House Horuset; The Truth

#1
[Image: nxHWbeT.jpg]

Horuset Family Backstory

Introduction

An ancient and prestigious house, the Horusets have a wealth of assets under their control. Unlike smaller power bases, not only does its list of resources not only includes it’s leader’s personal collection, but also those of his siblings, children and underlings. The Horusets have been an established power in the spheres of the Sith, and have acquired a vast number of men, ships, facilities, estates and temples. Its children are of the best breed, pure Sith, who can trace their lineage back to the ancient Kissai, and have themselves expanded this powerbase by no small margin.

Name Timeline
Chul Followed Vitiate to Dromund Kaas from Korriban
Caadu Became a follower of Ikoral, was among the first established Sith in the new Empire.
Chaidus Trained by his father; Started rebuilding the Horuset powerbase, made the foundation on which we are building today.
Crannus The former patriarch.
AhandraThe current Matriarch and Dark Lord of the Horuset Powerbase. Through her will, the Powerbase will prosper once more.

*From a dark red, triangular Holocron, twisted with dark side energies alongside looming, lingering voices would erupt the figure of a hooded Sith Pureblood. Tendrils curl down from his chin with a deep and tumultuous storm of red staring out from beneath the darkness of the hood. He’d speak; his tone of voice more alike the roar of the ocean against a seafront than a soothing breeze. With hands displayed in front of him like a priest, the reddened skin visible just past the wizard-like sleeves that adorn his arms, he begins:*

“These are the Horuset records as told by Krassus Vexal Horuset, in service of Darth Crannus Horuset, the *There would be some form of static* former patriarch of the Horuset House.

To be a Horuset is not learnt; it is forged and birthed through sheer pressure like the strongest crystals or the purest diamonds in the known galaxy. Indeed… Purity is what defines the Horuset family, as all the houses of old die around them the Horuset line remains a bastion of traditionalism in a timeline of heresy.

The Horusets can trace their legacy as far back as before the Dark Jedi and the time of King Adas. The word Horuset first arose in prominent light around the time that Ajunta Pall and his ilk descended upon the Sith Homeworld of Korriban; their name translated from the Ancient Sith word for the star system their homeworld inhabited. After the Dark Jedi spread their use of Lightsabers and the secrets they had stolen from their core world sanctuary, the Horuset sect of the Kissai became one of the first to bond themselves with the Human Dark Jedi to create the Pureblooded Race of Sith as the true inheritors of the Galaxies power.

As time progressed, Sith Lords like Tulak Hord and Marka Ragnos rose and fell before the wake of power. The Horuset name fluctuated for its prowess in the force and Sith Alchemy, crafting brilliant amulets out of the fire of the Dark Side; twisting everything to their dark will like a puppet master pulling on the strings. Eventually, the Horusets sided with the Sith Lord Ludo Kresh, supporting his lineage as a true Pureblood worthy of inheriting Ragnos’ titel as Dark Lord of our kind. The Patriarch of the family at the time was Chul of Horuset, a mighty sorcerer who ameliorated the Kissai blood that pumped within his family’s veins. He had risen as the third son of his father, crushing his siblings to become the strongest Horuset. When Kresh finally challenged Naga Sadow to a fateful duel to decide who would become the Dark Lord and then lost, the Horusets found the favour they had garnered disappeared overnight. Eager to prove his worth once more to the new ruler, Chul was one of the first to pledge his forces publically to Naga Sadow. However, in the Shadows, Chul began to follow the dissent of unplanned war against a Republic they barely knew anything about.

Eventually, Sadow brought ruin to his empire; for which he’ll always be remembered as a failure. With his forward thinking mind, Chul followed the Pureblood Lord Vitiate to the old Sith World of Dromund Kaas where the latter ascended as the Emperor of the Sith Empire. Charged with creating a new world order, Chul eventually was granted a prestigious spot in central Kaas City to erect the Horuset spire from which he’d base his operations.

At this time, Chul took a wife known as Rilsetsa who hailed from the noble family of [kraujas]. Together, they birthed many children but the most notable of all was Caadu Soti Horuset. Caadu was born a true traditionlist and he invoked it in his entire being. No human, no alien; nothing beyond a Sith with features of his own was worthy of being called it. He was a powerful, pragmatic Sith who ruled as Patriarch with an iron fist. When the time came, Caadu replaced his father like Chul had replaced his father before him. A flash of lightsabers and a twist of destiny - Chul lay dead before him and in his stead stood Darth Caadu Horuset. This is the eventuality of all Patriarchs and Matriarchs of the family for only the strong beget the strong and the stronger still cull the weak.

