The Heavy Arsenal of the Empire
The vehicles in this thread are not used by player characters due to requiring more than one crew member. This is just lore.
A small holorecording would play once the file was downloaded. A synthetic Imperial voice would speak, near entirely monotone.
"The armoured fist of the Imperial Army is a well developed list of tanks and walkers and even field guns that any foe should rightfully fear. The vehicles as described below are deployed with specially trained vehicle crews who know their assigned vehicle inside and out, and as such most members of the army will not be expected to pilot these vehicles unless they are redeployed to the appropirate units. Although knowing your allies is as important as knowing your enemy."
And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file would go into detail concerning the larger vehicles that are available to the Empire.
Imperial Closed Walkers:
"A mainstay of the Imperial Army for years, the Imperial Ravager-Tri Walker (IR-TW) is a hugely imposing sight on the battlefield tanks to it's supreme height and heavy armour. Armed with two forward facing Mk-IIc Heavy Laser Cannons, two backwards facing HRZ-2 Repeating Blaster, and a top mounted SI-02 Missile Pod. A crew of three operates the heavy walker: one pilot, one rear gunner, and the commander who doubles as the forwards gunner. It was not uncommon for field modifications to replace the viewing screens with more heavily armoured plating with vision ports and exterior cameras to improve crew survability.
Slowly the IR-TW was phased out after the Battle of Ilum, the largwe design of the walker was starting to prove more of a disadvantage and it's tri-legged design was struggling in the snow. By modern standards the IR-TW is an antique piece of equipment, though a respected one with a lot of fire power."
"The IS-RW is the larger and better armoured cousin of the IS-AW. While not a strict replacement, many scouting units favour the IS-RW in heavy combat zones as they can operate it fully enclosed from the elements. The drivers comparment has not only been enlarged but clever space usage has allowed it to mount more weapons and a second crew member. Originally designed by Hive Industries, a subsidiary of the Banking Clans, it was sold to both the Republic and the Empire in secret. Years later it is not uncommon to see both powers using the same walker on the same battlefield, though with slight adjustments.
The IS-RW is armed with a chin mounted Mk-IVa Light Laser Cannon and two side mounted LRZ-2s Light Repeating Blasters. The crew is cramped but consists of a pilot/gunner and the commander/comms operator. Despite the tight conditions of the walker, many crew swear by it, stating they'd rather be uncomfortable for a few hours than dead."
"The IL-AW was the replacement to the older tri-walker that served the Empire for many years. It's development started on Dromund Kalakar following the Battle of Illum and by the time of the Revanite Crisis it was already in use within some Imperial Divisions, common enough that the Revanite Traitors managed to secure enough before their destruction. The IL-AW is a formidable piece of miliitary equipment, often loaned from Armoured Brigades to form the core spear point of an infantry assault. It was famously used on Iokath with the renowned walker Crimson Talon fighting briefly under the leadership of Empress Acina.
The IL-AW shares much in common with the IS-AW, though is more heavily armoured and armed. Over six meters tall, it does still not come close to the full height of the IR-TW but maintains all the same fire power and defenses, with none of the drawbacks. The walkers is armed with: a chin mounted MRZ-5m Repeating Blaster, a side mounted Mk-VIb Heavy Laser Cannon, two side mounted NT-02 grenade launchers, and a top mounted SI-05 Missile Pod. It also has a crew of two. The pilot will operate the blaster weaponry while the commander will operate the launchers and comms units. Since it's introduction the IL-AW has quickly become one of the most favoured walkers of the Imperial Army."
Heavy Imperial Tanks:
"The Imperial Siege tank is by far the most recognisable heavy tank used by the Sith Empire. Used for generations as a highly reliable transport and line breaker, as well as mobile command centers. Seeing use all across the galaxy from Corellia to Tatooine and Quesh, the IB-ST is a veteran of every warzone the Empire has ever seen. Known for it's supremely heavy armour it can transport a full fifty soldiers into the enemy lines with very little damage. Four tread rollers allow it to crawl through all but the most difficult terrain, and the soft middle gives a tighter turning circle for what is by all accounts a super heavy vehicle.
The siege tank does not carry much in weapons, as standard it is manufactured with a mortar turret equiped with two KI5 Auto-Mortar. Though it is common for crews to modify the front cab with a top mounted blaster turret. The massive tank requires at least 5 crew members, but some use up to 10. This includes: a driver, co-driver, engineer, commander, and mortar gunner. It is not uncommon for there to be an onboard medic, comms officers, and a spare engineer."
"A much more recent design, the IB-AT is the faster cousin to the siege tank. Where the IB-ST is known for it's deliberate advance and unstoppable engines, the IB-AT is designed for a rapid assault to catch the enemy unawares. Nearly as large as the crawler but instead fitted with six massive wheels, difficult terrain can prove troublesome, though higher speeds and mobility allows it to take avenues of assault that the siege tank may not consider due to time constraints. Able to transport fifty troops into battle; it has recently been used for deploying elite units on enemy flanks when shuttles haven't been a viable pathway. While it lacks the super heavy armour of the siege tank it is still armoured enough to resist small arms fire and even some medium yield explosives.
The IB-AT is outfitted with just two side mounted MkVIb Laser Cannons. Early into the vehicles life span it is difficult to tell if vehicle crews will make adjustments for heavier weapons or not. The tank is crewed by four: a driver, co-driver, a commander, and comms officer who also doubles as an engineer."
Imperial Field Guns:
"While technically not a vehicle, the KP-4 fills the important role of large, stationary weapon. Fitted with a quad barrelĀ on a large turret base with a seat for a gunner at the rear. Large magazines make up the left and right flanks of the gun, able to fire solid proton shells or proton flak shells. The great advantage of the KP-4 is that it can fire a devestating amount of firepower in such a short space of time, easily overwhelming most targets with proton detonations or flak shrapnel. The largest disadvantages to the KP-4 are that due to it's rate of fire it eats ammo faster than some commanders would like, and it can be too innacurate to use as dedicated artillery. The KP-4 for this reason is more often used in combat zones with large undisturbed views, such as desert landscapes. Though it remains an admirable anti-air weapon when fitted with flak shells, but if a gun battery cannot destroy their enemy quickly they'll be left exposed during the reloading process."
"Not a true cannon but capable of serving the role of artillery on field battles. The MK1-Barrage War Droid is produced by Pinit Industrial Foundries under the supervision of Lord Saltaeon. Based on the venerable Sith War Droid of the early Great Galactic War era, conventional blaster cannons have been swapped with the AP-08 Proton Cannon on the right arm, capable of firing solid projectile proton shells up to 10KM away if in ideal firing conditions. The proton cannon features a gravity fed magazine that can be replaced by the pneumatic-controller on the left hard point. The central processing unit is capble of taking target data from Imperial controlling officers and use the advanced droid brain to calculate the ideal firing angles based on ambient information available to the droid. Typically only available to dedicated artillery battalions."
Imperial Transport Vehicles:
"The PF27-L10 Light Troop Transport is a recent development in the Imperial war effort, designed and manufactured at Pinit Inudstrial Foundries udner the supervision of Lord Saltaeon. Serving the role of land based transport it is fully capable of transporting 10 man squads from point to point with relative ease. Using hover engines to provide suitable lift and propulsion for the armoured frame. The interior is fitted with seating and storage for 10 soldiers, and a seperate compartment for the driver. Armed with two heavy blaster cannons for basic levels of defense in the forward facing arc it trades heavy armour and weapons for high speeds on open roads and a high degree of movability. Can be deployed with Mechanised Infantry army units or planetary garrison units for patrol duties."

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!
|
"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."
((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
