The Ships of the Sith Empire
Spoiler: OOC Information:
In this thread, you'll see the ships that House Horuset believes are out there in the Sith Empire along with their specifications. These ships are pulled from a multitude of original legends sources, including other headcanon sources such as The Galaxy Guide 16, but those that went without detailed specifications have had them created for them. Ships such as the S-Class Heavy Cruiser and the S-Class Light Star Cruiser are a combination of what the wider RP community believes their specifications to be and what those in House Horuset have interpreted from the direct sources themselves. The S-Class Light Star Cruiser of legends lore has been split out into the fanon S-Class Heavy Cruiser that much of the naval community uses and a corvette anti-fighter styled ship named the S-Class Light Star Cruiser. Likewise, the BSX-5 Dreadnought has adopted the fanon and community appearance of a full wedge with no split bow, despite it's appearance in Star Wars: The Old Republic as looking identical to a Harrower-Class Dreadnought but a different size.
Above is a diagram representing some of the firing arcs of weapons mentioned in the thread. While the diagram is of a Harrower-Class Dreadnought, it can represent any vessel. Such can be used to identify where on a ship certain weapons or other mechanical objects are and what firing arcs they may have as a result. The underside of a ship is identified as the keel. A direct thanks goes to Katsior, who allowed Horuset to use some of their diagrams of ships.

A small holorecording would play once the file was downloaded. A synthetic Imperial voice would speak, near entirely monotone.
"The Empire’s fleets are mighty and unitary, yet it's ships are divided among numerous definitions and classes. Each and every one serves its own distinct purpose, and each has a greater part to play in the whole that is the Imperial Navy. From Capital Ships, to Warships, to Support Vessels the Imperial Navy stretches across the Sith Empire, it's vanguard military might."
“The original Navy was founded from the remnants of the old starships of the previous Sith Empire, and reformed under the expert and innovative leadership of Odile Vaiken, the first Grand Moff of the Empire. Under Vaiken, the thousand year long plan to begin the build up towards our resurgent return began."
“The following is an overview of the different vessels that have, since its inception under Grand Moff Vaiken, been a mainstay within the Imperial Navy, and a brief history thereof. With these ships as its hammer and anvil, the Imperial Navy will forge conquest in the name of the Empire!”
And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file would go into detail concerning the ships of the Sith Empire and their specifications.
Capital Ships of the Sith Empire:
Spoiler: Harrower-Class Dreadnought:
A small holorecording would play once the file of the ship was downloaded. A synthetic Imperial voice would speak, near entirely monotone.
"The Harrower-Class Dreadnought is the pinnacle of the Empire's shipbuilding engineering. One of the largest known spacecraft to have ever existed, the Harrower boasts one of if not the single greatest array of armaments that any ship has been able to bear. Created by Taerab Starship Manufacturing as the main capital vessel for the Sith Empire upon it's resurgence into the galaxy, the Dreadnought was first prototyped in the massive shipyards in orbit of Dromund Kalakar and has gone through several iterations before arriving at the current designation."
"Like many of the Sith Empire's vessels, the Harrower boasts the wedge shaped configuration that allows it the flexibility to bring both it's port and starboard armaments in a concentrated firing arc on any ship that is directly ahead of the vessel. Such allows the Harrower to pummel any ship with a devastating onslaught that few ships can withstand. Heavily armoured, one of the Harrower's strengths is it's ability to soak up punishment through it's reinforced plating even when it's shields are compromised. A single Harrower-Class Dreadnought requires ten years of output from a single planetary mining colony to produce, leaving it as the single most cost intensive vessel to create, replace or rearm in the Sith Empire's arsenal."
And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file would go into detail concerning the ship's specifications.

Spoiler: Terminus-Class Destroyer:
A small holorecording would play once the file of the ship was downloaded. A synthetic Imperial voice would speak, near entirely monotone.
"The Terminus-Class Destroyer is the workhorse of the Imperial Navy, the most widely deployed capital ship. Manufactured in the dry docks of Dromund Kalakar in it's hundreds, it is the Terminus that carries out escort for the larger Harrowers, or secures recently taken territory while the Dreadnoughts move onto new battles. Having served under the Imperial Navy since before the Battle of Korriban, the Terminus is well known in the galaxy for the formidable ship of the line that it is. In some cases a Terminus has been used as a flagship rather than the traditional Harrower."
"It matches the rest of the Navy with it's wedge design, like a blunted dagger in the void of space. This iconic design allows the Terminus to bring it's weapons around in devastating attacks either from the bow or in a broadside attack. A Terminus is able to manoeuvre quickly in the middle of battle, with a tight turning arc, allowing multiple Destroyers to fill the weak points in an Imperial line left by the much more cumbersome Harrowers. However the Terminus still bears heavy armour in places, and with multiple shield generators nestled between sensor towers, it's lighter frame can take considerable weathering in battle before the ship is compromised."
And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file would go into detail concerning the ship's specifications.