Under Caadu’s meticulous scrutiny, the Horuset name expanded out of Dromund Kaas in the leading century before the Empire’s return to the known galaxy. His agents had spread far and wide across the systems; Ziost, Dromund Kaas, Dromund Fels, Begeren… Caadu had a reach that allowed him to fuel the Horuset’s resurgence.
During this time, the Horuset family refused to allow even Humans a leading role in his powerbase, referring only to his pure blooded family or other Pure Lords who summoned to his way of thinking. In this light, Caadu became a follower of Darth Ikoral setting the stone and law for his family for the future generations.

Eventually the Empire returned and reconquered Korriban as well as most of the galaxy. The storm the ensued was cataclysmic, the Dark Side swelled within the Sith Ranks. At this time, Caadu’s eldest son Chaidus rose to prominence in during the fighting. I was born soon after as the second son. Whilst truly his father’s son, Chaidus would eventually cede his fathers reputation through his sheer strength of will and fighting capabilities. Eventually, the Cold War was set in stone at the treaty of Coruscant and a vague peace washed over the Galaxy. Caadu decided to ameliorate his son’s career by sending Chaidus off to experience the full throttle of all skirmishes, resolving with the Sith meeting and speaking with all manners of life. Eventually, Chaidus returned to Sith Space a conqueror in his own right and powerful with the Dark Side. Seeing Caadu as unchanging, Chaidus eventually goaded his aging father into a battle the arrogant older Sith had not expected, felling the patriarch to take the mantle of for himself. For his actions and his ability, Chaidus was recognised by others as a Darth and become the first Dark Lord of the family.

Now, before this moment in history whilst the galactic war continued, a few of the contemporary relevant Horusets were born: to Crannus and his wife,  Ahandra - the holomessage shudders, Krassus’ form shimmers as if something had simply been removed at this point - and Cautus whilst to Creiia and her husband, Vaenra, Cadeus and Arycus. More about them in their own holo-profiles.

At this time, Chaidus decided to join what was called the Isatri Triumvirate. An order of Sith dedicated towards the support of the empire, the Isatri Triumvirate was a small powerbase when Chaidus joined it’s ranks with his own powerbase. Chaidus with his few followers helped the Isatri to grow in immense power, they became a powerbase to be reckoned with in little time at all. Now, during his time Chaidus took a slightly different stance to his father on the use of non-purebloods within his ranks. Eventually, Chaidus became severely unhappy with the state of the Isatri in relation to how he felt the Empire should be. He eventually staged a coup with the help of his apprentice Krattus, and with that coup was made a member of the Isatri Council, from that point changing the direction of the order completely. Ruling with an Iron Fist, Chaidus decided to focus completely on his control over the multitude of forces in the Triumvirate by leaving the control of the direct Horuset powerbase in the hands of his eldest child Crannus and his sister Creiia to support him. As Crannus and Creiia was in control of the Horuset powerbase Chaidus was building the traditionalist up within the Isatri Triumvirate. As time passed, this faction began to have friction with the non traditionalist faction within the Isatri and it ended with Chaidus and Darth Verdoorn’s powerbases clashing head to head. As the new ways of the sith was more prominent than the old ways within the Isatri, Chaidus ended up losing this fight  against the Verdoornites, who came to the temple of the Isatri ready to kill Chaidus.

But this was robbed of them as the so called leader of the Isatri killed Chaidus before Darth Verdoorn and her allies could. Chaidus died as a proud pureblood should at the hands of another pureblooded Sith.

With the void left by the death of Chaidus. The leader of the Isatri would join forces with the now Darth Krayiss, seeking out Crannus at the Horuset spire to plead with him to return and take his fathers place as the ruling body of not only the Horuset powerbase, but all his fathers assets within the Isatri. Crannus did not respond well to this, he had known Darth Krayiss for a long time, but not the leader of the Isatri and out of anger he struck  at the female pureblood with the back of his hand, yet Darth Krayiss stepped in and a fight would erupt between the two former apprentices of Chaidus. The fight ended in a stalemate, with neither side offering any weakness. Crannus would take his fathers seat in the Isatri with the condition that Darth Krayiss would have a seat aswell to bolster the old ways, and diminish Sylfias power within the Isatri, achieving that which his father could not. With the help of Darth Krayiss and those followers that joined Crannus, all but Creiia, they would become one of the most powerful factions within the Isatri, more so than that of Chaidus.

But over time the Isatri became more and more weak with the leadership of Zaria becoming diminished and Sylfia and her followers would end up having the more power within the Isatri. In this moment of time Crannus alongside Darth Krayiss would take all their followers and assets and leave the Isatri.

