The Imperial Quartermaster - Cybernetic Enhancements
In this thread, you'll see all types of cybernetic enhancements that are available to Imperial personnel. Cybernetic enhancements are technology integrated into biology, and are not a tech dominated enhancement. Each specialisation has a limit of how many Cybernetics they can have implanted in them at any one time and each type of cybernetic has its own limit of how many of that type can be implanted onto a soldier at any one time. The Sith side of the Horuset Powerbase does not have access to these Cybernetics by default and would require the permission of the Imperial Quartermaster directly to get access to them. This can be achieved through attending and succeeding in deadly events, where a Sith can ask for one cybernetic per successful deadly event.
A small holorecording would play once the file was downloaded. A synthetic Imperial voice would speak, near entirely monotone.
"The Imperial Quartermaster can be accessed through the Imperial Training Room aboard Th’Asidra or within the Horuset Estate. Cybernetics enhancements are technological marvels that are used from militaries aiming to enhance their soldier's combat effectiveness all the way to civilians who are looking to be more efficient while they work. The Sith Empire has long since had a standing interest in developing and upkeeping Cybernetic Enhancements for their soldiers to ensure that when the Empire does battle, it does battle with shock and awe. Cybernetic enhancements are installed directly into the individual through a surgery conducted within one of the Horuset Powerbase’s medical bays with a recovery time of two standard days and require exceptionally healthy users to take. This often means corrupted individuals or the degraded elderly cannot have cybernetic enhancements. While standard enhancements are common across the Empire, the Horuset Powerbase has only recently managed to solidify a supply.
A Cybernetic Enhancement is different to a Cybernetic Replacement. While replacements are often fully synthetic limbs that replace the user’s previous limb, cybernetic enhancements are small chips or systems that regulate already existing biological processes within the body of the user to optimise them to become the best they can be and beyond with artificial enhancement. This leaves someone who uses cybernetic enhancements still a near entirely biological being with their cybernetic enhancements drawing power for their operation from the user’s body directly. Mostly discreet, there are few easily identifiable signs to show that a user is cybernetically enhanced."
And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file would go into detail concerning the Cybernetic Enhancements that are available at the Imperial Quartermaster.
Distribution of Cybernetic Enhancements across Specialisations:
- Heavy Weapons Solder - Three Implants Maximum
- Marksman - One Implant Maximum
- Sharpshooter - Two Implants Maximum
- Sniper - Two Implants Maximum
- Demolitions Specialist - One Implant Maximum
- Close Quarters Combatant - One Implant Maximum
- Specialised Infantry - One Implant Maximum
- Engineer - One Implant Maximum
- Slicer - Two Implants Maximum
- Communications Specialist - Two Implants Maximum
- Imperial Coordinator - Two Implants Maximum
Cybernetic Eyes - One of the Below:
"The Retinal combat implant is an implant that has its chip stored in either the hairline or over the ear of the user. While its housing is elsewhere, the implant impacts the user’s eyes by improving their visual acuity, which enables the user to better track movement with a higher general awareness of their surroundings. The implant is tailored towards combat, with its benefits being most notable in being able to track enemy movements if they were engaging in a flank or even with distinct slashes with a sword as the implant tracks the enemy combatants arm movements enabling the user to react accordingly to their danger. The general awareness benefit will help the user notice smaller details and movements that others would not over greater distances and out of the corners of their eyes more readily. This can help the user identify if such movements are hostile, if identified correctly."
Specialisations:- Heavy Weapons Soldier
- Marksman
- Specialised Infantry
- Communications Specialist
"The Night Sight visual implant is a small cybernetic lense that is installed over the user’s eyes during the operation, molding with them to enhance their efficiency. As its name suggests, the enhancement allows a user to see in the dark even when there are no external light sources at all. Such makes it an effective enhancement when fighting against foes who rely on the light of a sun to see, as the user no longer does. Able to be toggled on and off at the user’s discretion through their mind interfacing with the enhancement, the only recorded side effect of the enhancement is that the user no longer sees shadows of any form when enabled, making reality seem surreal. "
Specialisations:- Marksman
- Engineer
- Demolition Specialist
- Imperial Coordinator
"The Visual Enhancement Implant is a small cybernetic lense that has 10 different focus variations that is installed over both eyes through a complicated medical procedure. The different focus variations allow a user to magnify their vision up to 10 times what it currently is, with each magnification seeing more and more periphery sight lost as the centre of the eyes focus is enhanced. Such can be used by soldiers who have accurate weaponry but not a usable sight alongside enabling scouting potential against enemy forces and accurate battlefield surgeries to stop comrades from dying. Side effects of prolonged use include headaches through strain on the eyes."
