Ration Meals
Military operations can take place anywhere in the Galaxy and at any time. Field Rations or "Meal Ready to Eat" (MREs) must contain components that can be stored at ambient temperature in a temperate climate for a specified period of time. A temperate climate is generally considered to range between +3°C (37 °F) and +25°C (77°F). Star wars ration packs are undoubtedly far more flexible than real life ration packs due to their advanced technology and food storage, creation and mixture techniques.
Ration Components are selected to provide a soldier with the required daily nutrients and yet remain compact, lightweight and easy to consume. They come in two forms. The Individual Ration Pack and the Ten Man Ration Pack. The nutritional guidelines for Field Ration Packet (FRP) are based on the advice given by the Office of Naval Medicine (ONM) and the Surgeon Generals Office (SG).
Ten Man Ration Packs are primarily used in things such as FOB kitchens, and are designed (obviously) feed ten men for a single day. These are used when the stage of warfighting has allowed the deployment of a field kitchen. Each box of 10
rations is designed to enable a two course breakfast, lunch and three course dinner to be made,
as well as various drinks, both hot and cold.
The Individual Ration Pack, also referred to as the Rotational Ration Pack or the Coruscant Issue Ration Pack contains everything the individual soldier will need for the period of a Coruscant Rotation, 24 hours. The 24 Hr IRP is currently available in one of 20 menus. These menus are mixed 10 to a box, with box Aurek containing menus 1-10, and box Besh menus 11-20. These are then mixed on the pallet with an equal number of box Aurek and Besh. In this way the maximum number of menus is made available to the end user.
Modern Day Ration packs come in a variety of different climate compatible containers and styles. The former is unlikely in our setting as they are more than likely universal in their packaging and storage. The cuisine style however is more than likely similar. However The below menu will be aimed at temperate to arid climates, which is where most of the ingame fighting takes place. This list is also just aimed at humans as different species have different dietary requirements.
Now with all the boring stuff aside, onto the RP stuff.
In RP I think it'd be quite cool in some Military RP Cases where you're sat doing nothing to just whack out an MRE and start scoffing. Now I've given you a load of information to skip up there and for that i apologise, so here's the fun stuff.
Ration Packs in RP can work like this; You're sat in some casual military Rp and you want something to do. You reach into your rig and bang out your first ration pack. Now using the below menu, you hit a /roll 20 in the chat and hit upon a 17, and you then RP eating whatever meal is number 17 on the menu, it's simple and just a bit of fun to add into the RP.

Disclaimer: This is in no way certified Canon or Lore, this is just a bit of fun to spice up casual Military RP. I am also aware of the protein cubes and ration pastes and stuff like that. All those take place 3,000 years later and such. Again, this purely a bit of fun.
