Introduction:
A Thought Shield is, in essence, that provides protection to the thoughts of the user by filling the mind of a singular thought or image. This protects the user from being probed and hides the thoughts and intentions from the reach of others. It does not from the pain of certain mental attacks. It does, however, make the user’s thoughts far harder to read, and improves the capability of concentration to remain focused.
Theory and Practice:
To conjure a Thought Shield is to reach into the mind, and ensure that the user’s thoughts are properly protected, one must find an image, sound, or smell, or memory to serve as the aforementioned Shield. From here, the user’s upper thoughts can be completely filled with this singular shard of the mind, allowing the deeper, more internal thoughts to be hidden from view and to be acted on still.
Care should be taken, however, to ensure that the thought selected to serve as a Thought Shield is incorruptible; it should be known by the user to such a degree that any change can be recognised and exterminated. To change a Thought Shield is to get around it; although one can, of course, attempt to break through it with brute mental force.
