*Acolyte Trakaton would stand facing a holoterminal in the Sith Academy on Korriban, a smile across his face would be partially covered by a bloodstain that had wept from his nose, his piercing red eyes would look directly at the terminal and his hands would glide to the small of his back. With a deep breath, he would begin talking*
I hope this report finds you well, Lord Saud, I record this as I await the shuttle to return me to Drommund Kaas. The others have dispersed, celebrating our success.
*Trakaton would shift his gaze slightly to something out of frame. He’d hesitate ever so slightly before continuing*
After leaving the library with the Champion Korse, I called for other acolytes to join me in the task you commanded of me. Acolyte Aljo, brimming with potential, Acolyte Tashha, a true duellist in the making and Acolyte Jehenne, quick of wits answered the call in turn. We gathered at the base of the Sith Academy on Korriban, in the very heart of our Empire’s success.
From there we used Speeders to take us to the tomb of Dathka Graush. I briefed the others and we quickly realised there were four runes for the five of us. I took it upon myself that I would forego a rune, as the one who had faced the spirit before alongside the Champion.
*Trakaton would cock his head slightly for a brief moment as he says*
And I’m sure you can agree, my Lord, that the Massassi’s weaker mind required the Rune more than I. As we stepped into the tomb, the affect of the power of the amulet was immediate. The runes held the power at bay, yet visions appeared before us. Tuk’ata, a swarm of flesh eating bugs, a deep blood red mist that went up to our knees pervade every hallway we went down. The bugs were kept at bay with Force pushes and brief bursts of Lightning, as they seemed real enough more than anything. The walls themselves swirled alike disturbed water, fading and reappearing into existence. It was at this point, that my lack of rune truly took hold. I fought against the spirit. A battle of the minds.
*Trakaton trails, remembering what happened before continuing by saying*
Jehenne thrust a rune into my hands, which thwarted the spirits attempts. With runes in hand to keep back the mist we pushed further on into the tomb, past the point we got to last time. We came to a bare room, no ornaments, nothing. In the center of it, with a single stream of light coming down on it from a crack through the ceiling and the rock above was the Amulet.
Before anybody could stop her, Korse ran forward and grabbed the amulet, putting it on. It became a battle to get the Sith Runes close to Korse without her breaking the runes. The fight lasted what felt like an eternity, we still battled the influence of the spirit, and as we pushed our Runes to Korse, we lost a large amount of our protection.
It took some time, but Korse was pushed back, briefly pinned, and the runes all near her. She snapped out of the trance, Tashha removing the amulet with haste using her blade to avoid contact and we took a deep breath. We levitated the Sith Runes and the amulet into the air and ran at full speed out of the tomb with nary a look around to see what else we could find. Despite our lack of obvious wounds-
*Trakaton would put a hand to his upper lip, where dried blood would be evident, flaking away as he touched it*
- We were still fatigued, mentally and physically. We escaped the tomb, depositing the runes and
amulet into one of the boxes that the runes were carried in and carried that back with us telekinetically. Each acolyte, performed admirably. The Massassi Korse, despite her moment of being possessed, also performed admirably.
*Trakaton would shuffle his feet slightly, looking up*
The shuttle has arrived. I will be back with your amulet and runes soon, Lord Saud.
*Trakaton’s left hand would come from behind his back and twitch slightly and suddenly, the holorecording would end.*
