The Imperial Quartermaster - Armours and Uniforms
Spoiler: OOC Information:
In this thread, you'll see all types of armours and uniforms that are available to Imperial personnel. Displayed pictures are included as examples, but are not necessarily the only ingame model that fits the role of the type of armour/uniform it is a picture for. As a Private, you are given access to the Terenthium Onslaught armour set, dubbed Imperial Light Infantry Armour ICly and the Thuul Loyalist set, dubbed Imperial Medium Infantry Armour ICly. As a Specialist, you will ICly get access to the Imperial Heavy Infantry armour, which can be gotten OOCly If you have the Makeb reputation for the Imperial armour. The Terenthium set exists so that a lighter alternative is available to the Imperials who would rather stock up more on weapons and equipment than protect themselves with the heaviest armour.
More specialised armours are unlocked as soldiers gain ranks, offering a diversity of how they appear while remaining strictly 'Imperial' looking as soldiers of the Empire. The Specialisation Chestplates OOC names are as follows:
Heavy Weapons Soldier - Fieldtech Gunner
Marksman - Dread Host, Oricon Reputation Vendor
Demolitions Specialist - Tempest Warden
Close Quarters Combatant - Cyber Agent
Combat Medic - Deadeye Chestplate
Jumptrooper - RD-15a Mercenary Chestguard
Engineer - BK-O Chestplate
Slicer - Advanced Slicer Chestplate
Imperial Coordinator - Snowtrooper's Breastplate
Communications Specialist - Enhanced Surveillance Jacket
A small holorecording would play once the file was downloaded. A synthetic Imperial voice would speak, near entirely monotone.
"The Imperial Quartermaster can be accessed inside the Imperial Training Room, aboard Th'Asidra Harrower-Class Dreadnought. For Privates, the default armour is the latest in Duraplast protection in two forms. The newest Privates are issued Imperial Light Infantry Armour, giving suitable protection despite the more mobile appearance. For Privates who have been in the Imperial Military a number of weeks, are reissued with the latest in front line protection in the form of Imperial Medium Infantry Armour. For those who become a Specialist, you are given access to the Imperial Heavy Infantry Armour. Further Armour to replace others becomes available to the soldiers as they progress in their career.
For uniforms, a standard formal wear has been provided that all soldiers will wear when appropriate. Such a formal uniform is only rarely seen and will be provided when necessary. Officers receive an updated Formal Uniform when they are promoted to such a role."
And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file would go into detail concerning the Armours and Uniforms that are available at the Imperial Quartermaster.
Standard Armours of the Imperial Military:
Spoiler: Imperial Light Infantry Armour:
"The Imperial War Machine was founded in the jungles of our capital world. Before our emergence into conquering worlds anew during our isolation, Imperial Light Infantry Armour was the standard amongst Imperial Ground Forces. As the Empire has grown in size and manufacturing capacity, the Imperial Light Infantry Armour has seen numerous upgrades and revamps to ensure it continues to fall in line with the top protection the lighter set of armour can offer. While several standard Imperial Light Infantry Armours are available within the Empire, the Horuset Powerbase has one in particular as standard as per the Imperial Quartermaster's requisitions.
The Imperial Light Infantry Armour offers mobile agility to a soldier who puts more stock in not being hit in the first place than surviving the bolt if one connects. Despite such a focus however, the Duraplast armouring is just as strong as the Imperial Heavy Armour, but is used in more sparse places. The helmet is not a full face helmet like the Imperial Heavy Infantry Armour, meaning that no HUD is available for targetting assistance. Because of this the built in computers and systems are placed on the wrists and chest."

