Seething: What Is It?
To put it in simplest terms, Seething is the most basic art of utilizing one's emotions for focus and drive. Some misclassify it as allowing one to keep fighting, or "healing" their stamina in the middle of a fight, but Seething is neither of these. It is simply an extra edge, the most basic inherent ability of the Dark Side. Each Acolyte should already know of this, and be able to utilize it to gain a small advantage over normal foes.
The Process
When you have emotions of anger, rage, pain... you may utilize these to Seethe, drawing on the emotions within. So, too, can you draw from another's pain. By centering your emotions, putting them at the forefront of your mind to stew in them, you bring your mind into almost a euphoric state. Contrast this with bloodlust, which is only focus on murder and carnage. In this state of euphoria, charged by emotions, you can focus better in the fight, the excitement driving you on further to continue. You cannot build on this, however, because once you are out of energy, you are out. This merely increases efficiency.
Other Uses
When utilized during training, or meditating in an area with a Dark Side aura, it allows you to keep your focus on the former and to sense your surrounds better in the latter. The practice of cultivating emotions builds into much more, especially into Shock, which utilizes the same anger and pain to shape the energy from your form out through your fingertips. One can attribute many of the rushes and intense feelings they get from using the Dark Side to the very beginning, their first Seethings.
Conclusion
While it is well-known to be a fairly simple thing to do, Seething is an art which is easy to understand, and also easy to miss. It is not always a thing that is taught, and while it does not take long to do so, it can be proven to be essential to guiding Acolytes towards a proper path, giving them little tastes of power and a small stepping stone towards their learning of actual powers. One will not be graded on how well they can Seethe, but only if they can.
