reporting the information to the operation team. After some discussing on what our next moves shall be, we decide on finding the Thallines.

Apprentice Tenacitious led the way, the Acolyte and I in pursuit of him. Eventually, we arrived to a home that was "isolated" from the rest of the community. The Apprentice knocks upon the door, no answer. He knock again, this time louder and harder, an answer finally comes. The door would open, revealing the sight of an older man with the Empire's symbol tattooed upon his shoulder. However, it was faint, possibly attempted removal or attempts to hide it? The Apprentice managed to convince the man to let us inside. He'd lead us to a room where he explained the cause of all this non-compliance.

His sons were on Anx Minor, stationed at Rennar to be exact. One of his sons, Cal Thalline, was killed during the destruction of Rennar. Beal was heavily injured, losing limbs and an eye. He was more droid than man. He blamed the Empire for what happened to his sons, for their suffering. It took some convincing, combined efforts from both myself and the Apprentice, before he finally saw reason and agreed. By this time, we saw what his son had became. We understood why Zerann felt the way he did, purely fatherly love for his sons and he couldn't think straight. For this, we went easy on him.

We offered the Empire's assistance, therapists for both himself and his son, to get their lives back on track as squabbling away and suffering alone would only lead to worse fates. We also demanded that, for the betterment of his son and all of the other fathers and sons in the community, that he steps down. He agreed. After re-connecting the community with the Imperial garrison, later the wider world, he'd step down and seek the support we promised. We make our leave. However, the Sith sensed something. I still have little clue on what it was but I followed on. Apprentice Tenacitious led us to a home on the other side of the community. He seemed urgent, full of purpose. In fact, the man sprinted over there.

After securing the perimeter of the building, I held on the back and awaited the arrival of a squad of soldiers from the local garrison per the Apprentice's request. Details on what occurred inside are only known to the Apprentice but what's important is what is written down. This Doctor, Doctor Rane Jenho, was investigating an "illness" that a child had. The child turned out to be force-sensitive. The Imperial squad detained the Doctor, taking him for questioning on if he was hiding the child's force sensitivity or if there was an actual illness plaguing the community. Eventually, the Apprentice brought the child onboard and we headed back.

With regards to what happened with the child, my only assumption is that they were taken to Korriban to begin their new life as a Sith. Apprentice Tenacitious would have the definitive answer on that topic. With regards to the Doctor, they were freed after extensive questioning.

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
