The Arrival at the Estate
Static buzz preluded the flickering of an holo-image coming to life. As the image stabilizes and the buzzing ceases to exist, the image becomes more clear, depicting a humanoid figure with a youthful yet disciplined look about them, combed hair, trimmed beard and a neatly ironed casual uniform, the signs of a pure imperial soldier. They proceeded to assume a strict stance, hands locked behind the small of their back before they faced directly into the recorder and began speaking with a tone that was equally strict and stiff without leaning towards hostileness nor aggressiveness.
"It is officially Day 1 that I have been transferred to the Imperial Forces within the Horuset Powerbase control. The shuttle trip was short from the thick of Kaas City to the Mountains where House Horuset's Headquarters rise triumphantly. It fell onto Corporal Haldeen to give me a quick tour around the immense Estate and fill me in the duties that expect me, which include patrolling, training and a handful of free time to spend however I see fit, such as I am doing now.
The man seemed capable, specialized in First Aid- a Combat Medic, one that is apparently haunted by the horrors of war. It took only further inquiring onto what exactly occurred in Dubrillion to earn the construction of a war memorial placed within the estate's grounds to bring a potential case of PTSD up. Their mental fortitude seemed to shake as they recounted the countless civilian losses alongside imperial personnel involved within the war. Perhaps their line of work makes it harder to understand and accept losses, although one could comment a professional medical figure would focus on lowering the losses instead of seeking the utopic outcome of preventing all possible losses.
Such is war, after all, a necessary evil.
Regardless, the rest of the shift was uneventful, for today it shall be all. Darrel out."
With that, the holo-image would flicker and buzz before finally dying out.

Training and Patrolling
Static buzz preluded the flickering of an holo-image coming to life. As the image stabilizes and the buzzing ceases to exist, the image becomes more clear, depicting a humanoid figure with a youthful yet disciplined look about them, combed hair, trimmed beard and a neatly ironed casual uniform, the signs of a pure imperial soldier. They proceeded to assume a strict stance, hands locked behind the small of their back before they faced directly into the recorder and began speaking with a tone that was equally strict and stiff without leaning towards hostileness nor aggressiveness.
"It is now Day 3 and not much has occurred worth of notice until today. Training, patrolling until my daily patrol was halted by a certain Sith Apprentice, a Chiss, who called me over. We exchanged some petty talk where he asked about my interests and whether or not I held a family of my own, before sharing he too comes from a Military Tradition as most of his race do. Our chat was then interrupted by an approaching Acolyte which shares Pureblood blood as well in his veins, from what he claimed.
It was in this moment that the Apprentice decided to include me in some blaster-bolt deflecting training, instructing me to shoot at the two of them whist arming the Acolyte with a spare lightsaber of his, a curious choice. Nonetheless I proceeded to take advantage of the situation to train further with my aim whilst using all three fire-modes. They both fared well, with the Apprentice by far surpassing the Acolyte who in the last bolt-wave was caught by a stun round and sent unconscious before a stim brought him back on his feet. Fruitful to some degree, far better than shooting targets though perhaps next time, as the Apprentice invited me for future further training, I shall ask them to consider moving as well to prove a tougher training for me as well.
I also had a little encounter with an Acolyte, the daughter of Lord Kalkoran. A curious figure that seemed to question my intellect perhaps, judging me unable to potentially understand the reasoning behind her choice to meditate nearby the Durmillion War Memorial as it involved the Force. I shall attempt to continue the conversation we were engaging into, perhaps she could be the one worthy of sponsorship, given her ties as well.
This aside, there was also a history lesson within the Estate's Archives held by the Lorekeeper himself, subject 'The Great Hyperspace War'. Big, ancient names were mentioned and discussed, though what mostly caught my interest was hearing the Horuset name finding its roots this far back. Truly an ancient and powerful House as I have heard, it would seem. Nonetheless, I had to cut the lesson short for I found it somewhat out of my element and instead returned to patrolling.
The rest of the shift was uneventful so for today it shall be all. Darrel out."

