OCC note: Below you will find the alchemy projects of Sith Sarias. This first post will serve as the place for her first project, where in experiment logs, journals and updates on the project will be made. What you see here is personal files and logs, thus this is mainly for OCC viewing for those who might be interested in alchemy. To gain access ic'ly, one will have to go through Sarias herself.

Outline and Purpose

One's studies in alchemy can meet many challenges that few outside the field shall even have thought for, yet there is one concept any sith, or those fighting to be, will know: To establish oneself. By overcoming feats of grand scales or to see one's enemies drawn out and dealt with via brilliant tactic - to make one's lasting mark upon their legacy. It is due time I make my own - to craft it by hands no matter what...never waver, never relent.

The steps to seeing this creation into being shall be simple in prospect, yet may cause me more pain than I have felt in a long time. To enforce Tyûk into the very cells of the Fungi, and transfer its paralytic properties to the natural release of spores, making a powerful paralytic gas of spores with, hopefully, reduced cost as it will but require the growth and harvest.

2. 1. Using a small amount of sterilized liquid, find the ratio at which the spores can survive the poison. Once found, narrow in on the breakdown cycle of material and find the breakpoint.
      
   2. Once the point is found, isolate the particular molecules for the process.
      
   3. With the process understood, the spores will gradually be forced and shifted until they can accept the poison without dying. From there, testing will continue with varying conditions until viable, living spores are acquired.
      
   4. When a live specimen of stable health is produced, observe if it holds the properties of the poison as desired. Should it not, harvest spores to ensure the next generation of the mutated fungi. Alterations, and possible further addition of the poison, will be made until desired potency is acquired.

Step 3 - Two means of seizing viable results have been concluded. To modify the thickness of the spore's cell wall to accept just enough of the poison without reducing efficiency too much. The secondary accepts a reduction in poison potency for the sake of breeding stable specimens of fungi - a foundation of which to build upon.Step 3 Experiment

*Wrapped in comfortable clothes she sits, the flickers of a fire contained within a display crafts a background of a more casual setting - far from humming machines and sterile air. In her arms a small figure, small limb occasionally poking or kicking out of its mass of blankets*.I have faced impatience many times in the past, yet to feel the very twitches of it in my fingers...it has been quite long. Such is the danger of possessing the means to bend the very fabric of what is to one's will - a desire to just take your power and have it be done swiftly. Such is surely a death, if not for you, then for the progress as one's rage in such impatience can have vital details missed and detail overlooked. The means of slowing down the reaction time was archived through patience, and so is the intent of the next step, to see the process in this 'breakpoint' identified and mapped as it eats through the fungi spore. Recordings, logged manned and unmanned observing can only get me so far however - the actual isolation must be done by hand alone if I am to see result before Yallanda and Zarkang turns a year old...yet, for them and Trakaton, neither can I rush this blindly. The expression he would carry should I collapse again-..*The small girl begins to shift around in the shaking hold, forcing a break of focus for the young mother to look into the infant's face, kissing it gently as the room fell quiet again - recording cutting off with a voice command*.

Outline and Purpose
For long did I think her just a mutation of nature, meant to live and maybe survive long enough that I would hold the time to study her. At least the corpse would provide a good specimen for how the dark side can corrupt and mutate flesh over generations...She has been a companion for much now, yet her survival is due to my work and efforts. She is my subject, and she is to be my creation. Nature willed her to die, but she will be the instrument I shall use to defy that fate

Spoiler: Strengthening of Back Tendrils

Current state: Initial Studies Underway (Study of the sensory organ (this includes increased intensity in animal bond training to account for close proximity to study subject).
Materials:1 Asharl Panther (male, full grown) - main focus is its sensory organ.
Purpose: Study of the sensory organ to implement the features to the weak tendrils on Pragzia's back. Main goal is to see them lengthened and made strong enough for reliable use offensively given the poison glands on the back and up along the tendrils themselves.

The simpler needs of a body is also its greatest weakness
Outline and Purpose
Mundane of nature compared to much, its none the less a resource I kept about for the sake of this project. A simple seed gifted by a now absent Lord, grown in quiet with just enough specimens kept to ensure the next growth cycle. Not a crop of miracles but one with potential, the properties will be expanded on along with a focus on greater yield. Even if the leaves are thickened by just 15%, it will increase harvest yields and overall profit significantly
Addition: With further specimens of use discovered, they have been incorporated into this project. As time passes, further may yet be added.
Main components
A small but just diverse enough colony of 'Star salad grown from a handful of provided seeds obtained via a brief communication with a Lord of the Sith who's house centered in agricultural and outpost development.

Current stage: Deeper study of growpattern gathered over the last three generations of current colony - outlining of desired traits to strengthen and possible means of increasing actual yield from plant without increasing demand of resources. Incorporated into the rations.

Current stage:Currently being grown via hydroponics farming. Roots utilized as hydration capsules in medical kit, will be incoperated to accompany as part of rations once the shell has been thickened and yield within each has been increased. Make a synthetic material container for the sap as an alternative option.

Current stage: Currently being grown in soil, with fruits plucked at optimal times to yield the seeds from them. A portion of seeds are set aside for storage for further plantation and eventual study to breed the tree to be more resist against particular environments - two breeds are in planning, one for arid and one for colder areas. This will help in keeping eventual outposts or long-term settlements during warfare fed due to calories from the seeds. As for now, seeds of the main plant has been worked into the medical kit, rations and being used for fooder on Gizka subjects.