Specialisations:- Sniper
- Specialised Infantry
- Communications Specialist
Cybernetic Brain Enhancements - Two of the Below:
"The Nerve Enhancement System is housed within a synthetic disc that is placed at the nape of the neck, hidden beneath all armours of the Sith Empire. While housed at the nape of the neck, the system regulates the nervous system by interfacing directly with the different nodes of the brain. Such regulation prevents the loss of consciousness due to sudden impact or sensory overload, such as excessive pain. The cybernetic therefore has advantages and disadvantages, as during combat the user will be able to keep on going no matter what occurs around them or to them unless outright killed. Such mental resilience is however a disadvantage if the user is captured, as the user will be unable to fall unconscious to spare themselves from excessive torture."
Specialisations:- Heavy Weapons Soldier
- Close Quarters Combatant
- Communications Specialist
- Imperial Coordinator
"The reaction system is a cybernetic enhancement that is installed behind one of the user’s ears in the form of a semi circular protected synthetic chip that interfaces directly to the user’s brain. The reaction system supplants the user’s normal nervous system, enhancing it artificially. Because of this, the impulses across the system travel faster and farther to improve reaction time. Such a system also improves fine motor control, allowing steadier hands and increasing accuracy with ranged weaponry if applied correctly. One noted side effect of this supplantment is the user becomes hungrier more quickly and once the user is hungry, their extremities will begin to shake, making the user have to be very aware that they have to maintain their state of hunger well on the battlefield."
Specialisations:- Sharpshooter
- Demolition Specialist
- Close Quarters Combatant
- Specialised Infantry
- Imperial Coordinator
"The Numbness System implant is housed in a central unit across one of the user’s temples and forehead. While small, the impact of the system is great as it integrates into and modifies the signals of the brain. The Numbness System works by converting all pain into benign brain signals, which increases the user’s durability by being able to push through pain that would otherwise cripple them as if it was nothing. The system does not enable functions of the body to work if they were disabled by the damage, but does ensure that the soldier will be able to press on without the function, if it hasn’t killed them directly. As the user is still fully aware of their bodies current health due to the benign signals, the system has no direct negative side effects. The Numbness System does not stop a user from going into shock."
Specialisations:- Heavy Weapons Soldier
- Demolition Specialist
- Close Quarters Combatant
"The Advanced Targeting Implant is technology that is housed over one of the eyebrows of the user. Interfacing directly with the user’s brain or a helmet’s HUD if one is worn, the advanced targeting system will generate a HUD if one is not present, enabling and enhancing the capabilities of an ordinary targeting system built into a helmet. Providing highlighting, threat levels, weapon tracking and recommended shots to take the Advanced Targeting Implant is a fully calibrated weapons system ready for use to enhance accuracy and range capabilities. Side effects can include mild hallucinations of voices giving targeting recommendations when not active."
Specialisations:
"The Slicing Enhancement System is housed around the back of an ear and interfaces directly into the brain of the user. The Slicing Enhancement system has pre-designated code rewriters and firewall breakers built into it, allowing a slicer to get recommendations from the system on how to break through the software infront of them. If used alongside the dataspike finger enhancement, the Slicing Enhancement System allows the user to convert themselves into a user interface when the dataspike is plugged into an interface socket such as those used by astromech droids. When used as a user interface, the system allows the slicer to deploy these in-built rewriters and firewall breakers directly into the system and making amendments as they can manage."
Specialisations:
Cybernetic Arm Enhancements - One of the Below:
"The Strength Package Implant is housed under the skin on one of the user’s arms as a small chip. The package increases the users strength through a combination of autonomic regulatory centre management and small doses of Adrenal Strength without needing the soldier to put on additional muscle mass. Such a system requires an exceptionally healthy individual in particular, above and beyond most other implants. The package is most noticeable when used in close quarters combat, where a user will find themselves out performing those with comparable muscle mass with ease. Side effects include a growing tolerance towards adrenal strength, seeing the adrenal only effective for three minutes instead of the normal six. "
Specialisations:- Heavy Weapons Soldier
- Close Quarters Combatant
"The Toughness Implant is housed under the skin on one of the user’s arms as a small chip. Connected to the user’s skin, the implant thickens the user’s skin to the effect of making it more difficult to burn or cut through and bleeding to be lessened, resulting in an overall tougher soldier. Because of the implant, a user is able to sustain more punishment than others as a result before their facilities would be crippled, shrugging off blaster bolt impacts that hit thinner armour with ease. A side effect of this tougher skin is that Adrenals and Stimulants can no longer be used at all, as the standardised needle breaks on impact with the skin where used through an armour port or through attempted injection with surgical drugs and painkillers having to be administered orally."