Sith Politics
Static buzz preluded the flickering of an holo-image coming to life. As the image stabilizes and the buzzing ceases to exist, the image becomes more clear, depicting a humanoid figure with a youthful yet disciplined look about them, combed hair, trimmed beard and a neatly ironed casual uniform, the signs of a pure imperial soldier. They proceeded to assume a strict stance, hands locked behind the small of their back before they faced directly into the recorder and began speaking with a tone that was equally strict and stiff without leaning towards hostileness nor aggressiveness.
"Day 5th. I have continued to practice my aim at the Shooting Range followed by studying both theoretical Explosives and First Aid for the incoming Operation. But this aside, something rather peculiar occurred today just as I was patrolling the Estate. Lord Saltaeon publicly disfigured Sith Zarchas for indirectly bringing harm to her Powerbase in what seemed to be, for what I understood, a feud between him and Lord Saltaeon's apprentice whom apparently is her husband as well.
All in all, it seems that the Sith, who are a vital core to the Empire, are as volatile as always, even within this Powerbase, ready to turn onto one another for their selfish interests as opposed as seeking the best of the Empire. It is almost... a disappointment, but I shan't have this singular event twist my view on all the other Sith that I daily respectfully salute. One bad apples among a whole bunch, perhaps.
Onto more important matters tomorrow shall come my first deployment since I have been assigned to House Horuset as I mentioned moments ago. I shall be joining a group of Sith in the task of clearing a patch of land on Seline, a barren planet near Sernpidal. I have prepared also through some researching and the planet seems hard to colonize given the harsh cold and lack of resources, non mineral ones at least. This further sparked my interest onto finding the purpose behind this Operation and the answer soon came within the Archives. The clear patch of land will serve for the construction of a Slave Processing Facility, seemingly an investment that Sith Zarchas is doing, probably co-founded by the Horuset Powerbase as well.
I wonder how his recent public punishment will influence this potentially fruitful project.
Regardless... the rest of the shift was uneventful with all the busy Sith who have hardly acknowledged my presence still within the Powerbase, so for today it shall be all. Darrel out."

Operation - Silence in the Snow
Static buzz preluded the flickering of an holo-image coming to life. As the image stabilizes and the buzzing ceases to exist, the image becomes more clear, depicting a humanoid figure with a youthful yet disciplined look about them, combed hair, trimmed beard and a neatly ironed casual uniform, the signs of a pure imperial soldier. They proceeded to assume a strict stance, hands locked behind the small of their back before they faced directly into the recorder and began speaking with a tone that was equally strict and stiff without leaning towards hostileness nor aggressiveness.
"Day 6th. The time to deploy for the Operation arrived, my first actual mission within House Horuset and in liason with the Sith. I have to say it was... particular. I joined the Chiss I had already met, Apprentice Tenacitious, alongside Overseer Sekker, Apprentice Kaellus and Apprentice Vesk, a mute apparently who communicates solely through signs and Telepathy.
All in all, the mission was successful if not with a few minors setback in the form of local wild-life and damned stranded republic soldiers we made a quick work of, although I feel we have gotten lucky as we had previously alerted the camp and they all awaited for us to approach, weapons at the ready. It was probably thanks to their poor equipment and condition that we managed through with a heads-on assault, since the present Apprentices looked mostly fresh and not overly battle-conditioned, not unlike myself.
Speaking of which, witnessing these Apprentices fight has made me realize the obvious, perhaps, but something one probably often forgets. No one is truly born all-mighty and powerful, not even the Sith. The difference between a Sith Lord and an Apprentice seems abysmal, and even between the Apprentices there are deep power-gaps, considering that one was already equipped with a Lightsaber and the others used still Vibrosword, something a soldier too could be equipped with. This, in a way, encourages me. To learn that the Empire, despite the invaluable weapon that the Sith are, needs troopers like me to handle the job as trained only pushes me to do my best in pursuit of a decorated military career.
Within my family, I have already reached the honor of being assigned to a powerful and important Household. I shall be trying to make the best out of this by studying and perhaps dipping lightly in the intricate and deadly Sith politics, perhaps by first considering an Acolyte to sponsor. I have heard choosing the right one would go a long way once they ascend. Mutual respect, admiration and potential supporting one another, as far as Sith agenda allows for such 'comradery' before I find myself left behind with a severed head.
What matters nonetheless is that the Empire once more won the day, although it troubles me to learn that the Republic managed to be present in Seline, very close to Sernpidal and within our space-domain. My mind cannot stop considering all the possible scenarios of stranded or tactically infiltraded Republic squads on planets not too far from our Capital World either.
I shall share this concern to the right figures when the time will come, until then, Darrel out."

War in the Northern Territories
The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!
|
"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."
((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
