The brink of Heresy – A Sin of Modulation
Introduction
I, The author- Acolyte Tel’kyria Kari’da of the Sith Empire; In service of the Dark Lord presiding over the ancient and esteemed House Horuset would like to begin this essay by proclaiming my undying allegiance to the Dark Lord - To the Empire and to the Sith Order.
Background
“Compromise is weakness,
Weakness is heresy,
Heresy deserves only death.” (1)
The Sith Empire is an existance spanning across millennia having seen a multitude of eras ranging from expansion, golden ages of prosperity and conquest intermingled with glorious victories and bitter defeats. The Empire across the ages of recorded history been constructed and deconstructed into a variety various iterations and philosophical viewpoints - Yet never straying from the rule of the strong (2).
Recorded history tells us of King Adas and his victories and of the Empire as it was constructed during his reign (3).
The legends speak of Hakagram Grauch (4) the final Monarch of the Sith Empire and the last King of the original Sith species and his fall at the arrival of the twelve Dark Exiles headed by Ajunta Pall. These events lead the Sith onto a new path (5). The conquest of Korriban and its surrounding systems by the aptly named, Dark Lords of the Sith and the creation of the Code of the Sith saw the formation of the Sith order and the template for ensuing millennia was grafted into the bedrock of Sith culture.
The introduction of the exiles into Sith culture and the creation new chapter in our history saw another change throughout the Empire.
The usage of Sith Alchemy saw the hybridization of the original Sith species and the genome of humanity causing the erasure of the commonality of the original Sith species and the ascent of a hybrid species commonly attributed the name Sith Purebloods - The ruling caste of the Empire to this day (6).
“The blood of our leaders become increasingly diluted” (1)
As acclaimed by the Dark Lord herself, the purity of the species has seen ever aggravated decline.
Traits that were once commonplace as red skin, black blood, four digits and clearly formed tendrils and bone-protrusions has become extinct or rare, highly coveted hallmarks of purity (6).
The Sith Species as the Sith Empire, across its many iterations has experienced had its fair share of for the various time-period conservative views like propagating the need for isolation. Antagonistic to the convervative isolationist were the progressive expansionists proclaiming the need for conquest through warfare (2).
The arguements and viewpoints of the old are behind the Sith Empire of the modern day - Yet a new era propagate new disputes and new polar-opposite stances. The factions which the Dark Lord describe in the manuscript are the Progressives opposed by the Traditionalists. The common viewpoints shared inbetween the two is that of conquest and the right of the strong. Despite this agreement the latter viewpoint represent the cornerstone of the disagreement and like the factions of old the cornerstone of the disagreement lie between Progression or Conservatism. To promote the alteration and debasement of the Sith Empire in the hands of aliens and other lesser filth or to safe-guard and attempt to maintain the current status quo where the Empire and its ruling caste is comprised of those of Pure lineage and a true realization of what it means to be Sith(1).
Discussion
“The true Sith, Traditionalists of the houses of yore seek to stop this. The blood of Adas has always ran strong in my family, and as a result the drive to protect the Empire that is meant to rule is nearly boundless. My father, grandfather and great-grandfather have all shared the same goal: To prevent the misguided individuals from harnessing more power and influence. Many have flocked to the banner of the sun, and many more true Sith remain out there, in the galaxy, waiting for the next Sith’ari to lead them away from the squalor that is the Empire today.” (1)
The wording of the Dark Lord is bold and the meaning clear, the conservatory is powerful and will stop at nothing to see its purpose realized - The preservation of the Pureblood species and the Empire to remain in it's true form, ruled by the powerful, by the worthy and without the will to compromise.
“The true philosophy of the Sith is always to be centered around the rule of the Pure, for they see that modulation of one's philosophy is in truth, a sin!” (1)
Origin surpasses Strength in value. If this view held widespread support amongst the Sith of the Empire the Dark Councils of millennia past would be compromised of Pureblooded Sith alone, but - Reality does not conform to ideology.
The great hyperspace war that saw the Sith Empire of Marka Ragnos and Naga Sadow obliterated (2) ended with genocides and the near eradication of the Sith Pureblooded as the Republic endevoured to save itself from the gravest threat it had ever encountered. The Pureblood species, preserved in but a few thousands escaped into the darkness of the void on what came to be known as the fleet of exiles (2). The crime against the Empire have not been forgotten, will not - Be forgotten - And will never be forgiven.
