Public Call for Operation Team Assembly:
Their Final Frontier

*The image of the large Assistant Immortus came to life, the shades of blue lost on him. His eyes however would show like the white hot embers of a spectre. His expression is neutral as if unbothered by anything at all. Wearing his white lab coat with an array of medical devices, syringes, and packs fitted in various locations for ease of access. One might not identify him as an apprentice at all if not for the slender lightsaber hanging from his hip.*

"Our transition to the northern territories has presented us with many unique opportunities to advance the war effort. One such opportunity must be capitalized on with haste.

Republic astrogation survey teams have been attempting to explore the partially surveyed hyperlanes within the territories.

Your mission is to intercept one of these teams in the Dravin system on a planet known as Dravik. The terrain on Dravik is quite… dramatic. Tall mountains, with deep valleys filled with toxic fog. In order to complete their physical survey they will be forced to land in one of these valleys. They have been led to believe a certain ravine holds a large deposit of minerals valuable to the republic war effort.
Your team will await the Scout ship, sneak aboard, and seize her. Be sure to disable long range communications before you engage the survey team. Do try not to further damage the vessel in the process."

"The team will likely consist of seven individuals. Three to crew the ship itself, two scientists, and a jedi escort… Presumably master and apprentice. For this reason, only those with skills in dampening and, or, use of stealth generators need apply to join the strike team.

It is unlikely you will encounter any natives of the planet, but if you do… leave no witnesses.

Also keep in mind, unless one of you can pilot the ship yourself, you need to keep at least one of the crew alive to fly it home for you. There will be no extraction shuttle. Call it… extra motivation to succeed.”

*A sinister grin would appear on the Chiss’ face and with that the holo transmission would abruptly cease.*

Mission report:
Their Final Frontier

Participating Apprentices:
Daxze Trihza
Esme Roi
Vayek Vipion
Illodraen
Syllel

Report:
We approached the vessel under the cover of a thick fog. Apprentice Syllel startled a droid and I, Daxze Trihza, destroyed it immediately. I issued my orders: For Apprentice Vipion to approach in stealth to disable the Long range comms and disable the crew of the shuttle. Apprentice Illodraen and Syllel were to back me up in my attempt to distract the Jedi present. I tried to lure the Jedi away, so Apprentice Vipion could sneak on board. However, as it befits new Apprentices, they did not have the foresight of luring the Jedi away. The fault lies with me for believing they could act on their own. I kept my distance and eventually distracted the Jedi long enough for Apprentice Vipion to overtake the Shuttle and secure it. A battle ensued. Apprentice Illodraen failed to finish off the Padawan, she escaped. Acolyte Syllel got greatly wounded by the Jedi Master. I finished him off myself in single combat and he dissolved into the Force before my eyes.

Mission success, all subgoals met. Apprentice Vipion flew us and the shuttle back.

TO: Sith Leive, Sith Tenacitious

FROM: Apprentice Syllel

SUBJECT: After Action Report, Operation: Their Final Frontier

INTRODUCTION:

Mission Status: Partial Success

The scout ship was retrieved without issue and the crew was dispersed by Apprentice Vayek, however both Jedi guarding the ship have fled.

Summary:

The following is regarding the incident itself.

Deployed Location: Planet Dravik

Deployed Personnel: Apprentice Trihza (Led) Apprentices Syllel, Illodraen, and Vayek

Duration of Deployment: [14-10-22]

Details of Operation:

The team arrived on planet Dravik and headed towards the canyon. We were obscured by deep fog and each member dampened their presence, to ensure the jedi did not discover our presence. Once we found the canyon and the ship a beeping alerted me to a probe droid that was about to discover the group. I successful captured the probe droid and sought to turn it off via the power button, however apprentice Trihza had a more expedient measure: Dropping her dampening to rend the droid.

This maneuver cost us the element of surprise however she quickly capitalized in it, volunteering herself as a distraction to engage the jedi. Apprentice Vayek was ordered to sneak around and into the shuttle while Apprentice Illodraen and Myself were ordered to support. Upon making our way down the cliffside we found a weequay jedi and his apprentice, a twi'lek female. We engaged them in combat, however their teamwork was impeccable and they were able to repulse Apprentice Trizha through the force.

Seeing as a solo assault wouldn't suffice Apprentice Trihza ordered us to attack before utilizing some sort of force power that blinded the combatants, with some unfortunate spillover. Still it bought Apprentice Illodraen and myself time to flank them . I deployed a mental assault while Illodraen used the force and together the three of us were able to overwhelm the jedi's defenses.

This tactic allowed Vayek to get inside the shuttle right before it took off and he was able to not only seal the jedi out of their escape but commandeer the vessel. It was, admittedly, an excellent bit of foresight on his regard to seal the door before moving deeper in and he was able to pull the shuttle away from a collision course and save the ship from catastrophic damage, thus protecting the asset from what would have surely been a mortal blow and reducing it to mere cosmetic damage. The quick thinking and reaction should be commended.

During this time Apprentice Illodraen engaged the Twi'lek apprentice and Apprentice Trizha and I engaged the jedi. They put up a good fight, fist injuring me to a cut on my arm before fending off Apprentice Trizha. As I made to attack the jedi from behind, however, a fireball erupted. The exact cause is unknown but it appeared to originate from Apprentice Trizha. The jedi defected this with some unknown force power while I was burned. In the scuffle I did, however, manage to score a blow against the jedi's back and they disengaged. Leaving behind a lightsaber and vanishing, quite literally, without a trace almost the moment after my weapon connected.

Thusly while the asset was secured and we were able to pilot it back to the estate. Unfortunately, however, both jedi escaped our custody and we were forced to make for the shuttle before any pursuit could be organized. Thusly, while there were witnesses I would still classify this as a partial success as the jedi will take some time to return to the republic.

Comments:

- The survey equipment was disregarded. Perhaps it is still available to be collected as potential assets for the house's logistics branch for geological surveys?

- Apprentice Trizha, while obviously new to command, did a commendable job in leading the team, keeping an eye on our primary objective as well as the threat two jedi faced when she bravely volunteered to engage them first.

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