*Krassus opens his hands in a welcoming gesture before speaking once more*

Thus we arrive at current affairs. With Crannus Horuset who looked after the Horuset powerbase as a whole, a few of the Horuset blood found themselves within what was known as the Azure Academy under the direction of Darth Verdoorn, one of whom was responsible for the death of Chaidus.

Angered by the blatant murder of her grandfather, Ahandra, *There would be some static* now Darth Horuset, had gained a new purpose that boiled her blood to the point of anarchy. *Static* Darth Horuset had declared an end to the heretical killing of her own blood and followed the killer of Chaidus, his former ally and friend Darth Zaria. After days searching, *Static* Darth Horuset found, confronted and destroyed each and every of the treacherous’ Darth’s assets, the two adversaries finally faced one another inside the majestic Horuset tomb on Korriban. With only two options offered to the vengeful *Static* Darth Horuset, defeat Darth Zaria or die, the child of Crannus offered no mercy. Sabers clashed, gravestones splintered, lighting flashed, yet as the dust settled upon the tomb’s vast plain *Static* Darth Horuset emerged victorious. Darth Zaria, now defeated, humiliated and squashed under the statue of *Static*
Ahandra's very mother, had faded into nothingness alongside her ruined powerbase. Chaidus’ death had been avenged and Darth Horuset took Zaria’s left hand which she avidly presented to Crannus, the *Static* former Darth Horuset.

At that very moment, the House was whole once again. Tragic losses had been suffered, but the future seemed bright now that father and daughter were united and working towards the same goal.

The goal was clear, father and daughter were in agreement: After they had witnessed the murder on one of the most prominent traditionalists of their age at the hands of progressive grey Sith, they knew traditionalism and the purity of their race had to be protected at all costs. The Houses had to be united in a coalition under the Horuset banner to protect the ways of the Sith, and to stand strong against all who would oppose that worthy cause.

The first step was to reach out to other great Houses. *Static*Darth Ahandra Horuset had taken the first step by taking a young Sith with potential under her wing; Yutal Vipion, heir of the great Vipion bloodline. A deal was struck with Darth Coduno Vipion, and so they became the first house to ally to the Horusets.

Over time, the House it’s fame grew once more. The word spread like wildfire: Traditionalism was not dead, it would never be, and now it had a new champion. From all over the Sith Empire, acolytes from prominent Sith families flocked to the Horuset banner, swelling the ranks. It became a vocal point for all who were disgruntled with the path the Empire had taken in the past decade. The new wave of acolytes brought us a new generation."

*Krassus’ frame bowed deeply before his image suddenly faded from viewpoint. After a few moments, a new image popped up. Much smaller and dainty in appearance, the *Static* former Echani Lorekeeper of House Horuset appeared. Her eyes white to indicate her blindness, she offered a bow herself.*

“I am Jadie Priaa, *Static* former lorekeeper of House Horuset.

With time the House of Horuset flourished into an array of traditionalism. The Sith under its banner were strong representations of their pure blood and willingness to survive in a pool of progressiveness.

Under the totalitarian rule of *Static* former Darth Horuset, more sith were churned out. It was at this time that *Static* Darth Ahandra Horuset was engaged to Zarrious, who later was exiled for his heresy. In this exchange, a ship was given to the Horusets called “Th’Asidra” or “The Purger” in basic. This served and still continues to serve as the Horuset flagship.

The marriage was eventually broken off due to the Exile of Zarrious. Turning to the closest allies of traditionalism besides themselves, *Static* Darth Horuset became betrothed to Lord Tokiai, the ascended Yutal Vipion. This would unite the two families together as a bastion of traditionalism.

Following this, *Static* the former Darth Horuset began the third war on heresy finally putting an end to the disgusting Arious Empire for good within the space of four battles. Heralded beyond that which even forefathers could achieve, *Static* former Darth Horuset put a nail in the coffin of the last breakaway Empire faction. A few months onwards, *Static* the former Darth Horuset vassalised the recently arisen House Kalkoran who’s patriarch was his apprentice.

Eventually, *Static* the former Darth Horuset decided to retreat into his own seclusion to perform ancient rites and mystic rituals for the expansion of his own strength and therefore traditionalism itself. Left in charge, a triumvirate formed from the united houses of Horuset, Vipion and Kalkoran became the leaders of the Horuset powerbase to keep matters at hand and secure.

Such is the current history of the Pure Sith House of Horuset.”

*The Echani Lorekeeper bows for but a moment before the holoprojector shuts off the file.*

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