A full millennium of breeding amongst the surviving Pureblood Sith have seen a continued decline as the bloodline become further diluted and the Pureblood species numerically superseded by the more numerously and by comparison faster breeding humanity.
“Power is not to be shared with the weak” (1)
A sentiment to be fully embraced by any Sith – Progressive or Traditionalist alike. The strong are meant to rule.
“If you can only rule by the grace of the unworthy, if you have to make compromises to keep them happy, then you are not a ruler at all, but a mere puppet of the masses.” (1)
The tenant by its very core is correct, Sith are creaturs of Absolutes - Unwavering and uncompromising. The Dark Lord declares it with utter certainty with the following statement.
"Heresy deserves only death. (1)
Any form of compromise, opportunism or modulation that makes you stray from the one true believe that the Pureblooded are meant to rule the Empire and thus the galaxy, is heresy. (1)
To question is heresy.
To amend this absolution with a tenant central to any whom would partake in this text.
Through Strength I gain Power.
Through Power I gain Victory.
Through Victory my chains are Broken.
Do not question, do not stray, do not commit the crime of heresy. Can Victory be attained without Power? Is the Powerless fit to lead? The answer is obvious – No.
Do I, the author - Support the increased influx of aliens into the Sith Order?
I do not.
Do I, the author - Revere the Dark Lord for her strength, brilliance and leadership in these trying times of war and political upheaval?
I do.
Am I, the author – Blind to the contradictions inherent in the Empire of the Sith and what it means to the Sith Pureblood and humans of Pureblood descent like myself?
I am not.
I, the author - Sought the Banner of the Sun that is House Horuset.
I do not believe in the sharing of Power.
I believe in maintaining the purity of thought and philosophy within the Sith Order.
The dominant Culture within the Sith Empire must eternally stem from the Sith Order.
The powerful are meant to rule; But who, are the powerful?
The Sith are a Catalyst of motion existing as true apparitions and wielders of Power.
Sith revoke the stagnation and forced tranquility of the Jedi and the veil of civility inherent in the Republic that slowly choke sentient life in the galaxy nearly beyond a point of reparation.
The Empire is war made Manifest – And that manifestation drives the evolution of sentient life throughout the Galaxy. The weak descend into dissolution while the strong drive the war to its zenith. None are left unaffected as we force entire worlds to realign. And as we thrive, our enemies are faced with two choices. Adapt or be destroyed in the face of our might. And in the end, this too serves our Order, for as they evolve, so does our art of war. To be static equals the sin of our enemies and we become unworthy of what it means to be Sith.
That, is what I believe to be the inherent value and core of what it mean to be Sith.
“Everything of significance is the result of conquest.” – Nameless Sith
Claiming a position of Lordship within the Powerbase of House Horuset one must stand ready to defend the claim by superiority in combat and political acumen. The very same tenant exists yet exponentially more vital for one asserting true dominance amongst Sith. Weakness can never be afforded in leadership and there is no virtue in blood alone if lacking the strength to enforce one’s rule and vision.
Are those of Purity powerful in the force? Yes
Do those of Purity represent and adhere to the the Philosophy of the Sith Order? Yes
What lie at the core of this Philosophy?
Eternal rule on the grounds of past achievements of others? No
I believe those of Purity of Blood are fit to rule the Empire and to carry the tenants of the Sith Empire into the distant future.
But -Only- if in possession strength of arms, mind and vision being powerful assert dominance.
To often I have heard stated that Aliens are lesser creatures and must thus be forged in blazing a furnace more lethal than that of a Pureblooded Sith. This line of reasoning is a fallacy and the reason as to why the Progessive mindset is gaining traction. Higher expectations, need be placed upon higher beings. The training of a Sith of Pure lineage should be of such degradation, brutality and cunning lethality that no alien could ever hope to survive. A Sith is forged by his or her enviroment and harsher enviroments create more powerful Sith.
As is stated by the Dark Lord herself!
“Power is not to be shared with the weak” (1)
Continuing this line of thought - To coddle the worthy and expose the alien to the full extent of degradation and cruelty is not merely to share power with the weak - It is to weaken and supplant the worthy.
The right to rule - By Purity of Blood and the Strenght to do so.
A closing statement – The words of the Dark Lord herself.
“Compromise is weakness,
Weakness is heresy,
Heresy deserves only death.” (1)
