Mission Report: Adrephus

#1
Mission Participants

Apprentice Hozan,
Apprentice Mal

Objectives

Quiet the rebellion on Adrephus,
Reclaim the planet for the Empire.

Mission Report

This was carried out in a number of deployments.

The first landed us in a small village on the planet, where there had been whispers of dissent amongst residents. We spoke with them, convincing them that, should they be loyal Imperial citizens, we would not harm them. They grew to trust us, except for the large ex- Republic soldier who shot me in the chest. Eventually he was restrained and dealt with by the authorities in charge. We aided the residents in their financial matters, and their distrust in the Empire was quieted.

The second, we were placed near a small base on the planet. Here, we found many Republic supporters. We took a stealth approach, taking out pairs of guards on watch between us, before we made it to the entrance. At this point, there was a pair of Republic Troopers, who we incapacitated. There were a handful of unconscious rebels as Mal and I searched the bodies and interrogated those alive for information, but found the Trooper I had killed was the only one who knew anything useful. However, we did recover their plans, allowing us to maintain an idea of where the rebels intended to strike. I remained on this base once it was secured, to ensure I was on hand to fight should the Governor need us. The governor executed the rebels that remained, leaving the base as a safe spot for me to camp out. A handful of rebels escaped with provisions, but these only lasted them until our final deployment.

Finally, the planet's power plant was down, and myself and Mal were placed to find the source of the problem and get the power back on. As we approached the power plant, an alarm began blaring and a sniper shot at Mal. We found cover, and decided that splitting up would be wise. Apprentice Mal took the main route, and I took the flank, which allowed us to take the enemy out as we went. When I returned to Mal, a sniper was about to shoot him at point-blank range, so I put a lightsaber through the sniper's chest, and we continued in relative quiet. We conserved our energy, as Mal sensed potential Jedi up ahead. As we approached, four blue lightsaber blades were visible, belonging to two Jedi. I took on the Jedi with a double-bladed saber, and Mal the one with two sabers. The fight dragged on until both Mal and I overpowered the Jedi. I do not know how Mal became injured, as I was focused on taking down my opponent, but I knew he was badly injured. At such a point, I killed the Jedi he had beneath him. I then knocked out the remaining Jedi to take back as a prisoner, and called for a medevac. We restored the power, and found an Imperial soldier dying, with his gun pointed at me. I left him for dead. As it turns out, he was the mole who shut off the power and killed multiple Imperial soldiers.

The pair of Jedi turned out to be the Padawans of a deceased Jedi Knight, the only survivors of their crash. They had been rallying the residents of Adephus, and their defeat is the Empire's victory.

The rebellion on Adrephus has been well and truly quashed.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
