Character Dossier - Gabriel Locke

#1
(WIP)

Name:  Gabriel Locke
Age:  23
Classification:  Imperial Army Trooper
Rank:  Private
Species:  Human Cyborg (Reluctant)

Background:  Gabriel Locke was born on Balmorra to an Imperial Army Captain and his local born mistress, looked down on by both Balmorrans and Imperials, Locke was used to being the black sheep of a group, and in order to prove that his loyalty was to the Empire, Locke signed on for the Imperial Academy at the earliest opportunity, using his father’s name to gain entry despite his Balmorran roots.

Throughout the training at the Academy, Locke was still subjected to the same distrust and mild hatred that haunted him throughout his childhood.  His faith in his comrades remained at an all time low, often during the training missions the drill sergeants singled him out, or his comrades left him behind, and he officially clocked more time in the med bay for training injuries that almost any other cadet in his class.

Despite this, he produced slightly above accurate average scores in most areas of training, and during his final test, he suffered severe injuries to his face and upper chest while trying to save a fellow cadet from a malfunctioning combat training droid.  The droid’s destruction cost Locke his organic eyes, right lung and resulted in many prosthetic devices implanted throughout his upper body, and replacing his eyes with the very basic of cybernetic eyes to provide simple eye sight.  It would be another two years before he was comfortable enough with the replacements to perform to the standards he did before, although he is constantly pained with headaches and what the medical staff called “phantom pains”, he reapplied for the Academy with the replacement parts implanted throughout his body.

What stunned his drill sergeants, expecting him to perform worse than before, he appeared to have increased his accuracy with long and medium range, firing slower than others but with far higher hit rates at varying distances, along with this he also became proficient at close quarter combat, never quite matching the experienced drill sergeants, but performing to such an extent that many grudgingly gave him praise.  Although it pleased him to finally have the recognition of his fellows, he rarely showed the emotion on his  face, the nerves throughout his face were as damaged as his eyes, and had not been deemed important enough to repair or replace.

During his passing out parade, Locke was quizzed by his training company commander as to how he became so proficient with certain aspects.  His answer was simple.  “What else is a soldier to do when waiting to heal?  Train,”

Skills Above Average:  Ranged, Blaster Rifles/Pistols, CQB.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