Spoiler: Imperial Medium Infantry Armour:
"Created alongside the Imperial Heavy Infantry Armour, the Medium alternative became the standard usage of armour throughout the Empire for defensive garrisons, where more protection than the light version was a necessity but the frontline weight of the heavy was not needed. Made from a mesh of Duraplast and Durasteel plates over a tough body glove, the Medium Armour offers protection comparable to what most well off Mercenaries and Bounty Hunters can manage in the wider galaxy. Fitted for each soldier, the Medium Armour offers full motor functions and is able to ensure a soldier can get where they need to be swiftly while also being able to take a shot when they get there. The helmet of the Medium Armour is near identical in function to that of the Imperial Heavy Infantry Armour, giving the soldier access to a HUD on a lighter frame.
The Imperial Medium Infantry Armour's helmet is a technological marvel in and of itself. With a targeting computer built into the HUD of the helmet that can be controlled from gauntlet mounted controls with several visual modes, it is deceiving to enemies of the Empire just how mechanised an Imperial Soldier truly is. With the Heads Up Display giving access to a compass to allow the Soldier basic directions and the HUD being interfaced with the Soldier's held weapon, this further allows the soldier to have a running count of their ammunition within their weapon alongside motion based tracking through the targeting computer with an inbuilt friend/foe system. Three visual modes can be used through the helmet by default. A normal view that soldiers will use most commonly, unobstructed by any other view alongside both thermal vision and night vision. The Empire's finest technology is widespread, turning even a single soldier into a stalwart defender of the Empire against many enemy combatants.
Likewise, the chest-plate of the Imperial Medium Infantry Armour has a medical read-out that enables a medic to know at a glance whether the user of the armour is stable or in danger of dying. Able to tell a medic in an instant whether a user is experiencing shock, whether they are conscious or unconscious and even pinpoint a general idea of what type of wound a soldier has taken, the chest-plate of the Imperial Medium Infantry Armour is a marvel for any soldier to wear and a great assistance for any medic. Alongside this medical readout, is a small port for the use of a single Adrenal or Stimulant. Linked into the HUD of the helmet of the user, it can be operated either through the HUD or via a button on the chest-plate itself. Once the adrenal is used, it is automatically ejected from the port for another to be put within."

Spoiler: Imperial Heavy Infantry Armour:
"With the need rising swiftly in the Sith Empire's early history for Imperial Soldiers to be armoured in the best equipment and technology that the militaristic state could support, it was not long after the standardisation of the Imperial Light Infantry Armour that the introduction was made for the Imperial Heavy Infantry Armour. Made from thick duraplast and reinforced against EMP or Ion attacks, the Imperial Heavy Infantry Armour is as the name suggests, very heavy. Fitted in nature, each armour set is sized to best fit the soldier who would wear it to ensure the best deployment possible per soldier. While less mobile due to the weight, the Imperial Heavy Infantry Armour still offers every motor function that the user could do before without hindrance.
The Imperial Heavy Infantry Armour comes in two variations within the Horuset Powerbase, at the behest of the Imperial Quartermaster. Identical in protection and electronic capabilities, both sets offer stalwart protection against blaster fire, bladed weaponry, explosions and even to a lesser extent lightsabers. The duraplast plating is noted as an innovation amongst the Sith Empire, able to be compared with nearly the toughest of armours the Mandalorian Clans were able to outfit their own troops with outside of the use of Beskar. It will take many shots to down a Soldier who wears the best armour the Sith Empire can offer.

Specialised Chestplates of the Imperial Military:
Spoiler: Imperial Jumptrooper Chestplate:
""Jump and Jetpacks alike have been made famous throughout the galaxy by the formidable Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders that fought against the Galactic Republic during the Mandalorian Wars. Sometimes used by Mercenaries and Bounty Hunters looking to imitate the Mandalorian's way of fighting, it is only in recent decades since the Sith Empire's resurgence that Jump and Jetpacks have become available to Imperial Soldiers. The key differences between Jump and Jetpacks is that a Jump-pack is suited for a jet assisted jump. Often taking a user several dozen metres in horizontal distance while only a dozen into the air, the Jump-pack is suited for quickly closing in on a foe in one leap. In contrast, the Jetpack is more suited for more manual control. Able to go where the user wishes but at a slower speed, the Jetpack can be used to climb to new heights with relative ease.
The chestplate that supports the Jump or Jetpack is made of Duraplast plating like the Imperial Heavy Infantry Armour and has the same medical read-out combination. This tough chestplate has been slightly adjusted from the normal Imperial Heavy Infantry Soldier's Chestplate, in that its onboard computer now links with the Helmet's HUD to assist with jetpack based navigation. Offering the same protection as a standard Imperial Heavy Infantry Soldier's chestplate, the only obvious weakness of the chestplate is the Jump or Jetpack itself. Unable to reinforced to the same degree as true armour, only a handful of shots will render the pack useless. Fly with caution."

