Blind beginnings - Backstory of Charsette Onakke.

A troubled family.

Upon the world of Rorak 4, gladiators and Hutts would rule supreme within one of the many cities. The rich residents of this city would partake in the delicacies of the arena, where the poor went to gain glory and riches.
Many would triumph and many would fall, one of  them however was a popular Echani warrior, he would go to triumph over many gladiators and gain all that he ever wished for. To his unfortunate fate however, he would begin to grow old in his late years and find himself kicked out, returning to the bottom of the social hierarchy once more as a no one.
The Echani was infuriated to say the least and in his loneliness he would think of a plan to raise his own gladiator and thus with a bit of luck he would find the perfect candidate. A miraluka woman, under the servitude of the rich as a cleaning lady. Their first meeting would not spark any romance but ambition for a better life, neither of them wanted to live in such misery after all. Thus they would agree to marry and start a family, eventually a Echani child would be born with the misfortune of being an imperfect breed, he would have a terrible eyesight which later on would be replaced with cybernetic eyes, this Echani boy would go under the name of Zedha.
Zedha would be trained as a warrior like his father who was slightly disappointed by his creation, the old Echani would give him rough and strict training as a result of that. Little sleep, many punishments and more training. Zedha’s Miraluka mother who promised herself to remain indifferent simply could not help it, she grew close with Zedha and even defended him from the old Echani. One day however Zedha would simply run away, as he knew he was destined for more than to serve as a tool to a tyrant, hiding in a cargo ship.
Such an act greatly infuriated his father who had spent a long time raising a warrior, though it granted the mother a sense of hidden relief. The father however did not give up and eventually convinced his wife to have another child with him, only realizing her mistake too late as Charsette was born nine months later.
The Echani father was disappointed with having Charsette turn out to be a girl, unlike the mother who appeared to have grown a softer heart towards being a mother. Yet she knew the dangers it posed for Charsette to stay on this accursed planet. And thus one day she would offer Charsette to a traveling slaver, begging for the slaver to take her, which he did as there was no bad deal as a free one.
Eventually the slaver packed his ship and left as per the Hutt’s orders to train more batches of slaves. Thus the blind journey began.

A slave's life.

The young Miraluka was taken into the nursery aboard the ship, placed into a cradle amongst other infants, (some wondering why the girl had no eyes and if she would even make for a good slave), which the slaver seemed to have purchased from world to world. Yet the ship also held a great deal of grown slaves, some of them were even those that took care of the nursery and managed the ship.

Thankfully to the slaver, he only traveled through Hutt hyperlanes and himself working for the Hutts, he would be safe from Republic or other laws against slavery. Eventually the vessel would arrive to an unknown frozen world where something akin to a mansion appeared to stand tall and proud. It was there that the young Miraluka and the rest of the passengers would begin their training.

The halls of this mansion were clean with pillars of marble, green carpets with golden accents (So were the curtains that covered the windows.) The slaver was not the typical backwater grunt walking with a whip and cracking it every five seconds, but a sophisticated old human who knew the value of a well trained slave and apparently had a reputation to keep based on his income.
The mansion also had kitchens, well kept sleeping rooms for guests and those that he trained, playing and study rooms for the children and of course a place of punishment for though he is a kind master, disobedience was not tolerated well.

Most that arrived there were simply impressed by the high standing of the place and simply thought that this life could not be as bad, of course they would still be sold in the end. Others naturally rebelled, though were dealt quickly by the master.

Charsette would be raised under the mansion alongside her peers, she was a timid girl who did not wish to cause or bring herself trouble though she would love to play with the other kids. In time of course her behavior would change as her place in the galaxy became more apparent through scholarly studies in the study rooms and lessons under the designated overseers that the master trained personally. Though the Miraluka was young she understood where her place laid and as years passed by, she would have become part of a successful batch of slaves. Learning to cook properly, tidy rooms, prepare tables, read and write, she would have gained enough prestige in her time to be auctioned off to an Imperial Officer who needed a servant for his office.

