The Heresy in Darth Ikoral's demise:

#1
Through my arduous study of the history of the Sith, I came across the history of the Harrower Class dreadnought, the Red Reaper. It belonged to the Ikoral Powerbase. Through further study, I then pried into who Darth Ikoral was. Unfortunately, I was unable to get too far on the Th'Asidra, so I ventured to Drummond Kaas, to the Historical Archives of the Imperial Academy. There I met a Pureblooded professor in Sith History, he was... Unwilling to teach me at first, but I persisted, hence my absence from the Lessons on the Vessel.  After much conversing and persuasion, I succeeded in having him divulge the crucial information I was after.

So, who was Darth Ikoral?
A century ago, Darth Ikoral, a Pureblood of Massassi descent, was honored by the Emperor himself. He used that honouring and merit from Vitiate, the Emperor of his time, as a rite of Pureblood Supremacy. He was a devout believer in the old ways, believing so much in the Purity of ones blood and his hate for alien species, that he infact forbade Alien slaves in or around his presence. The reason is unknown, perhaps he found them revolting? Or perhaps unworthy to set their eyes on his presence.

Ikoral's Crusade:
Around 77 years ago now, (The actual date of his departure is different depending on the source, the Imperial naval Logs state it was 77 years ago.) Darth Ikoral took his (Almost) entirely Pureblood crew among the Red reaper in a campaign to find Purebloods outside of Sith Space. Ikoral did this by convincing the Dark Council to allow an expedition to search for pureblooded Sith outside the Empire, hoping to find Sith who fled Korriban after the Great Hyperspace War who had not made the journey to Dromund Kaas with the Sith Emperor. When Ikoral failed to return from his quest, he was celebrated as a martyr; for decades his name was synonymous with determination and sacrifice in the Sith Empire.

"Darth Ikoral took the Red Reaper and headed off outside of the boundaries of Sith Space, Maintaining comms until he passed out of Communications range at the planet Agamar, after that, the vessel fell silent. Due to Agamar's location being on a Direct Hyperlane to Ord Mantell, we assume it experienced catastrophic engine failure due to it's customized engine design, created by Darth Ikoral and his selected Engineering team."

At this stage one rightfully assumed that the mission was a failure. However, during the height of the Cold war with the Republic, reports, both from the Chandrila news and Imperial leaked, and de-classified records, show that he had indeed launched a full scale assault on the Republic Agriworld, Chandrila. An assault, that if successful, would have resulted in a crippling blow against the Republic, starving billions of Citizens on worlds such as Corellia, Coruscant, Kuat and the Republic supplied Resistance fighters on Balmorra.

Intrigue:
The Red Reaper was a standard issue factory made Harrower class Dreadnought. The initial crew manifesto stated that there were over two thousand two hundred Purebloods (Approx), with the last one hundred (Approx) being Human. Yet from various sources, information came to light that there were an extra seven thousand Purebloods on the Ship. This can only mean one thing.

Darth Ikoral was successful.

His seventy years of absence resulted in him returning to the Empire victorious. Yet, something made him not want to align himself again with the Emperor, or the Dark Council.

Aliens in the Sith.

Darth Ikoral, was disgusted by aliens, Such as Twi'leks, Zabraks and other Tail headed creatures, joining the ranks of the Sith. He intended to go on a full Purge of Alien Species in the Sith Empire and the Sith order. Yet he was labelled as a traitor and killed by a Strike team. (The members of the Strike team still are classified information, I have not been able to attain their identities or allegiances) I do not know if they were Imperial, Republic, or independent, but who-ever they were, they fought alongside the Chandrila defense forces to best the Pureblooded Sith and warriors of the Ikoral power base.

Who was in the right?

The Empire Values strength and power, if you prove your might and strength, serve the Empire, and survive. You can be Sith. After all, the Sith Code is a guide, not a Dogma, hence our superiority over the Jedi.

Ikoral wanted to restore the purity of the Sith from a century ago, when Purebloods were revered as the Superior species over all, this is still true to an extent, but its meaning, in my opinion, has been diluted.

One can never learn without asking questions, so I wonder,

Where was House Horuset when Ikoral returned?

Did House Horuset, in all of its glory and traditionalist values, agree or disagree with Darth Ikoral?

And, if the Empire did indeed order a strike team to bring Darth Ikoral down, does that not make them heretics? Slaying a Pureblood who wished to restore the old ways of the Empire?

Or, is it the other way around, was Darth Ikoral a Heretic for forsaking the Dark council's new ideals on what it takes to become Sith?

Further research is required...

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
