Mission Report - Crowd Control

A small holorecording would play once the file was downloaded. The voice of Harridax Geskar would play across the recording, somewhat haughty and rehearsed. It was very clearly a recording made for multiple uses.

"Major Koren, Captain Igneel, Lieutenant McCarthy. Listed below is my report of yesterdays mission, for you to look over at your own leisure. The account is from my own perspective of events, a full detailing of all that occurred only able to be gathered from multiple reports from multiple people."

And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file would go into detail of the titled report.

Stage 1 - Entry and Securing the Maintenance Tunnels:

Lord Kalkoran tasked both the Black Ops Squad and the adjacent squad with securing a prison that was in orbit of Alor II. Parts of the Imperial Garrison had been sent to the planet to help stave off the rebellion, but it left the prison itself too lightly guarded. A riot had broken out. The prisoners had been classified by attire, into either orange jumpsuits for lesser crimes and red jump suits for more major ones. The red jumpsuit prisoners were mostly leaders of the riot and in turn one of their number was named by Lord Kalkoran himself, Collev Milatch. The objectives were to re-secure the prison, take the red prisoners alive and in particular capture Collev Milatch. Captain Chakad, Specialist Quinton, Private Tiberillus and Private Vas were alongside myself.
Our shuttle took us in to the prison itself and didn't land in one of the overrun hangers. The prison had suffered extensive structural damage due to the prison, and we made use of such a fact by managing to navigate the shuttle towards an exposed maintenance corridor. When we were on the 'ground', the squad began moving forward on opposite walls in near complete darkness. All who were able switched to the low-light visor filter and we progressed in calculated quiet.
A group of four orange prisoners was what we came across first in the maintenance shaft. At my own recommendation, we planned to take them out quietly, meaning no blaster fire. Unfortunately, blaster fire still went off but no other prisoners noticed. Once the prisoners were dealt with, we continued forward quietly before encountering a group of over twenty prisoners. Corners were peaked and it was arranged for a flashbang to be thrown before a torrent of fire would decimate their forces. Captain Chakad had to go back to the ship at such a point and Specialist Quinton took over. The flashbang was thrown and their forces were decimated with minimal hits to ourselves. My own position saw me prone on the floor with accurate shots firing down the corridor.

Stage 2 - Disguises, Courtyard and the Target:

The Maintenance tunnel fights had seen both an Imperial rescued from being a hostage and a red jumpsuit prisoner taken hostage, a role reversal. Two more prisoners came into the maintenance tunnel and were quickly dispatched in an ambush. After a brief conversation amongst the Soldiers, it was decided that we would don the attire of the prisoners we had killed to make it easier for us to traverse the prison to turn the defence system back on. After a brief moment of preparation, we were all wearing jumpsuits over our armour and had decided to take the risk of continuing to wear our helmets, but smeared in blood to make them seem like trophies.
The Courtyard of the Prison was, as expected, full of prisoners. Ten were immediately near our exit point, but our disguises held up and our armed nature was not questioned when every other prisoner had an Imperial Blaster Pistol or Rifle. Private Tiberillus had been providing overwatch throughout most of the Maintenance tunnel, but now all four of us moved as one group. We walked through the prisoners as if we were them and headed towards the Security room that the LT had told Specialist Quinton where it was.
As we crossed to the other end of the courtyard, our target came into view, Collev Milatch. They were giving speeches to the gathered prisoners, instilling in them a sense of patriotism for the Republic. The target was certainly charismatic, but ultimately in the end it did not help him. The security room was found and we saw it guarded by a pair of large prisoners armed with Light Repeating Rifles. The security room was down another level compared to the courtyard and thankfully, the prisoners were mostly all congregated around Collev meaning it was only us, the two heavily armed prisoners and the prisoners inside the security room.

Stage 3 - Firefight, Security Room and Capturing the Target:

A plan was formed to secure the Security Room that involved stunning the two guards, throwing a flashbang inside the security room and then ending the prisoners inside. Following this, two of the squad would drag the bodies of the guards inside the security room and take their place, acting the part to give the rest of the squad as much time as necessary to get the defense system back online. The two guards were taken out with a small delay while a flashbang was thrown inside the security room. Shots were exchanged and both myself and Specialist Quinton were hit. Despite suffering such wounds, we managed to win the firefight.
After a minor bout of confusion, Specialist Quinton and Private Tiberillus took up the positions of the guards as I was too wounded to take such a place. Private Vas was nowhere to be seen or heard and likewise hadn't been seen since the firefight. I managed to destroy the Inhibator that was impacting the Defense System's terminal and then Private Vas let us know where they were, in the crowd of prisoners. She was instructed to duck down to avoid being hit in the crossfire as the defense system reactivated.
With the defense system reactivated, Private Vas managed to hit the target and capture him as chaos erupted from the automated turrets being reengaged. The squad managed to carry the target back to the maintenance tunnel and as dispersed as we had become during our hasty exit, we met back up in such a location. Checking that we were all suitable for travel and that nobody was excessively wounded, we reboarded with the Imperial ex-hostage and the Red Jumpsuit prisoner brought in alongside the unconscious Collev Milatch.

Commendations:

Private Tiberillus performed admirably throughout the entire mission. He was watching our backs, forming clear sightlines with overwatch tactics and worked well with the others in the squad. Orders were clear and understood and he did not deviate from the given objectives at any single moment.

- Private Harridax Geskar

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
