The Sith Code, despite being at its core a twisted version of the Jedi Code (though not actually so as its creator, Sorzus Syn, a Jedi Exile, wrote it to highlight how the code they based themselves on was doomed to fail due to its many faults), is actually a lesson of life that can be applied to everything... War and Politics as well.
War
There is truly no Peace as it is but a lie for the weak to sleep safe at night. Peace is but a tool of war, for it actually is a period in which one simply readies themselves to fight, to wage war. In moments of Peace those smart enough instead load their weapons, increase their army numbers, develop new ways of destroying its enemies. Peace is nothing but a sweet poison to inject into the weak foolish enough to trust it to protect themselves as it will slowly lead them to the most atrocious of deaths.
Not only, but there is only Passion indeed, for we're pushed to disregard Peace altogether to satisfy our needs and our needs only, taking advantage of anything as long as it benefits us, driven by greed, hatred, anger and much more. War is both a way to feed our passions and to gain more.
Politics
Peace in Politics could be simply put as the moment where, apparently, all the politicians agree onto something for, in their schemes, all gain something from such. It is a moment where there is cohesion purely dictated by the personal agendas simply shaking hands with one another as they do not clash. But alas, it won't last long, that because such moment of cohesion is destined to break the moment one or more smell the opportunity in changing road for they shall gain from doing such, even at the expenses of the others involved.
Politics is a dangerous pool full of sharks that wish for nothing but to advance their personal agendas and gain more power in a different method that involves the use of a silver, forked tongue and no flashy actions- on the contrary… the subtler, the better.
There is no such peace in a pool full of sharks, but merely predators awaiting for the best time to strike down their prey and devour it to sustain themselves further. That is what passion is, to stop before nothing for the most driven by whatever emotion will survive and prevail.

When one is determined, there is nothing that can stop him. When one Faction has reasons to strive and defeat all the others, said reasons become strength, and the strongest faction wins in the game. Others fall under its boot for their drive is lacking and comes too late to ensure their survival.
To be determined is to have something more than others, something that in a battle counts much more- for even close to death one might give its last breath to cause enough more murder and mayhem to change the tides of a battle- while the weak uses his last dying breath to mutter words which will be forgotten in time such as his ashes.
Politics
Again, when one is determined, there is nothing that can stop him. This applies the same to a Politician who, to advance his own agenda, will look in no one's face and simply toss everyone that is on his path aside or underneath, because that is the truth. The determined, the strong-willed, the passionate... are also the strongest, and we know by rule of life that the Strong win over the Weak.
