Entry I: Alterations
The holovid device begun its recording. Cause was the finger of the oxblood skinned man whom sat in a corner of a room. The lights were dimmed and so the picture was not of the best quality. Yet it showed the man to have acolyte robes on him and the aureolin eyes focusing their gaze at the lense doing the recording.
”I should begin I suppose.”
The man spoke with a voice of gravelly nature. But it was also brittle; as if the man was afraid, tense and anxious of his surroundings. Reason for such behavior came to be understandable as a high pitched shriek was recorded into the holovid as well. A flinch from the man came as well, he had not yet gotten used to such noises.
”My name is Shokû Atrohmia. First day in the Korriban Academy. I survived. That’s something I suppose.”
He spoke with hushed whispers as if trying to avoid attention. The eyes flickered from the screen to somewhere behind the lens. He was keeping a watchful eye upon the rest of the room or similar.
”Aunt’s teachings, intuition and sheer idea of being invisible worked well enough. I avoided the Overseers and their wrath. Saw at least ten others, acolytes being killed without a second thought. Why? Because they spoke wrong, were wrong, moved wrong or had opinions.”
Shokû gulped audibly enough to be recorded into the holovid. He grasped to the dark floor on the side and produced a book, an actual tome of some sorts with leather covers into his lap. The first page was opened and the camera got a glimpse of symbols etched upon the pages with ink of some sort.
The acolyte searched his robes and took a pen from there and began writing to the page while staying silent for a moment. He halted only when he flinched yet again from another scream of agony from the distance.
”Aunt told me to introspect; to reflect the events of days and actions I’ve taken. To study them with different eyes and find my flaws. And destroy the flaws before anyone else notices them. And most importantly, misdirect others. So that they can’t abuse my status in any way.”
”And so this recording for this. This thing that I noticed the moment I came upon the planet the first time.”
At that moment the red skinned male turned the book around and showed it to the camera. Upon it various symbols were painted in the color of red. The symbols were curved and had etchings on the side, possibly indicating them to be letters. There was some repetition of symbols, a sign of words in a sentence perhaps.
”I have no idea of their meaning. I just wanted to paint them when I had the chance, like something urged me to. Similar feeling that you are yearning or craving for something specific. Yes. Like being tired and wanting to just go into the bed and fall asleep. That kind of feeling.”
”And so I did. I have to figure out what they mean though. And not show these to anyone else. I’ve heard the stories of Sith disliking any indications of heresy. Even such as having different kind of a mind could be classed as heresy.”
”But that is not all. I have this itch to draw, to paint in here. I feel the Force like never before and at the same time I want to draw. How foolish I can be? I doubt many of the others would understand.”
At that moment the Acolyte closed the book and put it away. Same was done to the pen the male had with him. He chuckled nervously at his own words and flinched again as the shriek came from the distance.
Before the holovid was cut off, Shokû had his facial features alter. The tense, nervous and otherwise fearful boy was gone and in its place was a calm, collected and otherwise expressionless man. The eyes suddenly had more intensity into them. They burned with determination. And that last second before the feed was cut, it could be seen that he licked his lips like a predator preparing for a feast of a lifetime.

Entry II: New path
The holodevice activated for the second time to record the personal journal of the one Shokû Atrohmia. It ran through the usual diagnostics before the projection of the man came into view. He had some noticeable differences already since the last time.
The boy of barely adult age was bit more fearful, more tense and anxious than ever before. Once again he had huddled himself into a corner of a room somewhere in the academy, but this time it did not even closely resemble the acolyte quarters.
”I. I have survived this long. That’s the biggest thought running through my head almost all the time. Survival. Its the only thing that keeps me alive. Its been almost three weeks since I entered the Academy. And it has been more torture than anything.”
The boy gulped down after coming down with the confession of a lifetime regarding the state he was in psychological standpoint. But strangely enough, even if he was at the verge of spilling the glass and going into total hysteria, his eyes had intensive burn into them and were actually dead on calm. Too calm to be exact.
”The training has been cruel. I was in the middle of the pack from the get go. There are dozens that are better than me, and there were dozens that were worse than me. But there are not many any more that are worse than me.”
”They say that person never knows when their time comes. That seems a lie as I doubt I can survive longer than several days in here.”
The acolyte reached besides himself and brought the book he had shown the last time and opened it several pages further than before. The pen was brought and so the acolyte wielded it as his tool for calming down a moment during the silent sobs from his part.
”I’ve failed more often than not regarding the Force. Many of the acolytes can already summon shocks, move things with telekinesis, conjure shields and even hide themselves from the Force. They get all the praise. I hardly can do anything flimsy that could represent the same as their achievements.”
”But I’ve not been without successes apparently. The progress I’ve made have been enough to keep me from dying but as said, it might not be enough. Only two things I’ve received praise thus far and one of them is the physical training and Shii-cho practices. Guess my aunt’s teachings have come in handy.”
Shokû made a pause and sighed as he focused upon the book’s contents furthermore. The scribbling with the pen continued until there was hushed words of authoritative nature coming and being caught by the recording. Even the acolyte froze until they passed harmlessly.
Then the acolyte turned the page the other way for the device’s lens to see. This time the page was everything but empty. Notes, diagrams, commentary, equations and all sorts of numbers, symbols and letters raced across the two pages presented.
”The other thing I’ve gotten praise for is my memory and theoretical knowledge. It seems that what I lack in practice, I’ve gained in theory part. The concepts are easy, the history is easy, the philosophy is… easy.”
The boy made a pause in between commentary regarding the philosophy. The features upon his face and those gleaming eyes turned a bit hesistant. As if he had made a mistake. But he did not turn the device of as he continued

”Easy if you realize that you are supposed to repeat whatever you are taught instead of producing your own views that is.”
The boy whispered to correct himself. The recording almost failed to catch the noise the boy made as he attempted to keep himself from speaking even close to being heard by anyone that happened come by. With the nature of the words it was understandable why the boy did not want to be noticed.
He turned the page of the book backwards to the previous opening. The items upon the paper were not that different from the earlier show if not for the odd picture of his own making here and there. They were artistic, highly so, even if done bit of fast manner. But the visual aid definitely made it clear that there were some rudimentary Shii-cho maneuvers described on the pages.
But what potentially caught anyone’s eye was the another set of weird symbols in sentence like form at the bottom of the left page. Different from previous but equally out of place along with the aurabesh and Sith writing otherwise.
”These have appeared once again on multiple occasions. Every time I grasp at the Force, they appear into my vision. I have made subtle, indirect inquiries and other acolytes have nothing similar. Nor the Overseers describe anything of such. But one of them noted that it is not unknown for the planet to affect those that are receptive.”
The boy gulped again as if he had said something horrendous or inappropriate. And when one thought of it, it was quite so. No one really wished to be extremely attuned to the Holy World of the Sith too well. The Sith knew very well that dark side was to be controlled rather than given control to.
”They are different from last time, but share some similar symbols. Perhaps I can decode them in time. One curiosity of them is that I do not recall them being written. They just appear in my book and written on my handwriting, but I do not remember ever doing that.”
”But that is of no relevance now. First I need to survive until the death does not loom over myself. This might be my last recording so… goodbye if it is. May the darkness guide me.”
The Acolyte moved to close the device once again and thus pronounced his features for the camera for the passing second. Where there had been hysteria and sobs of a man ready to give up and die the shameful way, there was none now. Utter calmness has taken their place instead. And then the screen went dark and moment after the device turned off.

War in the Northern Territories
The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!
|
"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."
((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