My shining star.

Charsette was fifteen at the time of her auction, yet she had the necessary skills to do her duties as a house-keeping slave.
The Imperial Officer who was stationed on Ziost would take the Miraluka to his office where her duties were simple and explained well, at a time of rest she would be allowed small sleeping quarters, enough space to ready herself for the day.
The officer did not mind the alien much, in his mind if one did their job and did it well, they were of good service to the Empire. Yet the man's temper was not of the greatest and would often shout at the Miraluka when his job would anger him or if she would do her job poorly (From his perspective), serving as an outlet, still he wouldn't strike child.

Charsette did not seem to mind her new life, though the world would whisper to her through the force, nothing more than nightmares from the dark side corrupted world. Such nightmares whispered into her mind, causing the girl to wake up at night and scream in fear as there was nothing around.

Many rotations would pass as the girl grew accustomed to the yelling, her master and her duties.
Upon one fortunate day however, the Officer who sat behind his desk and waited for his food to be done a visitor would come. A man in dark robes and dark duraplast armor would come, he had red metal eyes and pale skin, in little to no time the Neophyte would drag the Miraluka out, not letting her see the Officer again. For Charsette things happened too fast for her to knew what had happened, like a blur, yet she did as she was told and followed the man to his home on Dromund Kaas.

Through the journey, it was complete silence, yet the pale man kept gazing at her more than once with a soft and pitiful expression on his face. Charsette though scared of what was to happen to her, she felt.. Strangely at home, the man's cybernetic eyes seemingly repulsed her however, not wanting to look at him, she remained in the corner of the ship during their travel to Dromund Kaas.

As she set foot upon Dromund Kaas, she was filled with the same darkness that struck fear in the Miraluka as Ziost, yet at that moment of fear, a warm hand was placed upon her head, pulling the young girl under the robes of the pale man to cover her from the rain. Though they could have easily taken a speeder or a different form of transport, the pale man chose to have them walk.
The silence was so great, the sloppy steps on the mud towards Kaas city were louder than the rain. Every so often, the Miraluka would shift her sight towards the man's face all the while the pale man's red dot eyes closed like cameras whilst shifting his sight from her to the road. Finally he spoke, his voice was crispy as if his throat was burned, still he tried to sound warm in his approach to the cold and scared Miraluka: "What do they call you ?" He simply asked, the sudden breaking of silence left Charsette in a frozen state as she was shy to speak, yet as she was taught to answer upon questions. "Ch..Charsette.." The girl responded back with a heavy exhaled following. Afterwards the pale man tried to return to the silence that once was, seeing that the girl was still in shock from the sudden changes.

Eventually they would arrive at the capital of the Empire where the residence of the pale man was like many other Sith of the Empire quite well kept, upon a tall level of a building and with a terrace. Yet it was not a large apartment, simply one to keep the Sith under a roof, everything in it was with purpose. A meditation room, bedroom, kitchen and a sparring area.

Charsette was placed upon a spare room that had been requested from the place, prior to the pale man's departure in the look out for Charsette. For the night she was simply left to rest upon her bed where she would calm down and fall asleep.
Upon the next day, she was seated down in front of the pale man who introduced himself as Zedha and claimed to be her brother, though she found it hard to believe due to their differences she would not argue due to her fear of the man, however she would feel a strange warmth about Zedha as if he was a beacon in the dark world of Dromund Kaas.

Naturally Zedha was disappointed with Charsette's quietness and caution, though he did not blame her for it was normal.
Charsette slowly grew accustomed to the new house and every morning she would seek to care for the place, returning to her normal duties as if she was a slave once more, yet each time she was stopped by Zedha who took a parental figure to Charsette, having her instead to go and rest. Though she did not argue with Zedha, she was still left surprised and slightly happy that she got to enjoy a time without strict rules or yelling. Most of her days she would spend undisturbed as Zedha tended to his duties as a Neophyte within the academy of Kaas, during which time Charsette would study, draw, play or listen to the holo-net channels, of course she also spent time tidying the place as old habits died hard.

