Mission Report – Orsus I - Leviathan Assignment

Mission Team:

Sergeant Trisdane (Jumptrooper) - Squad Lead
Specialist Mays (CQC)
Specialist Rennab (Demolitions)
Specialist Kienix (Imperial Coordinator)
Private Drak'Far (Specialist Trial - Marksman)

Mission brief:

Liaise with Agent Aliur on Orsus and formulate a plan to rescue Agent Frali from the rebels that had captured her. Intelligence suggested 10-15 hostiles with Frali kept on the upper floor, the leader of the rebels was an unknown Twi'lek, so all Twi'lek were to be taken alive. Private Drak'Far's objective was to identify Twi'lek and subdue them with non-lethal shots.

A plan was formulated to fake a negotiation, getting the Strike team close to the warehouse where Frali was held. Rennab, Kienix and Drak'Far would breach from the lower level whilst myself and Mays breached through the skylight to secure the target.

Detailed Report:

We approached the warehouse without resistance but we came under sniper fire the moment Rennab activated his breach charges. Grenades were thrown into the opening on both the ground floor and skylight but the first grenades were disrupted by an unknown element, which will be discussed at the end of this report. See - Additional Observations.

The second grenades were deployed without interference and both teams inserted with force. The hostiles on the upper balcony were quickly dispatched by myself and Specialist Mays whilst Rennab's team encountered some resistance.

With the balcony cleared, and the objective sighted in the upper room, we focused fire on hostiles below to ease the insertion on the ground floor level.

A smoke was deployed in the room with Agent Frali so, using thermals, all three individuals within the room were stunned as identification of each was made significantly harder.

Specialist Rennab's team cleared the ground floor, moving towards the ramp. Unfortunately, a rebel had concealed themselves out of view of us all and emerged with their scatterblaster. The following shot dealt significant damage to Specialist Rennab and left him in a critical condition.

With the warehouse cleared we gathered all Twi'lek captives and moved to the room where Agent Frali was held, revealing a displaced table and sewer entrance. Specialist Mays and Private Drak'far helped with the extraction of all Twi'lek prisoners and the two agents whilst myself and Specialist Kienix investigated the anomaly mentioned earlier.

Additional Observations:

Two devices were recovered and turned into the Quartermaster. It was a small, magnetic, device protected by a small personal shield. It contains four motion sensors and one small turret that enabled it to rapidly identify projectiles and disable them. A highly viscous liquid was fired at the grenades, entirely enveloping them, and rendering them ineffective. The device needed to recharge, allowing secondary grenades to pass through.

Injuries:

Specialist Rennab - Close quarter scattershot fire. Two days recovery.

Commendations:

Private Drak'far received my written commendation as an NCO and was thusly promoted to Specialist.

Specialist Rennab - Purple Heart I - I recommend that Specialist Rennab is issued with the Purple Heart medal for receiving injuries, a partially collapsed lung, in the field of duty.

Mission Report – Orsus I - Supply Raid

Mission Team:

Sergeant Trisdane (Jumptrooper) - Squad Lead, Fireteam Aurek Lead
Private Chalare (Specialist Trial - CQC) - Fireteam Aurek
Private Sixtus - Fireteam Aurek

Specialist Mays (CQC) - Fireteam Besh, Leadership Trial
Specialist Kienix (Coordinator)
Specialist Drak'Far (Marksman)

Mission brief:

Intel was provided by Agents Aliur and Frali of a rebel supply convoy moving between compounds. The intel was provided as a thanks for Leviathan's assistance, allowing us to seize whatever the convoy carried for the Horuset Powerbase.

The abandoned settlement provided the perfect setting for an ambush, a road moving between two elevated positions on either side with buildings and ample cover. Fireteams Aurek and Besh set up on either side of the road.

Detailed Report:

With the Fireteams divided and deployed we waited until given the mark to initiate the ambush. Specialist Kienix showed good initiative in deploying his mouse droid to provide advanced intel on the convoy. Three hover loaders, two loaded with crates and the first covered in a tarp - a troop transport.

The order to fire was given once all three transports entered the designated 'kill zone'. Specialist Drak'Far utilised his marksman rifle to pick off the front drivers whilst I rapidly deployed via jetpack to eliminate the rear driver and passenger. Specialists Mays and Kienix deployed from the flank, suppressing the centre of the column and Privates Chalare and Sixtus deployed from the opposite flank. Trapping the convoy in a pincer movement.

The convoy was caught off-guard and the soldiers who deployed from the transport were rapidly eliminated, it was over in a matter of seconds.

Injuries:

No notable injuries were sustained, Private Sixtus received some minor damage to their cybernetic arm.

Assets Gained:

1x hover loader, troop transport configuration
1x hover loader, loaded with crates of weapons, munitions and ordnance
1x hover loader, loaded with crates of food, medical and stims supplies
15x recovered blaster rifles
15x recovered blaster pistols

All assets have been turned over to the Quartermaster Division for inspection and re-distribution.

Commendations:

Specialist Mays performed well as a Squad Lead, showing an ability to adapt in the field and an improvement from his last leadership Trial. I consider this Trial to be a success.

Private Chalare showed confidence and a willingness to engage in close quarters combat. I considered her Specialist Trial to be a success and promoted her to Specialist accordingly.

Commendation Recommendations:

Specialist Mays - Having already issued Mays with my own written commendation I recommend that Major Koren considers providing his own, if he finds my report to be sufficient, and promotes the soldier to the rank of Corporal if he deems him capable of the position and responsibility.

Specialist Kienix - Special Service Medal I - Specialist Kienix has, yet again, shown a good initiative as an Imperial Coordinator. Utilising his mouse droid to provide advanced intel in the field and improve the deployment's likelihood of success.

Sergeant Trisdane - Authoritative Commander Medal II - Tonight's mission was the third mission I have led with no disobedience or injuries. Ensign Rees, prior to her departure, wished to see multiple instances of this before awarding the medal as the missions have been of a smaller nature - as was tonight's.

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
