File: Sith Code and Philosophy.
//File Display:

*This file , has been located in the archives within Th'asidra's grand library. It is a mere interpretation of the Sith Code and the Sith Philosophy in generality. This File is available to anyone seeking knowledge to this sector. This file has been assigned by Apprentice Zhephra Aeros. This File only contains -true- facts about the Sith Code, Appropriate to that of the Acolyte Tier, as well as a personal point of view at the very end, using words or names that perhaps describe of how a true sith sees the code through, taking under consideration that every being "translates" the code differently.*

"The Code of the Sith is the mantra that reinforces the core believes of the Sith Order. It was first authored on the planet Korriban in 6900 BBY. The Sith Code has remained remarkably unchanged throughout history and time. The Code was written by Sorzus Syn and still lives on through this day, forging and teaching those who are dimmed worthy the meaning and philosophy behind the code. the Sith Lord Darth Bane still taught the words of Sorzus Syn when he began rebuilding the Sith Order around 1000 BBY, After a major conflict."

*THE CODE:*

"Peace is a lie, there is only passion.

Through passion, I gain strength.

Through strength, I gain power.

Through power, I gain victory.

Through victory, my chains are broken.

The Force shall free me."

HISTORY:
*The Sith Code was created so as to point to the "failings" of the Jedi Code, and it was meant to become a unifying mantra for the followers of the newly created Sith Empire. The Writer of the code Sorzus Syn had been impressed by the lifestyle of the Sith Purebloods, who would take all what they needed, kill the rest, and use everything to its fullest. Inspired by their example of brutal impulsiveness, Syn decided to write the code based on their philosophy and ways, including wisdom of her fair shares. The code is was based on passion and the channeling of rage through anger. Whilst the blinded Order of the jedi only encouraged acceptance of one's limitations and passivity.*

ANALYSIS OF THE SITH CODE:
Peace is a lie, there is only passion:

"The "peace" of the Jedi, meaning the lack of conflict, was an agent of stagnation. Conflict, however, is seen as the source of progress for both the single beings and the civilizations. The necessity of conflict is a law of the universe and not just a Sith thinking. Fundamentally, the Code of the Sith expresses our rejection of selflessness and our full embrace of passion and lust. Although some individuals turn to the dark side out of a philosophical ideal or even wishing to wield its violent powers for altruistic purposes. Regardless it is a very well known fact throughout the galaxy that the dark side  can be a pathway to skills, some consider to be unnatural..Conflict is necessary.."

Through passion, I gain strength:
" It is simple, we see ourselves as seekers, challengers of old and stagnant ways, in touch with the laws of nature and the universe. The Jedi are denying their natures and are afraid of the truth around them. Passion is what keeps all creatures, from the most rudimentary to the most evolved sentient, alive. As a wise figure once stated:"To think us creatures beyond the need of simple passions is a delusion." mastery of our passions gives us strength the Jedi just lack."

Through Strength, I gain power:
"Without strife, the victory has no meaning. Without strife, one does not advance. Without strife, there is only stagnation. A true sith always struggles for knowledge, for power. Although there are different ways to reach the amount of power desired, there can -never- be a limit to it. A true sith always strives for more, there's not such a thing as enough. Weakness is not something that shall be tolerated, it shall be used, crushed, destroyed, hence beings expressing such, are simply not sith. By Learning more we become stronger, and by becoming stronger we gain more and more power, at all different points of view really."

Through Power, I gain Victory:
"Victory is not desirable. But unless victory proves your superiority, it is but an illusion and temporary. There might be different types of victories: peaceful victory, victory by sacrifice, even a truce, the Sith dogma teaches us that unless the victory is achieved by demonstrating that one's power is superior, it is not true victory. The Stronger a sith becomes , the more knowledge he acquires, the more he seeks to further his training and teachings, Sith always search and strife to fight for power."

Through victory, my chains are broken:
"The chains represent a being's restrictions; not just a Sith but any being in the universe. The restrictions could be those placed upon a being by someone else, or restrictions that one placed upon oneself. The ultimate goal of any Sith should be to free themselves from such restrictions, but not in the simplistic meaning of just being able to do whatever you want, that's pathetic. A true sith desires to free themselves in order to reach perfection and fulfill their potential. To be perfectly clear, whatsoever the true meaning of the line "…my chains are broken" is a subject of argument among many Sith, perhaps even today, this is, whatsoever my philosophical view coming to this line.."

The Force shall free me:
"True Sith believe that those who strife for perfection through knowledge and mastery of the Force will be rewarded. That they strife for a greater purpose and at once get rid of their restrictions. normally placed upon individuals, considered weak, by the society and other organizations, including their own families too. As acolytes we are bound. We are chained, and we are owned. We, ourselves strife to prove we are more than just that. Beginning from the lowest ranks and places we rise up and free ourselves."

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