"Flamethrowers are primarily restricted to militarys of the galaxy and on occasion, police forces. Dedicated flamethrowers that are to last more than several dozen seconds of constant use require vast amounts of the liquid that is ignited that forms the flame for the weapon when fired. As such, common practise is for tanks to be strapped to the back of the Soldier's chestpiece and slight adjustments made to accommodate the change in weight. Commonly used in clearing out caves, bunkers and other internal fortified positions, Flamethrowers often kill from the smokes they cause en masse while the direct flames burn their intended victims. As such, masks with inbuilt rebreathers are required to operate such a devastating weapon on the battlefield, such as the Imperial Medium and Imperial Heavy Infantry Helmets.
The Chestplate of the Combustion trooper is notably different to the standard Imperial Heavy Infantry Armour despite still having the same medical read-out information. The thinner Duraplast plating allows for less weight to be carried directly from the chestplate to help compensate for the two tanks of liquid fire that has strapped to the back of chestplate. Attached by magnetised clamps in several places, but primarily on the back of the shoulders, the chestplate offers less manoeuvrability and less protection than its standard variant. But, without it, carrying a flamethrower is worthless."

"The Imperial Marksman Chestplate is a streamlined and sleek piece of equipment, intending to provide a Sniper or Sharpshooter with the flexibility to line up their ideal shots in less than ideal circumstances. Equipped with a Bandolier module that has an armour plate attachment, the plate is stamped with the flag of the Sith Empire and ensures that the user has a comfortable place to rest the stock of their weapon. Comparable to Medium Infantry Armour in utility, the Duraplast reinforcements of the chestplate are capable of withstanding a number of Blaster Bolts before being rendered inoperable and the chestplate has the medical readout appartus that both Imperial Medium and Heavy armours are equipped with."

"The Imperial Close Quarters Combatant Chestplate is a chestplate designed to offer a full range of motion while wielding a Vibrosword into battle. Tactically placed overlapping plates ensure that the chestpiece maintains a comparable protection to its Imperial Heavy Infantry Armour counterpart while ensuring the flexibility that such frontline soldiers require. A Bandolier houses hooks for Power Packs and Grenades alike, enabling the soldier to pickup additional ammunition and keep it ready to be used after deployed with the standard amount. The cloth covering over the right shoulder has a twofold use, both bracing the soldier against the kickback of their Scatterblaster and its armourweave nature will likewise disperse a handful of blaster bolts before being ruined."

Retrofitted to be lighter and more mobile to enable the soldier to be nimble, the chestplate houses an inbuilt medical readout that is able to remotely interface and enhance the readouts of wounded soldiers to give a clearer picture of what is wrong with the wounded to ensure a quicker healing process. Form fitting, the chestplate holds space for a number of extra adrenals and stimulants to ensure that the Combat Medic is capable of enhancing their fellow soldiers on the field if the mission gets desperate enough to warrant it."

"The imperial Demolition Specialist Chestplate is at its core the Imperial Medium Infantry Chestplate with some minor modifications and a poncho made as standard to be worn over the top. The modifications underneath the poncho are a pair of bandoliers that are designed to carry an excessive amount of either grenades or explosives, dependent on which Advanced Specialisation the Demolition Specialist takes. The toughened poncho ensures that such explosives are not exposed to the air and have some layer of protection and more importantly, ensure they are not seen by potential enemy snipers. The braced shoulder guard ensures that the weapon used by the Demolition Specialist is sufficiently braced and will not knock any of the explosives that the user has strewn across their front and back."

"The Imperial Heavy Weapons Soldier Chestplate, is a behemoth of a piece of equipment. Plated armour ontop of plated armour, such a chestpiece is the single most armoured chestplate that the Horuset Powerbase has to offer and as such, it goes for the soldiers who are capable of carrying the heaviest of loads. Capable of withstanding a number of Blaster Bolts without damaging the soldier within, though certainly still knocking them back, the chestplate is designed as the soldier's specialisation is. To be on the front line providing cover for their squadmates against a numerically superior foe or to be going toe to toe with enemy mechanised units, such as Tanks and Walkers. Both the Rocket Launcher and Blaster Assault Cannon have been retrofitted to sit easily when used with such a chestplate, while its sheer bulk will make the soldier a notable figure on any battlefield."

