[DELETED] Black Ops: Briefing and Introduction

#1

---- Transmission On ----

*The following data would be encrypted, but, once the user entered valid security credentials and clearance codes the information would begin to flicker on the terminal. Most of the information would now be visible, bar certain links still hidden by security protocol.*

“This is General Bastion, recent times and the approval of high command have made me dwell on approving this, nonetheless, Henceforth, Protocol twelve is in place, Soldiers from any specialised unit under my command who prove their worth and has their service record to prove it will be rooted out and placed into The Special Operations program or commonly known as Black Ops for selection process.

This unit will answer to no one but the Concervancy of the Powerbase and High command itself. Insuring its covert capability...all data classified or dangerous has been redacted from all previous Special response and Tactics members such as Ensign Itius and Major Koren, access will be restricted and prohibited to access to even myself.

These times are Dangerous, the Galaxy is dangerous, I can not ask Imperials to carry out operations they can not complete, operations they are not trained for. To ensure the success of the operations we carry out and assist with, it is imperative this Unit be at full combat readiness and capability. To be trained in all environments from the brothels on backwater disease ridden planets to casinos on the smuggler's moon, to do any task using any means at their disposal. To go where our Forces can not. To gather intelligence in enemy territory. These are scenarios that can not be solved with a better solution.

Due to the veterans of the SRAT unit they’ve already proven their worth and have been pre-selected to be the foundation of the Special Operations unit. Attached to this report is a detailed of the three main candidates, one has already been put forth to acquire the leadership mantel of this unit. As for the other candidates they are also eligible for the leadership in their own right but my choice has been made due to the previous display of his leadership skills.
The Training regime, entry requirements and Equipment at their disposal has been displayed below and has been done by Captain Igneel under my instruction. Tryouts and training is under the directory of  Major Koren and he has full jurisdiction over the equipment, training environment and pass marks of this program. The Unit could use some more experience at the spearhead of this project.”

*The file would then continue, highlighting the entry requirements that any potential candidate must meet - and thus those capable of reading this (as members of the Imperial military) should already had achieved.*

  1. The Candidate must do a mandatory of two years service on active tours or be exceptional and recognised in combat.
  2. The candidate must manage one hour of various stress positions with a fifteen minute break halfway through, three times a week during the selection process.
  3. The candidate must manage a 65 km hike, going into the Dromund Kaas jungle in full combat gear, ensuring the candidate has at least 25kg extra on them at all times, which must be completed within a single Dromund Kaas day during selection.
  4. At the end of the hike, the candidates will undergo the basics of surviving and patrolling in the harsh conditions within the jungle. Once this has been reviewed they must survive within the Dromund Kaas jungle for at least one day and night cycle using only their wits and the basic equipment provided to them. (This will require the helmet/body cam on at all times, if video evidence is not provided the candidate must redo the whole of the practical side of step three and then step four.)
  5. All candidates -must- go through the Tactical Questioning (TQ) test. (This will be primarily be supervised by Captain Igneel). Afterwards they will be liable to be subjected to this at any point in time. The aforementioned stress position training will be taken into account and would benefit the candidate greatly. If the candidate cannot pass this then they will instantly fail, there is no other work-around.

*Scrolling on the file would proceed to provide a table outlining all current members of the Black Ops unit as well as other specific information about them.

*Finally the file outlined the basic training regime to be followed and carried by all members in this Black Ops unit, including weapons to become familiar with and other equipment you are required to be proficient with.*

Physical Training Routine:
  • Pushups, full body: Minimum number is 42 in 2 minutes, but you should aim for at least 100 for an average. (Rest 2 minutes before moving onto the next exercise)
  • Situps, standard: Minimum number is 52 in 2 minutes, but you should strive for at least 100 in 2 minutes for an average.
  • Pullups, chin above bar: The minimum is eight pull-ups with no time limit, but you cannot touch the ground or let go of the bar.
  • Swim 15m with full combat gear, without a backpack
  • Hike 25km in full combat gear, with a 29kg backpack
  • Stress position posture at the beginning of every week (See Captain Igneel for further information on different variations)
  • Regular use of standard gym equipment, finding your own routine with them is strongly advised and encouraged.

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