Spoiler: S-Class Heavy Cruiser (Outdated):
A small holorecording would play once the file of the ship was downloaded. A synthetic Imperial voice would speak, near entirely monotone.
"The S-Class Heavy Cruiser is the predecessor to the modern Harrower-Class Dreadnought. Before the return of the Sith Empire to known space, the Sith Empire's navy was primarily operated out of S-Class Heavy Cruisers that were capable of keeping the fledgling navy able to keep the peace in their local systems. Considered outdated by the time of the Cold War, the S-Class was already being phased out of the navy by the time of the Battle of Korriban and the Sith Empire's return to known space."
"Produced from Dromund Kalakar shipyards, it is a ship that no longer serves a true purpose within the modern Sith Empire's navy. With armaments that are capable at both taking down smaller corvettes and heavier ships, this split focus lent the cruiser to it's success when the quiet expansion and build up of the Sith Empire was at hand, but is now considered a weakness of being uncommitted to any one fleet role and instead aiming to do all of them. The heavy armour of the S-Class Heavy Cruiser ensures that even if it's shields wane, it's plating can stave off lighter fire with barely a glance."
And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file would go into detail concerning the ship's specifications.

Warships of the Sith Empire:
Spoiler: BSX-5 Dreadnought:
A small holorecording would play once the file of the ship was downloaded. A synthetic Imperial voice would speak, near entirely monotone.
"The BSX-5 Dreadnought is a warship of the Sith Empire. In similar design to the larger Harrower-Class Dreadnought, most configurations of the BSX-5 see it's bow as a solid wedge instead of the Harrower's two prongs. Such leaves the BSX-5 as a distinctive silhouette in any orbit or in any space battle. Created by Taerab Starship Manufacturing, the BSX-5's most famous vessel is the 'Dominator', the central ship that was used by the previous Dark Council member Darth Jadus. Notably, the Dominator adopted the usage of the Harrower's two prongs rather than a solid wedge, leaving it as one of the outliers of the BSX-5 Dreadnought."
"Notably, the BSX-5 has the same wedge configuration that the Sith Empire has adopted for many of it's fighting vessels. Capable of bringing to bear it's port, starboard and bow armaments onto any target that is directly infront of the vessel, the BSX-5 is a devastating secondary ship in any Imperial fleet. It's three shield generators, power distribution systems and thick armour enable the BSX-5 Dreadnought to act as a vanguard vessel to protect other less defended vessels of the fleet while its laser cannons and small fighter escort enable it to fend off smaller starfighter vessels."
And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file would go into detail concerning the ship's specifications.

Spoiler: Delta-Class Carrier:
A small holorecording would play once the file of the ship was downloaded. A synthetic Imperial voice would speak, near entirely monotone.
"The Delta-Class Carrier is at it's core a starfighter carrier. Considered by some in the Sith Empire to be little more than Hangers attached to a hyperdrive, the Delta-Class Carrier boasts the highest starfighter carrying capacity of any vessel inside the Sith Empire. Created by Dromund Kalakar shipyards, the Delta-Class Carrier was quickly outsourced to be developed on Tandankin after the planet was taken during the early weeks of the Great Galactic War. Lightly armed compared to it's counterparts, the Delta-Class Carrier is designed around counteracting the Galactic Republic's tactics based around their starfighters."
"The most famous Delta-Class Carrier is the Extempus, a Delta-Class Carrier that became the flagship of Moff Nezzor during the Battle of Duro at the breaking of the Treaty of Coruscant and the onset of the Galactic War. A vessel designed to form up the back line of any Imperial Fleet, the Delta-Class Carrier is designated to release it's swarm of fighters and bombers to assist the front line ships with destroying any enemy forces starfighters before moving in to begin bombing any larger vessels. Capable of diverting power to engines to keep in the back line of any engagement, a Delta-Class Carrier without it's starfighters is unheard of."
And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file would go into detail concerning the ship's specifications.

