The First Sith Empire
Korriban was of great importance to the Sith culture, Sith power and all in all, the Sith civilization. Such importance carries on to this day.
From the start, there was a bond between those who lived on Korriban and the Dark Side of the Force. The people, who took the name of Sith, fed on the Dark Side, aiming to bend it to their will and let it empower them to greater levels. However, such power was often fought over, which led to difference of opinions and no unification whatsoever. The Sith split into different tribal groups which were led by one or more Sith Sorcerers who were able to protect their tribe. Despite the ongoing civil war between the tribes, there was a form of peace and serenity among all the Sith. They did not see their acts of the Dark Side as cruelty nor barbaric but rather the true way of life.
What made a difference to the Sith was what occurred on 24 347 BTC. a man known to have unusual prophesied pigmented skin made it his goal to unify this fractured Sith planet. This man was known as Adas. Adas was a true man of power and a fierce leader who was praised and admired to the point where he rightfully claimed the title of Sith’ari, which is Overlord; and he was the first Sith Lord in Sith history. The now unified tribes of Sith were devoted to their new king and they believed that his reign would be eternal. That was their hope, at least.
King Adas held his title, seat and power for three hundred years up until Korriban was invaded by the Rakatan Infinite Empire. At first, the Rakatans showed that they could be a powerful ally as they showed their technology on how to create holocrons. Regardless of this promising new technology, King Adas was no fool. He saw the true intentions of this Infinite Empire of which the Rakatans wanted to claim full control of Korriban and drive out the Sith.
This powerful King took his battle axe, one he built through Alchemy, took his Sith in arms and made a move to throw out the Rakatans and establish the strength of the Sith to all who would bear witness. However, during his efforts, King Adas fell in battle, bringing his glorious reign to an end. The remaining Sith, infuriated with this death, made sure that the King’s death was not in vain as they stopped at nothing until it was the Sith who were victorious and still had claim over Korriban.
After the invading conflict came to an end, it was only natural for the Sith people to reignite the civil war of the past in order to determine who was fit to lead the Sith after King Adas. The civil war grew in such great length that most Sith were forced to leave Korriban and be relocated on Ziost, and those who remained on Korriban were known as religious cultists.
During this civil war, a man known as Dathka Graush went up in arms with his chosen forces and led an attack on Korriban in which the majority of the population centres were destroyed. With this appearance of power and pure force, Dathka Graush became the new king of the Sith.
Under his rule, he was able to conquer two-thirds of Korriban, but his methods were considered too cruel and brutal even by Sith standards. His rule was unstable to the point that this new king was assassinated by his own people. Once again, the race to become the next king was in full force.
The next to take the mantle of king was Hakagram Graush, a member of the Sith Purebloods and held the same name as the previous king. At the moment, there is not a lot known about this king’s rule and how he truly claimed the title, but regardless, his reign was fairly short. It was at the time that the Dark Jedi Exiles arrived on Korriban.
At first, King Graush did not see the need to cast the Exiles out, despite the Exiles seeking to gain the knowledge of the Sith., but this trust was his downfall. It was the combined efforts of the Exiles and the King’s Shadow Hand, someone who is second in command, that lured the King into a trap where he was beheaded, and in his placed rose Ajunta Pall who let the name of Sith’ari die like those who held that title, and with it came the title of Jen’ari, the Dark Lord of the Sith.
