Mission Report: Constructive diplomacy on Ruunia, by Specialist Nachemi

Report intended for apprentice Teran Mal, left open to be viewed if needed.

Completed assignment to negotiate with construction and engineering crew based on Ruunia. Details of the events taken place and details of the terms agreed to on-site are as follows:

I, Army Specialist Nachemi, arrived on Ruunia with acolyte Ida Velaris and apprentice Orgkez. We had spent the first several moments of our time after leaving the shuttle discussing our plan for negotiating with the work crew and their overseers.
We traveled from the spaceport to the site operated by the joint construction-and-engineering crew we had been sent to recruit. Upon entering, we would find the crew consisting of several aliens, approximately 11 humans and 3 Ruunians. The leader of the crew, one of the aliens, matching the description of a Houk to be precise, initially turned down our offers. He had insisted that while their company was not getting work at the moment, they'd have business further down the line with wartime on the rise.

I had opted to present myself as someone who they could confide in more easily, being non-Sith and a Mirialan myself, and offer them a practical solution to their issues concerning work and resources. Acolyte Ida Velaris also chose to have them draw sympathy to each other, for the financial difficulties of their company had made it difficult to maintain their livelihoods.
This two-pronged persuasion tactic worked efficiently, and their leader had been quick to agree to our offer so long as we would honor their terms, and are as follows:

1. They shall only work with the finest of tools in order to create the finest of products.
2. They may accept being personally disrespected, but respect must be shown to their creations and craft.
3. They will be offered breaks, during which they can participate in social games. I decided to add the caveat that they should disturb no one else while doing so.
4. They would be paid wages for their work.

Accepting this, we informed them of the meeting location to meet with their new supervisors and had disembarked shortly after.

Additional Notes:

Ida Velaris had made a possible contact within the construction crew for further communication at another date.
One of the Ruunians described several landmarks on their planet in great, exhaustive detail. I elected to exclude this from the report, but they'll be in the attached notes. I don't recommend reading them.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
