Sith: Bringing Order from Chaos through the application of Power

Many a misconception shrouds the ways of the Dark Side of the Force. Though none as misguided as those propagated by the Jedi overlords of the core worlds of the Republic. There, the Dark Side, with its infinite subtleties, is reduced to a farce for political gain. Regarded through the lens of the simpleton, inept cravens preach to infantilized followers that the evil of the Dark Side is great and self-evident. True is the fact, through the application of the Dark Side, untold masses have suffered. But is this different from any other force of nature or perceived power?

All creatures feared Fire at one evolutionary stage or another, and all ascendant sentients conquered it. Through knowledge, the primitives turned a seemingly mystical agent of destruction into the driving force of civilizations. The eyes of higher beings opened to a new reality. Power no longer needed to be feared when it was understood.

The Jedi Order, incapable of truly embracing power, draw the correlation between the Dark Side of the force and the suffering of the insignificant and conclude therefore that it is immoral, unethical - Evil. This view is embraced and actively enforced by the Jedi order and the subjugated pawns of the Republic. Early Force Wielders understood that when allied to the Dark Side, a single individual could remake the Galaxy. A frightening prospect for all too weak to claim its promise for themselves. Such an individual, they reasoned correctly, would be beyond the control of any cabal, even the Jedi Order itself.

This was Proven in the fact that the Jedi have not only gone so far as to ban the practice but have actively hunted down and eradicated practitioners of the Dark Side of the force. But annihilation was not enough to soothe their fears. The one time scholarly monks of the Jedi Order became soldiers. Not warriors. That would imply individuality—a path to the Dark Side.

The pawns, the ‘soldiers’ of the Jedi Council obey without question or debate. With such tools and an obediently sycophantic Republic at its heel – The Jedi Order embarked on a relentless quest to indoctrinate every singular being imbued with the Force. Those adhering to the Dark Side, by choice or biological nature, were out of fear, purposefully eradicated. A fate the ancient Sith almost shared whilst battling the Jedi, facing overwhelming odds and despite this, nearly triumphing. Through strength and cunning, the Sith survived, but how many species have fallen to the mass genocides of the Jedi Order - That, we will likely never uncover.

The truth of the Dark side of the Force is far less narrow and dogmatic then the Jedi Order would have the galaxy enthralled to believe. Suffering, destruction, and wanton bloodshed is not the aim utilising the Dark Side of the force but merely a byproduct of its exercise when the powerful stand challenged. It strengthens those subjected to it through adversity, where fear turns to anger, anger into hatred and hatred into strength. The true nature of the Dark Side of the force is power in crystallized purity. Power that wrest order into existence from chaos itself. Through the exercise of power, the Dark side of the force set a system of consequences into action.

Chaos is inherently the absence of power in the form of a directed, purposeful force. A force which when focused sets a system into motion where multiple facets flows naturally into controlled affect. Within this framework, Power becomes the rational principle that governs high and low alike because only power may see force truly directed. The purposeful rationality, ignorant of the subjective suffering of the insignificant and miniscule does not make power evil nor immoral, through it is created predictability. Through evaluated causality one can estimate the resulting ripple effects and guide subsequent events on the scales from the individual to societal levels.

Once a path is determined, an individual of power and mental acumen can through proactive decision-making mitigate the shrouds of stagnated conformity, thus illuminating the devolutionary darkness of inaction and unrestrained chaos. With stagnation and conformity discarded, a new order emerges where Fear, an effect of the unknown becomes realized as Strength. That is the true fruition of Rule by the Powerful in the Dark Side of the Force – Order stemming from violent, purposeful action.

The Jedi order in its role as moral Overlord of the Republic cowers from this fundamental understanding of the nature of power, and therefore fail to understand the true nature of Force. The Jedi favor a galaxy in a state of disorder, chaos brought by inaction and pacification. What incentive would they have to the contrary? The Republic is a creation cradled and thwarted from progress through the inaction of the Jedi. Fostered into a culture which encourage and idolize the rule of the diverse, embracing the weakness of the masses through Democracy. The Republic can never break the suffocating chains of the Jedi Order.

The Republic, a giant of an entity: Inept, culled and neutered can never compromise a threat of rebellion to the Jedi due to the utter dependence on the order for internal security and moral guidance.

Where the Sith rule through Order and evolutionary progress the Jedi rule through chaos and stagnation in the guise of tolerance, mercy, and the voices of the multitude. The core of evolutionary progress through conflict is that Order is a construct with an origin in Chaos. Order realised through Power - The right of the Strong, makes the concentration of Power in the individual more than a mere means to an end. It is the culmination and personification of the End. A Sith, properly crafted into an instrument of the Dark Side of the Force, embracing an existence in embodiment of the Code of the Side should possess no greater aim than the true accumulation of Power. Existing as a persona on the virtual razors edge between chaos and order, locked in an eternal struggle for survival. From this construction of power, order flows and sentient life progresses in continued evolution. The dominance of the Sith Order over the galaxy is not a question of morality, it is a mortal necessity for the continued survival of sentient life and of civilization itself.

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
