Task For Acolytes:
A simple written message would be attached.
"Acolytes of the Powerbase, as I am sure you are all painfully aware of already - rations have been cut. Whilst some attempts to gather additional food have likely already been made I doubt that they are sufficient enough to feed an entire camp and war force. My task to you is to forage, hunt and find whatever food you can. Bring all food items that you suspect to be edible to the quartermaster's and chefs. If it is edible, the day's meal may be bolstered and we may all go another day without facing starvation."
Task Parameters:
"As agreed with those in position to authorise such, you are to gather all food that you can through the means of scavenging, foraging and hunting. Though you are not to pillage or rob food from Imperial civilians, seizing of their livestock and crops would only serve to bolster the recruitment potential of the insurgents."
Suggested foodstuffs:
- Meat from wild animals that do not appear to be diseased.
- Seeds, grains and wild fruit.
- Weeds and nettles, that could be boiled into soup.
- Large quantities of insects, which could be processed into nutrition bars and given to civilians rather than -our- rations.
Numbers Required:
Although any number of acolytes could partake at a given time, it is advised that no more than 2 or 3 venture out at once - to not attract an enemy response.
Reward:
Eating for another day.
Timeframe:
This task is repeatable, it will exist until the food crisis is resolved.
