introduction
Sith sociaty has a complicated and varied structure build onto era’s of tradition. Sith society is not only reliant on the code to shape its members behavior, next to the code etiquette is something a proper sith takes into mind. Its needed to progress the ranks, survive training and most effectively function within the political structure of the empire as a whole.
These traditions and etiquettes set Sith aside from scum and lower aliens that are not raised to know these rules of social conduct.

Ettiquete for acolytes.
As a acolyte its important to remember then one is nothing in comparison to the Sith around you. You are the dirt under their sole and any attention they spend on you is something that should not be taken lightly or be wasted. This goes even more for lords and especially Darths, this means their time should not be wasted with frivolous questions you may find the answer to if you just open a book.
when coming across apprentices neophytes or Sith its important to bow and address them by “my lord “ in recognition to their higher position over you. If they give you a order and it does not conflict with a order given by someone else of equal or higher rank such order should be done unquestionably. Reasonability does apply here. If a apprentice orders you to destroy a lords property or cause mischief that will inconvenience a Sith or lord or a large group within the powerbase it should be reported to a overseer. In some instances it may be advised to take a apprentice’s punishment over inconveniencing a higher up as it would turn in a word against word matter proof would thus be necessary.
When dealing with lords one should always kneel addressing them as “my lord” do not get back up unless you are allowed to by the lord and follow their orders without question unless these orders contradict those given by a Darth.
When encountering a Darth, the highest respect should be shown. A Darth is a Sith unlike any other who commands authority and respect one should never question a Darths orders and always kneel in the presence of one unless allowed to get up or told otherwise by said Darth. A Darth is to be addressed as “Dark Lord”.

Introducing oneself
When one is in the position to introduce themselves always do so with name and rank. This way the person you are introducing yourself to will know how to properly address you.
If you wish to introduce yourself to a Sith of higher rank while not in conversation with them you can approach them respectfully. Be careful to read que’s on interest of approachability from the sith in question as to not bother them. ( read more on this in the next chapter)
If one shows openness to be approached then do so respectfully. Bow one’s head and bow in case of a apprentice, neophyte or Sith and kneel in the case of a lord or Darth. These latter are impolite to approach to introduce yourself unless they show interest in knowing who you are.

Social que’s
Social que’s are important to make sure you read the situation to properly introduce yourself, time questions and know when not to approach at al. some social que’s are stronger then others.
To recognize someone open to be approached you wish to look for:
1. That they are not in conversation currently
2. Are not highly engaged working
3. Their posture:
- Closed posture like being turned away from you and crossed arms indicate less interest.
- Open posture: arms by the sides or on the hips and being turned towards you indicate more interest.
4. Setting
- Read the setting. Do not approach someone when in a meeting or if they are sparring or meditating for instance. It’s a faux pass to approach someone who clearly has no time for you or is busy with something else more important.
- Social settings like parties and mess halls are settings more open for approach. Its advised that if you wish to approach for a informal matter this is done here. It’s a faux pass through to approach them for questions on study or business related manners in such area’s unless the party for instance is specifically meant to facilitate business.
- Study questions: questions on theory are best suited for area’s like the archives while questions on practical use of the force or forms are more suited for the training areas.