Outline and Purpose
Assisting a Darth of Vhial's intellect is an opportunity few would shy away from if they held any aspiration of ever progressing in a field so infested by the blind and arrogant. With advice and actual permission to operate on the project itself, merely glimpsing the project has been a learning experience - and how it shall take shape under my hand directly. Through the subjects provided, the already infested specimens will have a genetic lock on their off-spring build in to prevent mass, uncontained outbreaks. In addition, the Virus itself will be restricted to be contained within the enzyme sack that is deployed into humanoid subjects when blood is consumed. The enzyme is used to numb the area of the victim, and thus serves no other purpose for the insect.
Addition: Changes to the placement of the virus may occur, as this is only the first draft to prepare for fieldtests. Potential of future carrier animals to assist in spread
Main components
5 boxes functioning as self-sufficient containers for the provided specimens of virus carrying mosquitoes. (Kept in warm, humid surroundings with necessary precautions to ensure potential escapes can't breach security. The species, beyond carrying the virus, is otherwise without abnormalities).

1: Map of Virus crafted, specimens secured in their self-contained storage unites within proper containment protocol to prevent potential escape attempts.
2: Isolating the Virus to the saliva sack of the mosquitoes to increase consistency and their own survival rate over a period of time.
3:Readjustments to initial approach, maintained overall progress though altered solution shall require further time. Sample colonies returned to Darth Vhial per request before final steps are made for initial field tests.
4:Sample colonies studied following introduction of modifications from Darth Vhial - awaiting word on developments regarding field tests.

Outline and Purpose

The tracking of traitors, escaped slaves and one's enemies is one usually left to long-range scanners or other equipment - a hunt between predator and prey. To reintroduce such an age old concept into one of guided, personal use shall come to serve me well - a hunter which dosen't desire and can last for weeks on the trail. The panther suits such purposes well, sensory organs providing one means of hunting beyond its sight already - now there is only to build upon it. A pack of four to hunt, with either pair having their own traits to effectively hunt the target


Main components: The three Asharl panthers captured on Ilumn during an operation with Apprentice Tashaa - all three currently held in the Horuset bestiary.

1:Initiate mating schedule for the female, be it willing or impregnation via syringe. Ensure the first litter is born with the offspring being the largest of the males. Once she gives birth, autopsy will be preformed with amount depending on available offspring. Remainder will have a portion raised to ensure a population, while others will become the first subjects.
b]1:(current)[/b] Sufficient population established. Secondary group formed to ensure a stable population for future subjects. Selection of male and female offspring has begun, with ideal time of modification established. Modifications to begin shortly - the females for their eyes, the males for their noses.

Outline and Purpose

Easy is it to dismiss the functionality of what is a scavenger, unable to often hunt by themselves - of simple minds, with bodies easily broken. Under my hand, they shall find renewed purpose through my will. Arguably the K'or'slugs pose a threat greater than the bewinged scavengers, but if acolytes of just some skill can face them with not much issue - such brings to question their usability past their venom. But to use they shall be put.


Main components: Colony of Wingmaws, Purella. Modification required to feet, skin and chest cavity to be made on the Wingmaws, as well as size increase of designated Alpha's to reduce competition.

Spoiler: Step-by-step process

1: Current collection of wingmaws, while small, provide a sufficient enough amount to begin the breeding process. Naktis established as first Alpha due to established bond, with her portion sizes increased and dominant behavior reward towards the 3 others.


2: Naktis to undergo the next set of modifications, addition of bone layered alike scales across the torso. Before it size has to be increased - while an adult, its sufficient endurance will see it survive the ordeal. Rest of colony to continue alongside planned breeding program. Animal to draw the acid-spitting from yet to be determined (though candidates are available).

b]3:(Current)[/b]. Population of modified stage 1 wingmaws established with acceptable casualties in offspring. Purrella's slated as the origin point of the acid, planning of modifying to said acid, investigation of their production of it and expansion of wingmaw's digestive system and expansion of chest cavity for next. If there's failure, consider secondary weaponizing efforts.

Outline and Purpose

Immortality through legacy is a notion many weight themselves in, of which I am no differing to. However there are many ways to ensure such, be it through one's House, recorded works or artifacts that linger beyond you. But how many actively consider to ensure their future actively, even if death has claimed flesh? Through Pragzia's design, I shall see my will done, laying this foundation from which future projects may prosper. Their backs shall sprout tendrils, their maws filled with poison, their shape alike hounds of old - an image to fear, a fate to dread.


Main components: Tuk'atas bred through the currently established breeding program, samples and framework of Pragzia's form and attributes - potentially involvement of siphons, nexus or construction of an amulet for additional power.

Spoiler: Step-by-step process

1: Gradual growth in the average size of the Tuk'ata within the packs through high protein diets and regular hunting and training. This is supplemented via culling the weakest of the pups, put to use for experiments, and nurturing the strongest to breed. Plans for separation into packs and addition of new specimen to ensure varied genepools in packs in the works.

2: First generation of the modified pups have begun to take shape. Two casualties and one case of a mangled hindleg, but the majority survived the modifications. Three, 1 female and 2 male, slated to be offered as gifts to individuals within the powerbase. Rest is in observation and training to befit them to help create the frame for the next generation.

3:(current) First stage tuk'ata established with a stable population growing and in training. Planning for the extend of second-stage modification in place, and how to separate them and the alpha ones in stage 2, to ensure Alpha dominance.