Eventually Zedha would start to get involved in the life of his younger sibling. Zedha would begin to teach Charsette of the force, the Empire, the Sith and of the galaxy at large, things that left the girl in awe as she enjoyed the stories of Zedha.
They would also partake in games, be it outside or inside, teaching Charsette to live and laugh as they slowly grew closer over the coming months and years. In time Zedha would also begin to prepare his sister for the academy, knowing that he would not be able to hide her from the law. Thus she was trained in Martial arts, the force and learning how to survive in the world of Sith. Though Charsette over the coming years was scared of what was to come, she was reassured by her brother who she could only describe as a shining star in her life, teaching her to live life instead of serving.

The path of the Sith.

Few more years would pass as Charsette reached young adulthood, at the age of nineteen, Zedha could not have been more proud of his sibling, yet a great sorrow was also present in his heart as he knew where she would have to go and how he would need to leave for the front lines once again, it was the life of a warrior he had chosen after all.
As they would embrace each other in a hug, Zedha would eventually take Charsette to Korriban as he had personally requested to see her there. As Charsette was left at the door step of the academy, all she could see is Zedha's back and how is robes waved in the cold wind of the Sith world, a strange feeling filling the Miraluka up the more she stared, though she could not explain it.

The Miraluka felt even more pressure upon this world, her sight clouded by the darkness that loomed over her.. Yet she would not keep her dark overseers waiting, the academy did not feel much different than the slaver's world however it was dark and twisted. Eventually she introduced herself to the cold Overseers who threw her into a batch of purebloods and aliens. In her months as a mere fledgling in the dark side, she would have observed closely how some disappeared without a word and others were simply murdered at places without cameras or witnesses (except herself). She would however learn to hide in the shadows and appear as insignificant as possible in order to survive, knowing she was not strong enough to take on anyone or establish dominance over the battle hardened acolytes. The more time she spend in hiding, the more she learned and the more she was not recognized for a warblade or to serve under a master.. A true coward.

One unfaithful day however whilst studying from the archives in peace, a small delivery droid would slowly roll its way to the Miraluka, the delivery was from an unknown source and once the written letter was delivered, it rolled away..
As the Miraluka opened the letter, she would find a small silver ring on a string and a writ:

Spoiler: Letter.
Charsette only felt a sudden surge of fear for her future, hatred for those that took her shining star away and most of all.. An unending stream of sorrow as if the whole world had collapsed around her. She fell to her knees in the cold loneliness of the academy and sobbed in pain whilst clutching tight to the letter and the ring. It was at that moment the ever growing darkness of the academy would finally make its way to her mind, twisting the Miraluka and feasting on her negative emotions, where it could only feast on her fear.. The dark side now sprouted its claws, digging them into her mind and spreading like cancer as silent whispers were being heard at the ends of the archives, yet there was no one there...
The Miraluka was living a nightmare she could not escape, to lose the only person she could form a close bond to, a devastating moment.. Eventually she rose from her sorry state, wobbling from side to side and leaning against walls to walk, she would make her way outside as if she could not breathe. Once outside she would only find herself in the middle of nowhere upon Korriban, clawing at the sand as the Miraluka was going through a panic attack.. Eventually an ear piercing groan would escape from her, scaring some wildlife away..

In her sorry state of denial and pain, she would only think about what the letter had said "Fight for your happiness."
She could only think of how one can return from the clutches of death.. And so this had become her goal, to find her happiness.

Days later after she could think properly once more, she found herself upon a shuttle heading to a place called: House Horuset. After being deemed a waste of space due to her lack of progress and constant hiding.

Her new dark path had begun.

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
