This is an example of a training course which NCOs and instructors will utilise as an introduction and checklist to ensure all soldiers recieve similar quality of training and all speak the same language. The rule of all of our training should be adhered to what will be taught in an instructor course, which mean that it will begin with an active theoretic part to ensure everyone understands what we're to do, followed by a practical part where we test and evaluate the soldier. If the course is too long or heavy in theory, the course can be split into different parts but must be specified if it's a theoretic or practical course.
Estimated time: 1-3h
Scenario Orders: Engage
Educational Checklist:
Bonus points: Observe if the soldier knows when to retreat.
Additional information about the checklist:
We Engage: When the soldier identify an enemy before they themselves have been spotted. The orders are engage, the soldier is to neutralize the enemy quick an accurate shot, taking their time.
Duel: Our soldier and the enemy see each other at the same time. The soldier is to quickly get their barrel in the enemies direction and fire off two supressive shots to quickly gain fire superiority.
Enemy Engage: The soldier is engaged upon by an enemy and is to quickly seek cover, find out the enemies position and either try to achieve fire superiority by displacing a short of long distance, or to retreat.
Call out targets: The soldier is to call out targets as specific as they can, examples. During a preset, gesture for a contact with their weapon. Any other situation yell out "Straight ahead, one rifleman", "Left of big boulder, grenade launcher". The soldier should always have opened fire before calling out targets when it's loud.
Call out neutralized targets: As this is always after a loud firefight, the soldier should always yell for example, "Rifleman ahead neutralized", "Target left of big boulder killed". The soldier should never let their guard down with neutralized targets.
Utilise cover: The soldier is to always fire first, find the best cover later. If the best cover is to go prone, we expect the soldier to go prone before moving again.
Understanding fire superiority: We want the soldier to understand that their best defense is their rifle fire. By neutralising the enemy or supressing them to the point they can't fight back is the safest situation for any infantryman.
Completed courses should be logged on the soldiers service history.
