Kissai; Priests of old

#1

The Kissai of the old Sith Empire were the priests and priestesses, leading the Sith faith, and practicing Sith Sorcery, Alchemy, and other dark magic. But what are the Kissai? The Kissai were the ones to worship Sorzus Syn, Ajunta Pall, Marchioness XoXaan, and the other Dark Jedi after they arrived on Korriban at the end of the Great Hyperspace War, that, in the words of Sorzus Syn: “Nearly toppled the Jedi Order.”
The Kissai were the ones to teach Sorzus Syn Sith Sorcery, magic, and Alchemy, after which she would create the infamous Leviathans among other creatures.
History:
Tracing the origins of the Kissai, and by extension, the Sith Purebloods is difficult, as the exact origins of the Sith race aren't known. We can say, however, that the Kissai, and by extension the Sith as a whole, originated on Korriban around 96,347 BTC, forming a tribal society and warring between each other for centuries. Over the centuries, the Kissai became the priests and spiritual leaders of the Sith, being the ones to study Sith sorcery, alchemy and other magic, as the Massassi became the warriors – hulking brutes who can, according to rumours, still be found on Yavin 4 to this very day.
During their brief unification under King Adas – who supposedly was the prophesized Sith'ari – the Kissai became the servants of the king, often serving him until their death. When Adas died, he left a power vacuum and decades of infighting, as many Sith Lords rose to claim his title of Overlord, or Sith'ari. None succeeded. Due to this turmoil on Korriban, a group of Massassi and Kissai decided to settle on nearby Ziost, beginning a colony. The Kissai, although not much is known of that time, supposedly directed the construction efforts.
Following the end of the Great Hyperspace War, this heretical sect would become the Sorcerers of Tund, who combine science, ontology, and magic for their heretical ends. By their Rakatan interactions, they became convinced that every sentient being is Force-Sensitive. While not true, they did partly grasp the truth. It is sad that, to do so, however, they abandoned the way of the Sith. After they had discovered this “Truth”, they declared that the Force’ omnipresence “Illuminates the deception of dualities and multiplicity.” They began viewing their way of life as perfectly harmonious and declared true opposites as an illusion. In a way, they became worse than the Jedi, who only follow the light.
Powers and study:
The Kissai of old were the priests and religious leaders, where they lead the Sith people in their faith in, for example, Typhojem, the left-handed god. The Kissai were also the first to study Sith Alchemy and Sorcery, where they began using those powers in the faith.
After the Dark Jedi landed on Korriban in 3,274 BTC, however, those powers were taught to them, with Sorzus Syn mastering Sith Alchemy and creating many war-beasts, such as the feared Leviathans, and Sith like Naga Sadow following in Syn’s, and by extension the Kissai’s, footsteps, who possibly created the Melodies that live high in the mountains of Yavin 4. Sith Sorcery and Alchemy are some of the most powerful weapons Sith can have in their arsenal, as a master sorcerer is able to bend reality itself to his will, summoning illusions among other things.
Closing Notes:
The Kissai of old were one of the most powerful and influential groups in the old Empire, leading the Sith together with kings like Adas during their peak of power in the old Empire, and being one of the first to follow the old Sith Emperor to Dromund Kaas, establishing the Sith Empire of after the Great Hyperspace War.
All in all, the Kissai were quite influential, forming one of the main groups in the old Empire, before almost going extinct. I, for one, wish to see them return to the Empire and lead it, under Emperor Vowrawn, into a new golden era.

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