Support Ships of the Sith Empire:
Spoiler: S-Class Light Star Cruiser:
A small holorecording would play once the file of the ship was downloaded. A synthetic Imperial voice would speak, near entirely monotone.
"The S-Class Light Star Cruiser is a Corvette styled ship with a focus on an anti-starfighter role in the Imperial Navy and capable of basic small scale patrols over Imperial aligned worlds. The Light Cruiser is one of the fastest ships in the Sith Empire's navy despite it's aging status due to the manoeuvrable nature of a ship of it's class. Armed with anti-starfighter weaponry in the form of ten laser cannons, the S-Class is just as capable wtih it's fleet duties as it is with taking care of ships of comparable sizes with it's two top mounted turbolaser batteries. Created by Taerab Starship Manufacturing before the Sith Empire's resurgence, the S-Class Light Star Cruiser was the counterpart of it's Heavy Cruiser sibling, but the lighter model has seen retrofits and updated designs to keep it capable of fullfilling a role within the Imperial Navy"
"The S-Class Light Star Cruiser's relatively small size to other ships taking up main fleet roles in a navy has left it as incredibly manoeuvrable and it's front profile further making it hard to hit due to the wedge shaped design that was beginning to be phased in during the S-Class Light Star Cruiser's initial design phase. Capable of firing all of it's port, starboard and bow weapons towards a target infront of it and with fast reaction rapid fire laser cannons and deploying two small fighters out of it's port hanger, the S-Class Light Star Cruiser can ruin a squadron of Republic fighters before they even knew what hit them."
And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file would go into detail concerning the ship's specifications.

Spoiler: VT-22 Light Troop Transport:
A small holorecording would play once the file of the ship was downloaded. A synthetic Imperial voice would speak, near entirely monotone."The VT-22 Light Troop Transport is an in orbit capable carrier used to deploy small units of troops or fighter wings. The fat bellied hull of the VT-22 is a stark contrast to the much larger vessels of the Navy, but this vessel is not a warship. The VT-22 goes where Destroyers or Dreadnoughts cannot go in low orbit, to ferry troops to the ground. Most often this sees the VT-22 between city high rises or the walls of valleys, front line squads being deployed from their hanger bays from speeder bikes or squad transports. It can also hold a small number of fighters, useful for deploying fighter squadrons far from main bases, or providing a forward operating base for refuelling. Capable of docking with a Harrower-Class Dreadnought or landing on a planet's surface, such ships are rarely seen on solo missions. The VT-22 is a difficult carrier to use, but a valuable tool in an experienced commanders arsenal."And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file would go into detail concerning the ship's specifications.

Spoiler: Gage-Class Transport:
A small holorecording would play once the file of the ship was downloaded. A synthetic Imperial voice would speak, near entirely monotone."The Gage-Class transport, is the primary Transport vessel of the Sith Empire. It resembles its larger cousin, the Terminus, as they are both birthed from the same shipyards. The Gage flies support for the Imperial Navy, holding the Imperial logistical infrastructure and fighter wings to give aid in battle. Harrowers win battles, Terminus' hold space, Gage transports keep the heart of the Empire beating. In addition for transporting of military supplies and inactive fighter wings the Gage is often used for the transport of other Imperial supplies, not directly related to the war effort, or can even function as a passenger vessel for army troops or high profile names.""The Gage cuts like a dagger in space, a pointed tip and a narrow hull paint not only an imposing sight but a smaller target for the guns of the enemies. Despite being smaller than the Terminus, it's armour is just as heavy, easily allowing the Gage to weather the most brutal of fire that would cripple a Republic or unaffiliated vessel. Or find itself employed as an efficient ram. It's dagger design allows for a near all round firing arc, but the turbolasers are not the main weapon of the Gage. It's primary defence comes from the ISF interceptors stored within, providing a smoke screen of single man fighters that can dog the enemy with sheer numbers."And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file would go into detail concerning the ship's specifications.

Spoiler: Keizar-Volvec Bulk Cruiser:
A small holorecording would play once the file of the ship was downloaded. A synthetic Imperial voice would speak, near entirely monotone."The Keizar-Volvec Bulk Cruiser is dual purpose bulk-cruiser of the Sith Empire. Taking design inspiration from the larger Harrower-Class Dreadnought and the smaller VT-22 Troop Transport, it's flat and wide blocky shape with a notable forward facing hanger bay. Not often seen in use by the Imperial Navy as even the Gage-Class Transport carriers heavier guns, it has seen rare usage as carrier vessels; Darth Chratis had at one point used one such example as a command ship, that being the Paramount.""The Keizar-Volvec is not known for it's firepower but rather the immense hollow space inside it's bulky skeleton, allowing for vast amounts of fighter squadrons on deployment racks. Though more commonly it is seen as a bulk transport, capable of transporting several times the magnitude of other Imperial vessels. When used for cargo transport shuttles can fill the vast hold from the stern towards the bow, leaving some space at the hanger opening for shuttles to move and lift cargo containers. Alternatively the vessel is capable of planetary landing for direct loading and unloading. The weak defences of this ship mean it is almost never seen outside of the Empire as it constantly requires escorting for it's cargo."And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done.
