Operation: Magnum Force

#6
Operation Report: Magnum Force
Attendees: Sith Satjaza
Sith Suyni
Acolyte Seranaus
- - - - - - - -
Sith Suyni provided Acolyte Seranaus and I a briefing a few hours before we arrived on Bescane - she had also arranged for an advance party of Sith Tiwura's militiamen to establish themselves on the ground in order to allow our unhindered arrival, and to start gathering intel on the band of criminals that had started peddling various drugs on the streets to anyone with half an ear for the attention being demanded of them. Upon arrival planetside, we met up with this advance party who provided the gathered intel, with it the identity of a Twi'lek bearing the current password into the criminal base of operations, a password which reportedly changed every six hours. Under the guise of civilians wanting to purchase some of the aforementioned drugs for themselves, the supporting militia drew the twi'lek into a side building, and by the time Acolyte Seranaus and I arrived, he was fully willing to be cooperative in exchange for his life. More not so gentle prompting had us gain access to the compound, fighting easily through a small guarding party that was stationed at the entrance. Acolyte Seranaus, under the orders of 'no survivors', put down the informant once his usefulness had expired. A short while afterwards, we found our way into the heart of the compound. The gathered criminals within were either intoxicated and lounging about the place, or otherwise unprepared to be facing a conflict of any kind from the comfort of their operational base. The element of surprise served to allow a swift end to the compound in its entirety, including the late arrival of what was likely considered the leader of their element. A brief scan of the surrounding chambers assured that survivors and witnesses numbered zero. The successful dismantling of this wannabe cartel prompted favourable negotiations with a splinter of the Bescane Security force, one that had grown discontent with the larger workings of the planetary law enforcement. They were given a guarantee of rapid relocation, and allowed placement within the Tiwura Militia. Offers which, as expected, were eagerly accepted.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