Specialisations:- Heavy Weapons Soldier
- Close Quarters Combatant
"This Package is unlike any other enhancement, as it is effectively a replacement despite its classification. A single finger of the soldier of their choice is replaced with a cybernetic version of itself, including synth flesh and synthskin to make it as biological in appearance as it once was. The enhancement comes from the package’s ability to be snapped open at the tip to reveal a dataspike that can be inserted into the universal access ports across the galaxy. Used alone, this package enables the Slicer to have a dataspike on them at all times that can be used to overwhelm a system, with a normal objective being to have that system cease to function. Used in conjunction with the Slicing Enhancement System, the package becomes the access point of the user to interface directly into a system and use its paired enhancement to become a user interface."
Specialisations:
Cybernetic Chest Enhancements - One of the Below:
"The Regenerator Implant is housed directly into the chest of the user in the form of a small metal disc that has been implanted beneath the skin. Linking to every cell in the body of the user, this advanced package stimulates cell replication in the user’s body, allowing wounds to be healed quicky and easily relative to their normal pace. Such a regenerator is not capable of healing critical wounds within hours, but at its core quarters the time of the natural healing process. Side effects include all of the user’s hair growing faster and to a much increased length, far beyond what would be their normal genetic stopping length."
Specialisations:
"The Cardio Package is housed directly into the chest of the user in the form of a small metal disc that has been implanted beneath the skin. The package micromanages the cardiovascular system, effectively increasing the users constitution faster and further than hard work or exercise alone would be able to manage while also generating a low amount of O2 and adding it into the bloodstream. Such a package enables a user to be active for longer without suffering from bodily fatigue and ensures that a user can breathe in low O2 areas. The package will not keep a user alive in a no oxygen environment for long, giving the user only an extra two minutes on top of their own natural ability to survive a non oxygen environment. Side effects of the package can include mild dizziness when changing elevation suddenly, such as when standing up a chair."
Specialisations:- Engineer
- Communications Specialist
- Droid Commander
"The Bio-antidote Package is housed directly into the chest of the user in the form of a small metal disc that has been implanted beneath the skin. The package maintains an ever-circulating stream of antitoxins in the user, increasing the relevant antidotes for specific poisons that may get into the user’s body. While not a perfect match for every poison, even those it doesn’t house the antidote for are slowed in effectiveness. Side effects include dry mouth."
Specialisations:- Specialised Infantry
- Imperial Coordinator
Cybernetic Leg Enhancements - One of the Below:
"The Calibrated Shock Implant is a thin metallic rod that protects an internal chip that is inserted into the thigh of the user. The implant effectively enables the user to absorb greater impacts on their legs, particularly through controlled falls when landing on their legs or into a roll by enhancing the elasticity of muscles while making the bones of the legs more durable and more difficult to break."
Specialisations:
"The Enhanced Sprinting Implant is a thin metallic rod that protects an internal chip that is inserted into the thigh of the user. The implant is simple in nature, making micro differences to the user’s way of sprinting that sees the user able to do so for twice as long and noticeably faster before tiring. Such changes include longer stride length and the development of isometric and eccentric hamstring muscles among a dozen other smaller changes."
Specialisations:- Engineer
- Close Quarters Combatant
"The Stabilised Platform Implant is a thin metallic rod that protects an internal chip that is inserted into the thigh of the user. The implant allows the user to on demand lock their legs into the position they are currently held in and to remain stationary under duress. This implant allows a user to fire consistently and accurately multiple times with weapons such as the Blaster Assault Cannons, Rifles or Scatterblasters or even to hold the line against a previously overwhelming pressure from a melee combatant."
Specialisations:- Heavy Weapons Soldier
- Sharpshooter

War in the Northern Territories
The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!
|
"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."
((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