Spoiler: Imperial Slicer Chestplate:
"The Imperial Slicer Chestplate is a mixture of Imperial Doctrine mixed with aspects of Slicer's home territory as a rogue. Light Armour overlaid with two bandoleers, one strap houses a hook that can hold a holster or a pouch for a dataspike while the other holds a holster permanently. The cloth overlay that protects the uppermost section of the chestplate is made of armourweave, just like the body gloves used by the Sith Empire as a whole but is thinner in comparison to some other uses, only able to dissipate a pair of blaster bolts. The mechanism on the right arm of the chestplate houses the Slicer's Decryption tools and keys, which can be used to plug directly into a hostile terminal instead of a dataspike if the spike has already been used or is unneeded. Likewise, the back of the chestplate has been designed to be able to hold a Portable Terminal that can be used by the slicer to attempt to remotely gain entry into an otherwise secure system."

"The altered chest-piece of the Communications Specialist features an integrated Commlink Booster, the armour slimmed down to support the increased weight of its extra equipment. Equipped with shoulder-mounted tactical readers to act as either a range-finder or a link to a Recon Probe, it can accurately take coordinates and calculate the firing arc and power of allied weapons based on the positioning of the wearer. Mounted on the back is a more powerful comms unit that can outclass the standard comms units that Imperial soldiers are equipped with. Falling somewhere between the Medium and Heavy armour sets in terms of protection, the central torso is the most heavily armoured section though with weaker spots exposed on the arms to allow ease of interaction with equipment, though still equipped with a medical readout."

Meant to be near the front of the fighting the Imperial Coordinator has a reinforced front panel designed to not only withstand the puncturing blows of fangs and claws but also blunt trauma. The design as a whole is inspired by Mandalorian designs with rounder armour panels and a leg cover at the rear to provide coverage to the backs of the knees as it is expected the Coordinator follow where their beasts and droids go."

Commanding Officer Armours of the Imperial Military:
Spoiler: Imperial Exoskeleton:
"Exoskeletons have in various forms been a part of Galactic Warfare for centuries. Far from standard, such an expensive piece of equipment allows the soldier greater strength by adding mechanical supports to the various limbs and torso of the soldier who uses it. The amplification of the strength of the soldier is a great boon. The exoskeleton works underneath the armour plating of any of the available armours along the spine, legs and both arms. Attached to a body sleeve that acts as the under-armour, this enables the soldier to carry more equipment due to the support on their back, run faster and jump further due to the support on their legs and also have increased strength due to the support on their arms. While in no way a way to remain competitive with force sensitives, the exoskeleton enables the Commanding Officer to cleave through an enemy and shift barricades as if they were little more than minor nuisances."

Spoiler: Imperial Force Mask:
"Force Masks have clung to the edges of known space for centuries, being used by the most competent of mercenaries and personnel who have had grudges against Sith and Jedi alike. A Force Mask is capable of blunting mental attacks against the wearer. This comes in two forms, the first of which is by dulling any pain the wearer would feel coming from the mental assault and the second is by blunting other intentions of mental force based attacks. Such a mask makes it more difficult for force users to use Force Telepathy on the target effectively alongside other abilities like but not limited to Force Fear and Mind Shard. Force sensitives who wear Force Masks experience severe disorientation and dizziness, somewhat diminishing their ability to call on the force, making them not suitable for those who can wield the power of it.
The Horuset Powerbase claimed three Force Masks from a Republic Special Forces squad who had been harassing and holding the stalemate in the Northern Territories. Bringing them back to Research & Development, the masks were reverse engineered and improved on, in that the matrices and technology that makes up the mask is now able to be integrated into full face helmets. As a result of this research, all three original masks were dismantled and now the Force Mask can only be accessed as additional functionality to the helmets of Commanding Officers."

Becoming an Officer within the Sith Empire is a great honour and with it many responsibilities. The weight of the Empire rests on such shoulders and thankfully, they are reinforced. Duraplast shoulder guards and an infield bandolier ensures that even if an Officer is caught out of Infantry Armour and in their Formaly armour, they can still bring the fight to any foe that would be unwise enough to try to tackle one of the Empire's finest."
